Road House
(2024)

Sometimes fun, sometimes annoying, overall messy
Well this was... strange. First act was quite all right, fun, pretty decent acting, Jake great as always. Then Billy Magnussen came and the acting level dropped and it became somewhat boring. But what kicked this movie in the balls was without any doubt Conor McGregor who's "acting" choices made me so angry I started to hate the movie. How someone thought casting this idiot was a good idea is beyond my understanding. It felt like casting a monkey in a James Dean movie. But even if there was someone capable instead of him there is so many questions in my head. Why make a remake of an average 90s movie? Why to spend so much money on it? Why Jake said yes to it? What the hell was the camera doing during the fight scenes? None of this makes sense to me. If you said this was made by the mob to launder 85 million USD I would believe it.

Irish Wish
(2024)

Uuuugh.. Booooriiiiing and soooo stupid
I mean why?! Why bother?? This is so dull and pointless piece of garbage you could ever see. Only thing worth not throwing acid in your eyes are the locations (there are all together maybe three of them..?) but even these are too coloured and glittered it makes you uncomfortable. Let's not even waste time talking about acting. There is none. The one person who doesn't deserve punch in the face is Jane Seymour so they had her alone out of the cast and made her do... mmm... Irish accent??? Who the fudge knows. The plot is as original as Marvel sequel and so unpredictable as a hangover after 35 Guinesses. The only funny thing about this tragedy is watching Lindsay trying to make expressions with motionless plastic face.

American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders
(2024)

A bit different than other true crime stories
After watching this I am still not sure.. Mostly about.. well.. anything. This is too big of a story. So big it makes you wonder if it is even possible but at the same time it somehow feels very possible and almost common. A conspiracy so wild and wide it is almost infinite. But what makes it different is the point of view. In this documentary you are part of the crew trying to decipher it all as well as a witness of an obsession that can possess you if you get to deep. If there is a mystery so profound including so many parts and questions it might never stop and it might just take you down with it. For more reasons.

The Rookie
(2018)

Started okay, but the level of cringiness groes drasticly fast
This is no art in this for sure, not much original stuff, writing is just meh, nothing to keep you excited that much but it sort of felt good and had okay moments. Something to have as a background while you do dishes or something... But as the show goes on it just gets so cringy and filled with clichés. Line after line makes my eyes roll and every story is so predictible. All the cops are just Jessica Fletchering through L. A. bumping into crime every day on and off duty. Solving murders in minutes, getting shot at few times a day with no conequences. It just gets worse with time and I am only on season 2. I don't think I will be able to go through it until the end. Shame...

The Rookie: The Dark Side
(2019)
Episode 10, Season 2

Exclusively huge bag full of clichés
Wow... Worst episode yet. Each time there was some kind of revelation I had to roll my eyes. Everything you can think off in a serial killer episode of a procedural but in such huge amount of improbability at the same time. Not much of it makes sense and the acting doesn't help for sure. And to help that the writers had this awesome idea. Let's take a Hanibal Lecter and make him a nice and kinda hot lady! Oooooo! Spicy! And then use the ever unused lines such as: "she's been a step ahead of us the whole time" or "don't let her get inside your head" 😂 Oh boy.. For real? Come on Rookie... You can do better than that!

The Killer
(2023)

The movie isn't bad just a little flat
Obviously shot brilliantly, acted minimalisticaly, location great but... The screenplay itself is rather dull and unimaginative, full of predictables and most importantly creating no chara ters at all. You can not say anything about almost anyone in the movie except the way they look. And then there is the storyline itself. If there even is any. But ok, some kind of something happens but it is so predictable, emotionless and almost pointless. All in all The Killer is a kind of movie I imagine a top data analyst or accountant would make. It is very exact and correct in details but missing feelings and empathy for anyone or anything.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Funny Valentine
(2013)
Episode 16, Season 14

Stupid and predictable
This was such a cliché from the get go to the last scene. Everything so black and white, so dull and predictable. Why even bother with this if no character has any value or depth? The stardom felt unreal, the relationships felt unreal and the final situation felt so pushed and against logic yet so damn obvious it just annoyed the living soul out of me. Ice-T fist bumping with a stranger because what? Because they met on a show once. Why? Why put these pointless details and take all the emptions out of the story. In the end I was so annoyed by the victim I was just praying for itall to end. Jeez Luiz.

Archive
(2020)

Decent idea but extremely looooong and boooring...
This could have been made as a 20 minute tv episode without any problem. How many shots of the so called Japanese forest do you need? Well the answer of this movie is billion. How many pointless flashbacks? Similar amount. One location and another billion shots of that. Overall the logic of the whole film is debatable but it makes at least some sense and satisfies a little bit. But why make the setup this way is still a question I can not find an answer to. Incredibly low budget, dull soundtrack, average acting and so many pointless moments that really gave no value or amusement. Rather disappointing.

