Capote
(2005)

Overrated Crap
I'll be honest and say when I rented this I didn't know anything about it. The only thing I had heard was Mr. Hoffman had a stellar performance. I liked him in movies such as Owning Mahony, Magnolia. The first 30 minutes of this movie were quite interesting. Then it got incredibly boring. I kept looking at the clock every 20 minutes to see if it was over. I wasn't able to finish the last 20 minutes of the movie because it was so dreadfully boring. There is nothing interesting about watching a gay man with a lisp. I thought this movie was a murder mystery, and what I found was nothing interesting what so ever. I am very surprised with all of the positive reviews, but then again people are getting used to terrible movies.

Prime
(2005)

Pure Crap
Prime is the worst movie I've seen in the last year. When I first heard of this movie I couldn't wait to rent it because the previews made it sound hilarious. I was enjoying it for the first 20 minutes, and then I was put to sleep. This is a comedy, and I didn't laugh a single time. I was also put off by all of the flat religious jokes. The last 30 minutes is a jumbled up mess. It's like it didn't know how to end so it just kept going, and going, and going. If I had the choice of either digging a ditch, or watching prime I'd dig a ditch. The lead actor is very stale. At times you want to strangle him because he's so bad of an actor. I read a previous reviewer state this felt like a Woody Allen movie. I agree, and it's the worst I've seen.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose
(2005)

Terrible Movie
When I see people list this movie in their top 5 scariest movies of all time I want to throw a brick at their heads. This movie isn't scary, nor is it original. It's basically a hybrid of The Exorcist and Law and Order. My girlfriend and I rented this movie a few months ago thinking it was going to be awesome. About 30 minutes in we were ready to turn it off, but we finished it. I remember looking at the clock at least 30 times wondering when it would ever end. Neither of us had ever been so bored with a movie in our entire lives. I would go as far to say this is in my top 20 worst movies of all time. I didn't find a single scene scary, or the least bit original. I've seen thousands of horror movies in my time, and this shouldn't be considered in that category.

Event Horizon
(1997)

What did I just watch?
What in the world did I just watch? It seemed to be a jumbled up mess. I've had this movie for several years, but I had never watched it. I just popped it in, and was surprised how bad it was. Why did they cast Laurence Fishburne in this movie. He was terrible in it. He's a black man who acted White the entire movie. I've never seen a black man act so stuck up in a movie before. Sam Neill's character didn't even make sense to me. He's supposed to the bad guy, but what exactly made him go crazy? We never get to know. Things aren't explained how they should be. Event Horizon seemed to be a hacked mess. It kinda reminded me of a new outer limits episode. I wouldn't saw this movie is unwatchable, but it is very basic and nothing exactly original. Someone said let's make a Scifi movie, and put a Hellraiser spin on it.... I wouldn't recommend this film....
