Return to Cabin by the Lake
(2001)

I Loved This Movie!!
I don't know if I'm just weird, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

Return to Cabin by the Lake is of course the sequel to another one of my favorite films Cabin by the Lake. In fact, I think that I enjoyed this movie even more than the first one. I also thought that the cast in this movie was great, Judd Nelson is always the best! I also enjoyed the plot as a whole. I liked the fact that this second movie focused on the filming of Stanley's screenplay Cabin by the Lake- it wasn't a completely redundant film of Stanley grabbing other girls and drowning them. - If you're looking for some deep meaning, then this film is probably not the one for you. However, if you're looking for a fun way to spend two hours, then go ahead and watch it. I've probably already killed at least ten hours watching this film. :)

Cabin by the Lake
(2000)

An Entertaining Movie
My comments? Simple: I loved the movie Cabin by the Lake. This is a wonderful TV movie and a great way to spend a couple of hours. - Yes, the plot is a little unrealistic- a writer doing some "research" for his horror film by actually drowning women and then writing about it. But aren't movies supposed to be unrealistic? - I recommend that you watch Cabin by the Lake. Go ahead and give it a chance, you may be surprised. If you like it, then I definitely recommend that you watch the sequel Return to Cabin by the Lake, which I thought was even better than the first film.

Going to California
(2001)

A Different View
I've been watching "Going to California" since the beginning and I totally disagree with the previous person that commented on the show. I ordered Showtime just so that I could get the chance to see this show, and I was not disappointed. I have found all of the plots and all of the writing interesting enough to watch for 50 minutes, but unlike the previous person that commented, I am quite far from where the show was filmed, so I haven't seen any of the sights there before. Okay, so some of the plots are a little weird (i.e. Rhino Boy), but the plot is still interesting and I wouldn't change the channel for anything. I also think that the actors do a wonderful job and that the show is well written. I think that the writers are doing an awesome job. I hope that Showtime keeps this series going for some time to come. I give it a 5/5.

Big Monster on Campus
(2000)

I Was Not Disappointed!!
I bought this film after seeing it listed here on the IMDB. I wasn't sure what to expect- I wasn't even sure what the film was totally about. I decided to go ahead and purchase it after not being able to find it anywhere. - After watching it, I was extremely pleased with my decision. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire movie. The movie wasn't exactly what I had expected, but it was a fun hour and a half. I have watched it many times since and it has become a favorite of mine. :) Matthew Lawrence, Ryan Renolds, Justin Walker, Christine Lakin, and all of the other actors did a *GREAT* job! Very entertaining! I give it a 5 out of 5.

The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo
(1996)

A Wonderful Show For All Ages
A couple of years ago, I used to watch Nickelodeon all the time. Then, as I got a little older, I started to drift away from Nickelodeon, but there was still one show that I enjoyed watching- "The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo". It was such a great show with a wonderful cast! It was about a girl named Shelby who had a part-time job at the local police station. She would talk about all of the cases that the detective was in the process of solving, and she would usually end up solving the cases herself. Along the way to solving them, viewers would watch her talk to suspects, and hopefully, they could solve the mystery on their own. It was sort of like the Encyclopedia Brown book series. I think that the show lost a lot in the last season. The entire cast was replaced except for Shelby. I would still watch this show if the episodes were re-run. To anyone that missed this great show- The books are pretty good, too. :) I give this a 10 out of 10!

American High
(2000)

The Only "Reality" Show to Watch!
I have to say that when I first read/heard about the premise of this show, I thought that it would be simply crap. I've viewed quite a few of these "reality" shows (eg. "Survivor", "Big Brother",...) and some of these shows are almost laughable. I didn't even bother to check out the first couple of episodes of "American High" that were shown on Fox. I had no idea what I was missing out on. I was surfing through channels, unable to find anything good to watch at 10 PM on a Wednesday night. I stopped on PBS, which is a very rare occurrence, and I found a show that actually held my attention. I had no idea what I was watching until a little bit into the show. I was very surprised at how good this show actually was. I think it's very interesting and informative to see so many different types of teenagers. Whether you love them or hate them, you get a good look at what their lives are really like. Now I really look forward to watching this show every week (It's on for an hour, but it only seems like twenty minutes to me). I never got to see the beginning of this series, and I hope that PBS either re-runs the series in it's entirety or that they start all over again, following new teens. This show has really been an enlightening pleasure to watch. This show gets 10 stars in my book.