FUBAR
(2023)

It is cringy... But what makes it terrible is the acting
The script is not great and dialogues are rather unnatural, pretty cringy and has this old man vibe. Old man that tries to be cool vibe. The story is so dull and cliche... But what is really heavy is the acting and characters dynamic. The whole show feels like each scene was done in one shot and the lead of it all is Fortune Feimster who shows that acting is a really hard job. Watching her spit the lines with as much flexibility as a piece of wood is too painful for me. Arnold is as stiff as always but Fortune makes him look like a veteran balet dancer. I don't think I will be able to watch the whole thing. What a shame.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Double Strands
(2011)
Episode 4, Season 13

I love this show but how stupid are the cops?!
Each episode these cops treat every potential suspect as a perp... in Guantanamo. The yelling, the pushing on the wall, the threats. Ok, people love drama. The fact that no interogation was ever done this way is secondary. The fact that non of these cops can control their emotions is ridiculous. But this time? The stupidity knows no bounds. The word twins came to my mind like 5 minutes into the lock up of the suspect. I know that twins don't in reality have the same DNA but I've seen this mistake in some movie before and the SVU writers aren't obviously the brightest so... But these "elite" cops? Well non of them thought of twins at all. Non of them was curious about the tattoo or that the suspect was adopted. Just as dumb as a box of rocks. Stabler had a real monkey brains but the rest isn't far from that. I really miss Robert Goren and the whole L&O Criminal Intent gang. Those guys had some intelligence. SVU? Just look at the dull empty face of Ice-T and you'll know the answer.

John Mulaney: Baby J
(2023)

Is this Mulaney's best show so far?
Quick answer? Yes. In my opinion it is. I have always been a fan of Mulaney's and he is a master speaker without a doubt. And that still stands. He is very smart and knows how to sell it. But what has changed? Well.. He did. There is no more jumping arround, no more dancing, yelling.. It is not like I didn't like that kind of delivery but this John Mulaney just feels more real. He was blown by the wind and a bit waethered. Something huge happened and changed the way he acts and Mulaney feels much more open and truthfull. And that to me is what stand up is about a lot. As a person who had some rough years fighting addiction, anxiety or depression I really can relate to the new Mulaney much more and it puts him in a different angle for me. Now I feel like I get him. Just like that watch shop in New York.

I Am Wrath
(2016)

Boooooriiiiing
Except for Travolta's ridiculous wig there is really nothing to see here. The script is so terribly dull and cliché it hurts. Why did anyone have any need to make this movie? Surprisingly one thing that isn't the worst is the acting. But who really comes up with these revenge movies all the time? They are all the same and so pathetic and boring. Once Chris Meloni showed up it got a bit better but not enough to save it all. Finding out that Nick Cage actually turned this role down says a hell lot. And nothing good. Travolta needs to get more risky and get out of these productions just like Cage did past few years. But man.. The wig...?! That is just bonkers.

The Rehearsal
(2022)

Absolute masterpiece
After Nathan for you I had this feeling that Nathan Fielder is a genius that knows no bounds. After watching The Rehearsal I am completely mesmerized. Even nowadays when briliant TV shows is not something that rare you can hardly imagine anything so unique and amazing as is this one. Nathan Fielder created his own fake universe and made it look so real that it gave me goosebumps. His amazing talent to make it look like he is improvasing not only during scenes but with the whole concept of this is unbelievable. The attention to detail, his ideas of scenes, his casting.. Everything is so full of awe and emotion I am shocked.

Louis C.K.: Back to the Garden
(2023)

Louie is the GOAT
Great show. I have loved him from the first time I saw his stuff and will love him forever... whatever happened. Louie gets us and knows what we think about and what we want to say but most of us don't have the balls to do so. Well he does and yet for those who know his stuff and have seen it all (like me) he can still surprise you after so many years. Is he such a poet as Chappelle? Probably not. Is he as edgy as Jeselnik or Jimmy Carr? No. But what he is for sure is real and natural and very very funny. To me this might be one of the best specials he had done but most of all he never lets down and if this is the first Louis CK show you have ever seen and liked it you are in for many hours of greatness. Lucky you.

Ted Lasso
(2020)

Shockingly dull work place sitcom
I love Sudeikis, football, comedy, England... I tried so hard to love it. But it is so basic and dull afort to be touchy and funny that it just shocks me how popular and well rated this is. The writing is so unoriginal and cringy, no original character, dumb stories, all so bleak. Ted Lasso knows nothing about football and he doesn't really care that much. He just tells everyone to be part of the team and run more and boom, it all works like charm. His "speech" about training when one of the players doesn't want to participate? The worst monologue I have ever heard in my life! Speech with 5 words circling for a two minutes?? A monkey would have made more impact. Awful... I'm not even gonna get through the whole stupid view on how football premier league club works and that the staff has about 6 people. What?? Overall simply abysmal.

