Reviews

1917
(2019)

Was really good
Can't say anything bad about it, maybe have a little too much away in the trailers but what a film.

Need for Speed
(2014)

Part 2?
Good film, hope there's a second one as it could be carried on quite well and Aaron plays his part well

Breaking Bad
(2008)

Not for me
Really was boring, I think this will get a lot of dislikes but that's what I'm going for with this one.

It's just so overrated in my opinion that I can't actually believe it became so popular.

Peaky Blinders
(2013)

Series 5
A lot of mixed reviews but I can't really understand it. Acting as though you didn't know what the Peaky blinders are about.

It's a gang of MEN in an era when MEN ruled supreme and the women play their personal assistants. It's like watching a medieval drama and wondering why the women don't tell the man to get in the kitchen and look after the kids whilst mother goes to fight a battle.

It's a loosely based history show. It shows you what it was like for women, foreign people and gay people in these times. It's history for a good reason. We grew up and woke up. But criticism against them for being accurate to the time in which it is set is a bit unfair.

Yes they do a lot of fighting and bloodshed but that was what gangs were like and still are today. They fight over pathetic reasons for money, power and fame.

The series does portray some of the women as strong such as polly who is practically the backbone of the shelby's and recently Arthur's wife has been making a stand for herself as during this time, women wanted more equality and started making the change to what we experience today.

In my opinion Series 5 has been excellent up to now. The fact there's multiple issues keeps it interesting and the switch up is needed as they still have a few more seasons to go until the WW2 alarm sounds.

By the end of series 5 it's inevitable that the Billie boys will be dead, the politician forcing tommy into to join him will die and michaels wife will be uncovered (if the rumours are correct)

The Gadget Show
(2004)

Good show
How can a show that's been around for so long have such little attention?

I personally really enjoy the show

Death on the Tyne
(2018)

Enjoy it for what it is
It's more of a laugh than it is great screenplay. Don't take it too seriously

Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids
(2000)

I agree to other reviews
This show gives kids nightmares, any good parent wouldn't let their child watch it.

It's a bit sick (not in a good 'sick' way) that we're encouraging kids to become weird and have warped minds.

It's like you're building the foundations of a creep.

The show needs banning

Kingsman: The Golden Circle
(2017)

Not as good as the first
Enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as the first one.

Kingsman: The Secret Service
(2014)

Second only to bond
I'm sure a lot will disagree but only bond films can beat this. Traditionally British however kingsman is better in some aspects as it shows what a 'real' Englishman is like.

If they ruin 007 when Craig leaves, it will become my favourite

This Country
(2017)

So underrated
How can something this good be so unheard of?

Wish I'd watched it sooner

Benidorm
(2007)

Brilliant
So it's a really good show that is long running for a reason however the new cast aren't as good as the originals.

Miss the old family and tiger.

A Confession
(2019)

Good storyline but
The cameraman is acting like he's had 5 cups of coffee and a full 4 pack of red bull.

Sad that such a simple mistake can ruin such a good series with plenty of potential

Lethal Weapon
(2016)

What on earth?
Up until writing clayne out it was 10/10.

Fox made the wrong decision letting him go. Riggs wrote most of the show, his acting was amazing and murtaugh was an add on.

And then murtaugh leaves anyway so he killed a good show.

Riggs just isn't replaceable in my opinion.

Judge Romesh
(2018)

Hilarious
So when you're bored of a certain judge pin head, you come and watch this and it's just too funny.

Bailiff Tom is the typical gentle giant kind of guy and Romesh makes him do what he wants as if he's a dog.

The best episode was when his mum and wife both starred in the show and made him look a right mug.

Travel Man: 48 Hours in...
(2015)

10x better than the typical travel show
No offence to people who make travel shows such as Martin Clunes (and a few others) but they're boring.

However Richard puts a new spin on it, I actually hate travel shows yet he's managed to make me watch almost every episode. The man is comedy genius.

The odd clothing, the hair, the phrases he comes out with. It all comes together to make a brilliant tv show.

And for those who get bored of him, he has a celebrity guest each trip to keep it fresh. (And they're not washed up has beens either)

The Hatton Garden Job
(2017)

Fulfills it's purpose
You can't compare something like this to a multi million pound film however at face value it is something brilliant.

I personally enjoyed it.

Hot Fuzz
(2007)

Unpopular opinion
Didn't really enjoy it myself, kept losing interest but kept pushing through since it's supposed to be a very good film.

Don't know if I missed the point of it but it just wasn't my thing

Attack the Block
(2011)

Lost me a couple of times
The parts I could understand were actually quite good but sometimes the story didn't add up for me.

The smashing up of hi hats bmw was definitely the best part

Black Sails
(2014)

A hidden treasure
Excuse my poor quality pun however it really is a hidden gem that was lurking in prime and I watched it out of complete boredom.

And I was shocked as to how good it was.

A strong plot with an excellent cast. I think it's better because there isn't an A list celebrity taking the glory.

DO NOT WATCH WITH CHILDREN!!!

Lots of nude scenes

Trollied
(2011)

8 based on the first few series
It was amazing and the first 3/4 were really enjoyable however after Leighton left and it generally got stale, it became more of a 5/10.

Sad that they lost such a great thing. Watched all of them but was left a bit disappointed towards the end

Evan Almighty
(2007)

Average
Average movie but still good enough to just sit back and enjoy. Watched it a few times and it's still decent by today's standards

KSI vs. Logan Paul Live at the Manchester Arena
(2018)

Scripted?
A draw after all the build up seems a bit far fetched, maybe just a way to make more money.

Once again, Ksi has a few good hits and the training he's put in showed.

KSI vs. Weller Live at the Copper Box Arena
(2018)

All wrong
First off, I like joe and jj however all the beef over mental health was so far out of line. Whether it was real or scripted is irrelevant.

The fight itself was good and jj really showed some decent skill.

The Grand Tour
(2016)

A good substitute
Sad that original top gear is gone however this is a very good quality show and it's set for a season of specials so I'm hopeful

Top Gear
(2002)

Bring me the haters
So for a start, the show was amazing with the original 3 and when they left, Chris and Matt ruined it however I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as people are saying.

Paddy and freddy make it watchable and lighthearted fun. The short one is a bit boring but the other two make up for it.

I'm aware a lot of you disagree but have a day off from complaining, the grand tour is also on so now there's two car shows to watch.
