I seriously thought I was watching an episode of Goosebumps or Are you afraid of the dark on Nickelodeon... The acting... was whatever... but the plot was my god. And then, it kept getting worse if that was possible. I lost it when the boyfriend's alien feet(???) plopped up out of nowhere and then there was just very lazy editing of parts they didn't want to explain or show in detail. I just kept watching because I wanted to see what this director was thinking and what the end game was. Also... what a disaster of a mother... and I agree with others in saying the daughter looked way too old to play the part.

Normally, these kind of movies are a guilty pleasure for me but my god... the lead actress was horrible. The terrible accent.. excruciating acting... don't waste your time.

I didn't know what the expect but man... they did get weird. I was expecting Fargo vibes but this took a whole different turn. The dark comedy is done well I must say.
