The Triangle
(2001)

Just plain fun!
This movie isn't the greatest movie ever made but I definitely enjoyed watching it. It moved quickly and before I knew it, it was over. The storyline is about three men who go on an annual trip and this time they go fishing -- and end up in the Bermuda Triangle. Greed takes over Stu and he kills the Captain and his girlfriend. I think the end seemed a little rushed... and it made a bad lasting taste of the movie (There are many "chase scenes" in movies, but when a luxury liner starts chasing two people in a lifeboat -- come on!). But all in all, it was just plain fun!

The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw
(1991)

Reba saves this movie
The only reason I can watched this movie was because Reba McEntire was in it. The movie itself isn't very exciting. It seems that they may have been pushing "The Gambler" success with this one. I don't think this is a great movie, but it does have a couple of humorous moments.

Yes, Dear
(2000)

Oh, Dear!
As with NBC's "Cursed", the only reason this show is still on the air is because of its timeslot. Sitting comfy between "The King of Queens" and "Everybody Loves Raymond". First, let's look at the actors' past history with TV failures: Anthony Clark ("Boston Common", "Soul Man"), Jean Louisa Kelly ("Cold Feet"), Liza Snyder ("Jesse") and Mike O'Malley ("The Mike O'Malley Show", "Life with Roger"). The show has received many bad reviews, and most critics seem to agree on one thing: the timeslot is this show's lifesaver. In the end, the show will have to stand on its own merits and without the timeslot, let's see how long it lasts then...

Cursed
(2000)

Cursed - Has there ever been a more perfect title?
The series was cursed from the start (no pun intended). I am totally amazed that this show is still on the air. If not for its timeslot, it would have been cancelled by now. The cast is not to blame - the writers are. Steven Weber is a fine actor as is Amy Pietz, but this show is not meant for them... they made a mistake taking these roles...

The King of Queens
(1998)

Kevin James is... The King of Queens
"The King of Queens" has its bad moments, yes, but when it gets into a funny scene - it's hilarious. Kevin James is hilarious... and the show is constantly using his weight for humor, and it works. This is a great show at times, and horrible at others - as any show is. I'm not a big fan of the rest of the cast, but Kevin James is wonderful.

The Jeffersons
(1975)

We watched as they moved on up...
All in the Family became famous for its controversial views and opinionated episodes... then the spin-off Maude became known for taking the female side... and then The Jeffersons became the African American side of the views...

The series was great, in my opinion, solely because of Isabel Sanford. Without her, I wouldn't have watched the series. I can't watch too many episodes of it in a row because of the constant ramblings of Sherman Hemsley. Now don't get me wrong, I like the series, but after a while the episode plots seem to all revolve around money and the lack of, or the fact that there's too much...

Great show although some of the plots were a little weak. As with its parent show All in the Family... it's a classic.

Maude
(1972)

The Other Side of All in the Family...
"Maude" was a chance for the people of "All in the Family" to tackle the female side of the issues... by creating a powerful, subtle and humorous woman that had just as strong views as Archie Bunker.

Bea Arthur has since become well known for her humor and the looks at the camera... she was the perfect choice for Maude... noone else could have pulled it off.

Throughout the years "Maude" tackled many issues and caused controversial uproars, just as it's parent show "All in the Family" did.

When naming a list of the most memorable shows, "Maude" should be listed at the top... although it hasn't earned the respect as it should have now.

If you get a chance to watch this series... do it...

Welcome to New York
(2000)

A series with potential...
As I watched the first episode I thought this was going to be one of those series to die fast and fade quickly, but now I have to admit there were better things to come. As the series has progressed the episodes have gotten better with better scripts and the cast is finally becoming used to their roles... I still have doubts that CBS will keep the series for a second season due to the poor (but decent) ratings, but it does have potential and will probably be one of those series to be cancelled before its time.

Bette
(2000)

It's "I Love Lucy" Bette-style
This series has at times reminded me of I Love Lucy... but with that dash of originality... otherwise known as Bette Midler...

True, it's not one of those series to last for many years (The Simpsons, Law & Order, Murphy Brown) but it very well put together and written. Of course, it won't last, but at least we got to see something of the same arena as Lucille Ball's unforgettable character.

"Bette" may not leave behind a legacy and may not last that long... but it just proves that The Divine Miss M is not only the Queen of movies, music, comedy... but also, television.

A Different World
(1987)

Addictive
I watched this show once by accident and couldn't stop. It's one of the best shows on television, it allows you to grow with the characters! Dawnn Lewis, Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, and Charnele Brown are unforgettable characters! Great show!

Don Quixote
(2000)

A touching classic...
A touching story of a man and his dreams. Everyone else is trying to destroy the happiness he has... all his books (a library full) they say are causing him to have his "dreams", so they burn them all (all the books he has gathered over the years), and then seal the library off... a very touching movie... John Lithgow really breaks out of the character from 3rd Rock from the Sun... if you get the chance, record it... it's a great, CLASSIC film...

Work with Me
(1999)

One word? Corny.
I watched one episode, and all I can say is CORNY... yes, I'd embarrass myself and use that word, this show is terrible!

All it really is, is one of the 1999 season shows... it will not carry on to the 2nd season in my opinion.

Stupid plots, dull characters, and idiot jokes!

Do not watch this show if you can help it- waste of time!

Needful Things
(1993)

Books vs. Movie
Do not watch this movie if you have read the book... it is a major let down.

As for scary, there is only one scene that is scary and it's about a skinned dead dog.

But all I can say if you read the book first and then watch the movie it will not be interesting because it is very different from the book, and it's only minorly entertainment.

Beverly Hills, 90210
(1990)

Going... going... gone!
The show was good for a while... A SHORT WHILE. Even though the show has become a trademark part of TODAY'S TELEVISION.

But now, when it hits it's 10th year, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen leaves the show, then Jason Priestly, hmm... a sign of a dieing show?

I think so.

I truly believe this year will be the LAST for 90210.
