Scarface (1983) is one of the most iconic and greatest gangster movies in the history of cinema, but I had never watched the movie until this review and it was absolutely phenomenal.
Positives for Scarface (1983): Al Pacino gives it his all as the main character of Tony Montana and he is the reason to watch this movie. From the moment he shows up on screen, you know this guy means business. Throughout the entire movie, you slowly start to see this character grow into the baddest dude and top drug lord in Miami. The other characters are fun and they have great interactions with Tony Montana. The dialogue from Tony Montana is so deliciously iconic and quotable that people are still quoting the movie to this day. And finally, the final act of this movie is very over the top gory and entertaining with Tony Montana meeting his end after talking so much about how unstoppable he was.
Overall, Scarface (1983) is one of the greatest and most iconic movies in the history of cinema and it is one of my favorite movies of all time.

The Irishman (2019) is another gangster movie from the legendary Martin Scorsese and it is yet another cinematic masterpiece from this man.
Positives for The Irishman (2019): Martin Scorsese does what he does best and give us an epic gangster movie with all of his classic traits as a filmmaker. This is by far the most epic gangster movie Martin Scorsese has given us and he went for broke with this movie. This movie takes its time with telling its story and this movie is 209 minutes long and it earns every single minute of that runtime. The acting from the cast is as always phenomenal including Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Stephen Graham and Bobby Cannavale. I was surprisingly impressed with how good the de-aging CGI effects were in this movie and that is something that you can't say for a lot of movie that do this effect. The dialogue and character interactions are awesome like in every Martin Scorsese movie. And finally, the third act of this movie was very satisfying.
Overall, The Irishman (2019) is a masterclass of the gangster movie genre, it is one of the best Martin Scorsese and it is one of the best movies from Netflix.

Andor (2022-2025) was the Star Wars show that literally no one was asking for because we all know what happens to Cassian Andor at the end of Rogue One (2016). However, the Star Wars fan in me decided to throw caution to the wind and give this show a chance and I loved the first season. Then, we got the second and final season this year and I can say that this show is the best Star Wars from Disney since Rogue One (2016).
Positives for Andor (2022-2025): This show did the one thing that we Star Wars fan have been begging from Disney which is give us something different aside from the Lightsaber fights and good guy vs. Bad guy stuff. This show takes a look at how the Galactic Empire works and how the consequences to their actions have effected everyday citizens like Cassian Andor before he joined the Rebellion. The show does an excellent job at getting its messages without preaching to its audience and treats them as intelligent beings. There is so much about this show that it is one of those shows that needs to be seen and experienced by people. If I'm being honestly this isn't just a good Star Wars show that makes Rogue One (2016) even better, this is just a great show in general. The cast does a phenomenal job with their performances particularly Diego Luna and Stellan Skarsgard. Between these two seasons of television, Season 2 is the easily best season as well as one of the best seasons in television history. Everything in Season 2 is god-tier Star Wars especially in episodes 7-12. And finally, the final shot of this show was the perfect way to close out the show especially with what we need from Rogue One (2016).
Overall, Andor (2022-2025) is peak Star Wars from Disney, it is definitely the best Disney+ show and more importantly this show reminded me why I am a Star Wars fan.
