Eternals
(2021)

I dont understand the hate
Chloé Zhao brings a unique, artistic touch to the film, with breathtaking landscapes and a natural color palette. The action scenes are impressive and distinct from what we're used to in other Marvel films.

The film introduces a wide array of new heroes, each with their own unique powers and personalities. The dynamics between the Eternals are engaging, and the cast (including Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Kumail Nanjiani) delivers strong performances.

The film expands the MCU with a rich history and mythology that spans thousands of years. This adds a new dimension to the Marvel universe.

Eternals goes beyond the typical superhero formula, tackling big questions about humanity, morality, and our place in the universe. This adds a philosophical layer that encourages reflection.

While the film explores interesting themes, it doesn't always succeed in building a deep emotional connection with all the characters. Some characters could have used more development.

The film alternates between philosophical conversations and spectacular action scenes, but this balance isn't always well-executed. Some dialogue scenes feel a bit drawn out.

In conclusion i find it a visually stunning and ambitious film that attempts to explore the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new way. While the film occasionally struggles with pacing and character development, it offers a fresh take on the superhero genre with its deeper themes and epic world-building. If you're looking for something different from the typical Marvel formula, Eternals is definitely worth a watch!

LOL: Last One Laughing Australia
(2020)

If this is a representation of comedy in Australia...
The format of lol is really funny. 10 comedians for 6 hours in a room and no laughter allowed. Watched the Canadian, German, Dutch versions and it was amusing and even funny. Than i tried the Australian one.. oh boy. As if i was watching mentally challenged kids. Poop and d*ck humor. A mental hospital would kick some of these people out. I know some funny Australian comedians, but they weren't in that show. If these people represent the quality of humor in Australia i understand why the Brits shipped them out of the country. Disfunctional, not funny and disgusting "jokes". Loud and childish. There should be a season 2 to show the world there also are funny people in Australia.

Black Adam
(2022)

Even when you turn your brain off its a hard watch
Cliche fest with a chain of Goofy plot holes and illogical story choices.

Too bad Jordan Peele turned this down to give Jaume Collet-Serra an opportunity to make a blockbuster. It failed. The jokes were played out. I didnt care about the characters. The action was boring. The cgi felt like i was watching a game. The music was lazy. The dialogues felt cheaply fabricated. The whole movie felt like a quick money grab and a disrespect to the audience. After 20 years of superhero movies the bar should be high. Black Adam as an antihero was the perfect opportunity to create something unique but instead the director decided to play it safe and in the end its a good vs bad story. The idea of a opressed people that only get saved by the west when they profit from it is a nice political message. That got me engaged long enough to finish the whole movie.

Krapopolis
(2023)

Feels rushed
Dan Harmon with a cast full of famous comedians and actors really made me want to love this. Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry are one of my favorite comedians off all time. I love Community and Rick and Morty. But it seems these ingredients didnt work at all with Krapopolis. It lacked chemistry. It seems like the comedians read their lines from a piece paper. The characters never feel ' alive'. The slapstick, fast paced childish jokes feel rushed and lack creativity and dept. It missed quality from all parts. The voices didnt work, the writing didnt work and Dan Harmons touch seems lost.

I will keep continue watching this series, because i hope it will better and this is just the result of awkwardness off the cast doing these voices. And i hope that the writers of this show find their mojo so the quality of the show will improve. Right now its bland and awkward.

Casino
(1995)

It didnt age well
Its a treat to see De Niro and Pesci act. But the way this movie is made doesnt work for me. The storytelling kind of movie where every scene start with a song and a monologue. It really started to annoy me when i was 40 min in. The story itself is constantly repeating how it works, what goes wrong and why they do it. All in all i didnt enjoy this movie at all.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 6: The Prisoner
(2019)
Episode 6, Season 1

Childish
Bad and over the top acting. Stereotypical bad guys. Good Guy somehow knows exactly how everything works. Didn't like this one.

Warrior Nun
(2020)

If you like teen love stories
I watched the first 4 episodes with my girlfriend and the teen love story, the predictable action scènes and long and unnecessary dialogues felt like there was too much fill in to stretch time. My girl liked it enough and watched the rest without me.

So i give it 5* because i think there is an audience for it and the special effecten and action scènes where allright.

Unforgiven
(1992)

Good cast and nostalgia couldnt safe this flawed movie
It just doesnt make sense. A guy who cant hold a pistol leaves his kids to chase some bullies and becomes the best shooter in the west without any training. A lot of scenes just didnt age well. Conversations all seem forced and over the top.

But its good to see good actors at work.

Shazam!
(2019)

Cute movie for Kids.
I really couldnt care much about this movie. The typical good vs evil story is boring. It's about an orphan who rejects society and try to find his mom. He gets adopted in a loving family with other orphans. Also he gets superpowers and have to fight against a villain who want the superpowers for himself. Sounds familiar?

The CGI is oke. You really can see its computer made but it looks decent enough. The soundtrack isnt special and sometimes reminds me of Home Alone.

Really nothing special but i guess its an oke watch if you have nothing better to do.