Psycho Beach Party
(2000)

Was it good?
It took a lot for me to find this video at a video rental store, but I did it. I sat down to watch the film and it seemed okay during the beginning. I was really looking forward to actually getting to see this. During the film, I thought that it was okay... Not as good as I had expected. But after I had watched the film, I really loved it. I'm not sure what happened. I think that the cast really did a superb job in this film, and I liked the idea of a murder mystery 50's beach movie. So, all in all I was satisfied with the film. It is now one of my favorites.

Higher Ground
(2000)

One of the BEST shows ever!
"Higher Ground" was an amazing show. Sadly, it only lasted for one season. I believe this was due to the fact that it wasn't publicized enough and I personally feel that it was on at the wrong time slot. Many teens aren't even at home watching television on Friday nights at 8 PM, and if they are there are too many shows to compete with. The show had excellent storylines and such a great cast. Everyone was wonderful. It was also a great family show- everyone could watch. I used to watch it with my mom. I just really wish that they had tried a different time slot. Although they did have a "marathon" which consisted of two episodes every night for a week (which really isn't even a marathon). It definitely wasn't enough. I heard that NBC was thinking of picking it up at the end of the season, but of course they didn't. That would have just been false hope anyways, NBC always cancels their good shows left and right... I really wish that I could at least see re-runs of this wonderful show again.

Freaks and Geeks
(1999)

One of the best shows I've seen in a long time...
I have to admit, I never really watched this show when it first aired on NBC...I can't even remember seeing ads for it, but thankfully I stumbled across it while watching Fox Family. I'm very glad that I have gotten the chance to watch this amazing show. It is one of the funniest, most realistic "teen" shows that I have seen in a while. While I can't say that I relate to this show 100%, it takes place about two decades ago, the storylines and the characters are still very believable and a joy to watch. Even though the show does take place quite a while ago, there's still the "cliques" of high school, the losers, the smart kids, the stoners,... I hate the fact that the good shows that teens can actually somewhat relate to are always cancelled so that we can see more of the horrible "Dawson's Creek"-ish crappy teen dramas.

Sunset Beach
(1997)

The Only Soap I'd Ever Watch
I hadn't really ever watched a soap opera before, but "Sunset Beach" isn't really your average soap. It was much better. That's probably partly due to the fact that Aaron Spelling was behind it. I remembered seeing ads for it and then during the summer I decided to see what it was all about. After the first episode I was hooked! I would tape it everyday, so I would never miss an episode. Sadly, NBC decided to trade it in for "Passions", which I liked at the beginning, but that's another story... Basically, I just wish that it was still on the air. The plots weren't very realistic, but they were fun to watch (especially the "Terror Island" special. A great take-off on "Scream"), and that's what TV and soap operas are all about. The show had such a wonderful cast- I'll really miss them - It was such a wonderful show!!

Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy
(1996)

It gets better every time
After watching "Kids in the Hall" re-runs on Comedy Central, I looked it up on the internet and found out that the Kids had made a movie. I had no idea about this because I probably a little young at the time. I rented this movie, having no idea what to expect. After I finished viewing it, I thought it was merely "okay". Since then I have watched it a couple more times and now I think it's an extremely great movie. In fact, I've recently even purchased my own copy. I don't know why it gets better, but every time I watch it, I like it more and more. I think that it was a very funny movie and hopefully we'll see another one sometime in the future.