1899
(2022)

Purposeless mystery
It looks like an old-timey mystery with some twists.. but.. those twists are not meaning much and if you are a fan of logic don't even bother to try finding one. Acting is nice, locations well done but that is where the solid production ends and after that there is just this neverending attempt to make the viewer confused. For sure I was confused but also expecting some sense. I mean even the tv show Lost bothered to explain the madness but 1898 just lets you being interested and waiting for solution. It does bring answers to some questions but once it ends and you think about what you have just seen you get to a conclusion that all of it is just pointless.

The Wonder
(2022)

Minimalistic beauty
I know about Florence Pugh for a long time, have seen videos, interviews but not a whole movie. I was waiting so long for no real reason and once I saw the trailer for The Wonder I was convinced it's time. And although I am not much of a fan of historical movies the atmosphere of this one felt somehow different. And it surely was. From the first minute I was almost mesmerized by the heaviness and mystery this film had in the most minimalistic ways. Great scenery, static camera, hard wheather, dark times. Not too much of conversation but enough of performance that you somehow felt the pressure, the anxiety and the mystery that by itself sounded so strangely but the film made you take it very seriously even before you knew what really was happening and why. In the end you will find out this film is about many things and not just the wonder itself and that it has a lot to say even without than many words. Great experience.

Neal Brennan: Blocks
(2022)

I am liberal and something's wrong with me
... should be the title of this show, because you hear both facts at least once a minute. Neal seems tired and a little bored like he had to do this show but didn't really want to learn the sript so you see a lot of strange edits and him looking at his memory blocks just being annoyed. The topics are deeply unoriginal, outdated and lacking any surprising view or idea. He still shows you he is smart and knows when to take a pause or get a little physical but there is just something missing. I really loved his previous shows for the depth and cockyness but now all that seems to have left is his depression which I understang and feel for him but also something that blocks the Blocks from being more fun.

Luckiest Girl Alive
(2022)

Should have been about hour shorter
The first hour was really hard to bear for me.. A lot of stiff looks, talks about nothing, dull atmosphere, average acting, so many monologues... Then it gets some rhytm and energy and it seems like some interesting ending might be coming. But after few minutes of hope it just gets back to the blandness and after some sort of finale I looked at the timeline and 30 minutes were still left. Oh boy... Last part is really pointless and the real ending is just so naive and awkward it just makes you wonder what was the point of this movie? Why is the soundtrack so random? What is it about and why do I feel so tired now?

Bo Burnham: Make Happy
(2016)

One man creates a dream fantasy
I love stand up comedy a lot. I knew about Bo but don't really know for what reason I never watched any of his material. And then for whatever reason again I suddenly pressed play on this... From the first minute I felt this will be something unique. And it truly was. Incredible performance of one very young man alone on empty stage who can make you feel like you are watching an incredible piece of art created and performed by so many talented people. At the end of this spectacle filled with surprise, cleverness, joy, laughter, amazing eclectic musical numbers, fabulous lighting effects I had a moment where I truly sadly cried and at the same time was laughing out loud.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
(1999)

Great stories, heavy atmosphere a wonderful Mariska Hargitay
One of my favourite show of all times was Law and Order: Criminal Intent. It was so smart, heavy and emtional with incredible main character by Vincent D'Onofrio, onerous Mike Post's soundtrack and new unusually disturbed psychos in each episode. But since that I had such a hard time finding something similar.. And then one day I saw random episode of SVU from like 21st season and I was sure. This is it! How was I so dumb and never tried SVU before? It fills all my needs and even adds something more. And that is Mariska Hargitay. I think the whole cast is great but her incredibly humane performances touch me each and every time and bring new dimension to the Dick Wolf model I was so into before. No wonder why this is the longest running drama on american tv so far.

Christina P.: Mom Genes
(2022)

Well I didn't expect much and got a lot!
Very well built, solid jokes, not the most original in the topic way but relatable enough even for a dumb dude. I had some lol moments for sure, even some emotional ones and never got bored. Over all very cool stuff, slick stuff, neat stuff.

The Adam Project
(2022)

Umm.. Meh..
Boring... Then too much cgi, too much green screen, too many sassy jokes. Not enough character development, no originality, not much sense. But the worst of it all is the fake Catherine Keener. I mean what the hell was that?? Ummm... No thank you!

Tokarev
(2014)

Shallow and senseless
It's so generic and with no atmosphere, I really don't understand why did they make this movie. Cage seems to be bored from the get-go till the end and it is very hard not to feel same way. Then there is Peter Stormare awfully playing irish mobster, some stereotypical russian bad guys, wife who is step mother for no reason, nonsensical ending and a script so cheesy only Steven Seagal would be happy with it. I love Nick but this was really dissapointing.

Vengeance: A Love Story
(2017)

Good movie ruined by editing and title
First of all great performnce from Talitha Bateman but its a shame that Nick is almost invisible. The character development or chemistry isn't deep enough and the first part is too long while the second part is too short. Camera is ok, but the editing is really ruining the movie and makes it look rather pointless. There are some strong emotional scenes though and overall it kept me interested till the end. Not bad, not great.
