This is a movie about a skilful boy who´s a special gift to play marbles. He´s a talented and well known child in his home town who´s challenged to compete against the big adult champ from a near by village.

This is one of the few Mexican movies with no sex scenes and very few foul language. Highly recommended to be enjoyed with the family and to remember this almost-forgotten but delicious old-fashioned game.

Too bad we don´t have movies like this one anymore!

The sequence of the different dreams from these six children let me understand better my own siblings. When my daughter at night cries because of her fright I always remember this movie from my own childhood and hug her tight.

Another mexican movie that shows the Mexico we don´t want anymore. Without any doubt it is one of the best mexican movies ever made. Francisco Athie directs this craft in which Lumi Cavazos -´Como Agua Para Chocolate´- performs a character tender and strong at the same time. A political assassination plot is told here and investigated by a young male looser journalist.

Magnificent use and manage of the so called ´emotional movie´ since it has a scene at the end of it that lasts about 5 min. set in a storm.
