  • Death Serves Its Entertainment Once Again, Even If Its Still Flawed

    6.5/10

Bloodlines kicks off with a strong opening sequence, slick, intense, and a clear sign of upgraded direction and production, also, it is possibly the best acting in all Final Destination, fun? Yes, especially the death sequence, even in the most awful Final Destination film, the death sequence always locked you in.

Storywise, well, it hasn't been that different since the previous 5 movies, even if they try to put different structure in the film like in this one, at the end it is still the same thing, i don't think and believe there will be a great Final Destination movie as a whole, except they not only have a super creative death, but also original story, with some really cinematic filmmaking and all great characters and performance.

I did quite enjoy the death sequence in Bloodlines, although i've seen some better one but still there are some good ones and some are just ok, Death is now chasing a family generation, truly, Richard Harmon characters was the one that i found most interesting, the rest of the cast was not bad, they were just fine.

The generational twist and extra character backstory are welcome attempts at freshness, but because i personally never fully connect with these new faces at the first place, the deeper development sometimes drags, and its emotional beats specifically the death scene lack real emotional impact.

Overall, Bloodlines is fine, Death serves its entertainment once again, even if it's still the same movie, well, it's a family target now, with some a little bit of different structure (same, but i appericate the attempt), more character development (although a bit flaws), and good performances, have some fun with it without thinking much about the previous movie or acting and characters, that's my problem, and even i still found Bloodlines in the Final Destination universe a better installment, the original is still the best in the franchise, 3 and 4 are the worst one, and i still rather rewatch FD2 and 5, Bloodlines is not without its flaws but also not without its fun.

  • Ted 2 Still Enjoyable, But Not Quite As Hilarious

The only major flaw i found with Ted 2 is that it's just not as funny or energetic as the first one, the original Ted delivered nonstop, dumb, stupid comedy that really worked, it had me dying of laughter and not wanting the movie to end, that's not to say Ted 2 isn't funny, it definitely has its moments, but overall, it doesn't land as many jokes, and the humor isn't as consistent.

When compared to the first one top-tier level of simple, stupid, hilarious plot, again compare to the first one, it's far from that, but i still found the story in Ted 2 followable and decently enjoyable, i also appreciate that the sequel didn't just rehash the original, instead, it tried to find a reasonable continuation of the story, and in that regard, it mostly succeeds.

Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane (Ted) chemistry is still strong, and Amanda Seyfried is a fun and welcome addition to the cast, even though the jokes don't always land this time, the cast brings enough charm and energy to keep things entertaining, overall, Ted 2 might not be as laugh-out-loud funny as the first, but it's still a watchable and enjoyable follow-up.

  • Emotional and Captivating, Mumu Delivers with Heart

    8.5/10

Mumu is emotionally charming, heartwarming, and deeply captivating, Lay Zhang and the young actress playing Mumu deliver excellent performances, as does the rest of the cast, some of Sha Mo's direction truly shines, with several beautifully composed shots.

Storywise, Mumu isn't just another predictable tearjerker, yes, the premise of a deaf father and his adorable daughter might suggest an emotional ride, but the film goes beyond that, it adds genuine heart, creative storytelling, and well-crafted conflicts that enrich the bond between the two main characters, the writing is thoughtful, and the performances are sincere and compelling.

Mumu is a sweet, touching film with emotional depth, a solid plot, and great acting, it's worth the watch, i absolutely love it.