Malibu Shores
(1996)

Another Wonderful Show
I remember how excited I was to hear that Keri Russell and Tony Lucca were doing a show together. "The Mickey Mouse Club", or "MMC", was my favorite show growing up and I was thrilled that two of my favorite people from the show were going to be working with each other again. I had no idea what the show was going to be like, but it turned out to be a great show. There were always some issues going on with the characters, but the issues were always things that could, and did, occur in real life. There was also always a good ending, or a moral, to the episode. It wasn't at all like the teen shows that we have on now. It was a quality show. It seems to me that shows like that never last, and it's a shame. Each cast member was very talented, and proving it is the fact that they all, well most of them, went on to do "bigger" things after the show. I would give this show ten stars. :) **********

NewsRadio
(1995)

One of the best shows ever!
I never really watched this show when it was airing on NBC. I'm still just a teen now and I was probably busy watching Nickelodeon when it was airing for the first time. Somewhere along the way, I stumbled upon some re-runs on UPN and I was hooked. I absolutely love this show. I didn't watch it for a while, but while I was home from school one day, I found that A&E has re-runs of it twice a day. Now I never miss it. I think it is an excellent show with an excellent cast. Everyone does a great job and every show is wonderfully written and very funny. I definitely don't think that there will ever be another show like it.

Weird Science
(1994)

I LOVE This Show!!
I remember watching this series on USA quite a few years ago. I was pretty young back then, but I vaguely remembered seeing it. I was just hoping that I would get the chance to see it again and thankfully I did as Fox Family picked up the re-runs of this show. I've started watching the series again and I LOVE IT! I hadn't watched the John Hughes film, which this series is based on, until a little bit before I saw the series for the second time. I have to say that I enjoy the television series even more than the film. While, both casts were great, there's just something about the television series that makes me enjoy it more. I just hope that Fox Family continues showing re-runs of the show for a long time.

Talk Soup
(1991)

Hal Sparks was great
I started off watching "Talk Soup" with host John Henson. I thought that he was very funny and I thought that the premise of the show was pretty good... Showing the "funny" clips from all of the other daytime and late night shows. I loved John Henson as a host- I never missed an episode. After John Henson left, I expected to hate the next host. After I saw Hal Sparks for the first time, I loved him! Although Hal isn't the same as John, I didn't feel that the show lost anything. I did however feel like the show lost something when Hal left and gave the purple chair (which finally reappeared) over to Aisha Tyler. I now rarely watch the shows and I long to see the episodes with either John or Hal hosting. For those that hated Hal- I read an interview that he did and I agree with him. - John was a guy's guy and Hal was more of a girl's guy. "Talk Soup" is still a show that you should check out sometime.

Ready or Not
(1993)

A Great Show
I really enjoyed this show. I used to watch re-runs on Disney during the weekend. I have no idea if it is on the Disney Channel any more. Although, I did see that it was back on about a year ago. I was fortunate enough to see a re-run when I was in Canada, and I have to say, I really do still enjoy the show. It's another one of those great shows that should still be on, or at least a show like it, instead of all of these WB shows that we have now.

Roundhouse
(1992)

How good was this show???
I remember back when I used to watch Nickelodeon for about ten hours a day. They had such great shows. What happened?? "Roundhouse" was one of my favorites. It was such a cool mix of sketch comedy and dancing/singing. I absolutely loved it and I would still probably be watching it if it was on television. It was a really one of a kind show with a wonderful cast. I doubt we'll see a kid's television show like it again.

