Adaptation of michael ondatjee's eponymous epic novel, this movie is a breathtaking story of doomed lovers during world war II. Anthony minghella's brilliant screenplay and great acting by lead actors are the anchors of this movie. A poem in motion, highly recommended.

this perhaps is the best movie I have ever seen.The slender portrayal of the lead characters just doesn't leave you for a long time. Locales are very good, so is music and direction.

A must-watch.
