Copie conforme
(2010)

Tedious
A couple arguing and not getting anywhere. For 2 hours. Without revealing particularly interesting insights. Rather a lot of cliches. In which case : Haven't we got enough at home already?

I'm Thinking of Ending Things
(2020)

All over the place.
Pretentious garbage. Bad cinema. I tried hard and but ended up having to fast forward out of total boredom. Gloom for the sake of gloom. I have been ad displeased with a movie For quite some time.

I would be embarrassed to recommend this.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure
(2018)

you have got to be kidding
I hesitated to write a review for this pathetic excuse of a movie because i had wasted enough painful time watching it. The only reasons i did was anger and altruism. I thought if I could prevent a single soul from not suffering it could be worth taking the 3 minutes writing this. I hope for the reader it worked. Good luck.

The Lincoln Lawyer
(2011)

Cliches Cringe
I kid d you not I had actual goosebumps of cringe there were so many ridiculous cliches in this awful adaptation. the cool black dude chauffeur with the cool hat who tells the lawyer 'you would have doen all right in the streets'), the ex wife whose still in love with the Cad lawyer. The best friend who gets killed on the job. But that just for the scenes. the directing is atrocious an we even have a mega back and forth zoom moment like an low budget italian TV 70s movie. the poor acting of many is so beyond wooden you'd think the director hired his college mates. and the dialogues contains pieces like 'so whachagonnadoo, mike?'. absolutely dreadful. Matt MC's and Marisa Tomei's likability cant save this film, nor can William Macy's ever good acting. And how the hell can can Ryan Philippe get any work these days? Pee-wee herman is a more believable actor. Yhemvioe is so bad hit actually made me a bit angry. One you should probably should have pressed the stop button for and regret you didn't for the rest of the day.

Cloud Atlas
(2012)

What a dog's breakfast of a movie
I am angry at myself for not having turned it off earlier. Absolute waste of my time. It's so bad i don't know where to start.

I think it only comes second to Lynch's Inland Empire. Worst film I have seen in years. Everything about it is bad except the costumes, the photography and the music. And I mean EVERYTHING

The scenario: going nowhere, all over the place, clichés after clichés The editing: cuts over cuts with no purpose leading to shorter cuts supposedly leading us somewhere but doesn't. The terrible acting, except hanks and berry but in such a context they can't save anything The dialogues, coming straight out of the worst 25 year old yoga 'teachers' who discovered himself a vocation after his first holiday in India

Absolutely dreadful.

You ve been warned.

Honesty send you time elsewhere, any where else. Clean you house, polish your shoes, do your tax return (ok not that). it's less boring.

Soup for One
(1982)

One of the rare non-musical movies worth watching for its soundtrack only!
We knew about Lalo Schiffrin, burt bacharach, Michel legrand, john barry or Laurie johnson et al ... but did you know that super producers/Composers Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards (aka CHIC) did most of the score of this movie? Today this is highly sought after rare groove (track Soup for One, which also served as a sample for the planetary hit Lady" by Modjo). Evertyhting that BE and NR touched turned into music gold at this time... Makes this average movie actually enjoyable! without this outstanding score I doubt this movie would have ever got that recall. The music clearly makes it twice better. Interestingly enough, BE and NR did not venture too heavily in film production despite their very eclectic approach to music (which made them what they became, later, producing the likes of Madonna or David Bowie, and so many more). That's why this score is so particular. I've also heard that Nile rodgers has produced a track for the last X-men : the last Stand (2006), from his director friend Brett Ratner. this track is being extremely warmly received in the club scene and is supposed to be on the next upcoming Chic album. Can't wait to put my hands on that one.