California Dreams
(1992)

A Wonderful Show
I used to watch this show almost a decade ago. I was pretty young at the time, but I remember watching some re-runs somewhere and then finding out that it was one of the TNBC (Teen NBC) shows on Saturday mornings. After the first couple episodes, I was hooked. I don't know what it is about this show that got me hooked, but I was hooked. :) After watching "Saved By the Bell" for years, I watch it now and I almost cringe, but "California Dreams" was a great show and I loved watching re-runs up until a couple years ago, when they went off the air. Hopefully, I'll get to see some re-runs of it again... I really miss the cast. :)

MMC
(1989)

A "Fun" Show :)
I used to love watching "The Mickey Mouse Club", or better yet "MMC", as a kid. I was pretty much obsessed with the show. I had almost every episode on tape. :) This show was such a great show for kids and teens to watch. They had cute little skits along with singing and dancing, not to mention a wonderful cast. I would probably compare this show to Nickelodeon's "Roundhouse", but to me they were both really different shows. The success of so many of the castmates (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera,...) just proves how well the casting directors did their job. :) It's been really fun to get to see so many of the mouseketeers grow up and be so successful. It's kind of like I grew up with them. All in all, this was a great show. I would of course give it a ten out of ten. :)

The Kids in the Hall
(1988)

Just about the funniest show ever!!
I have watched "Saturday Night Live" for as long as I can remember and I remember seeing ads for a new Lorne Michaels show called "The Kids in the Hall". Sadly, we didn't have HBO at the time, not to mention, I was only about 4 or 5 years old when it first aired. Since then, I have seen numerous re-runs on Comedy Central, and I have to say this show is so much better than "Saturday Night Live". I'm sorry that I never got the chance to see the full episodes on HBO. Even so, I am very glad that I have gotten to see what I have, but unfortunately Comedy Central has cut it down to only one episode of "KITH" per day. Hopefully this is just for the summer, as "Kids in the Hall" is a wonderful, smart, and of course just about the funniest show that I've ever seen. It gets a 10 out of 10 from me! I'll keep watching for as long as it's on television.

The Fearing Mind
(2000)

Another Great Show
"The Fearing Mind" is a great show about a writer, Bill Fearing, his stories, and his life. I have to say that I really enjoy this show. The stories are very well thought out and they give you that creepy, spine-tingling chill. This show cleverly mixes the Fearing family's real life and the thrilling stories that Bill Fearing writes. It's a fun show to watch, like a series of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" or "Goosebumps" for an older audience. The episodes usually start out at the Fearing residence where something is always going on. Then at some point Bill will start writing or daydreaming about his new story (there's a new one in each episode) and you see the story that is in his head. It's like a show within a show. Then it heads back to the real world where the Fearing family left off and then goes back and forth throughout the episode. Don't worry, it's not as hard to follow as it sounds. :) Every single episode that I have seen so far has been very satisfying and the actors (the main cast and the different actors in every story) are always great and bring a lot to the show. Go watch it!!

Hollywood Off-Ramp
(2000)

A GREAT show!
I think that "Hollywood Off-Ramp" is a great show. While, the plot of all of the episodes, showing what's really underneath Hollywood, may not sound like that great of a plot, it does do justice to what E! is about- Hollywood, stars, and such. The show has a great, polished look to it and I do enjoy the whole of the episode, including the endings. Some people say that the endings are not satisfying, but I myself find them great...Some of the plots and endings may seem 'weird', but that's what the show is about. Although some episodes are much better than others, I haven't seen one that I completely hated. If you enjoy "Twilight Zone"-ish shows this is a great one to watch. So, give it a chance, watch a couple episodes. :)

Big Wolf on Campus
(1999)

The Best Show Around
"Big Wolf On Campus" is one of the best shows that I have seen in a long time. Not only are the actors great, but every episode of the show is great, too. It has a certain quality about it- it intermixes the horrors of high school life and the "fun" stuff that you really want to see on television. I've never seen one episode of the series that made me cringe, like some of the other "teen" shows that are out there. The show has a great humorous quality to it that really makes the show what it is. Besides of the humour, the actors also make you love the show. Every single actor makes their role come alive and they all bring a lot to the show. This show is especially one of the best on the air because it really is a "family" show. People of every age can get enjoyment out of it. I guarantee that if you watch this show you will love it and fall in love with the characters themselves.
