Randi was horrible in this episode. When the owner of a business (your boss) leaves you in charge, you don't literally change the whole business model while the boss is away. Randi owed Kat an apology, but no she thinks she's always right. She would have been fired if they weren't friends.
Also I'm tired of Kat's mother, Sheila always putting Kat down. The character is not funny or likeable at all. I hope the writing improves and they actually keep the cats around. The cat cafe made the show different. Nothing really funny in this episode. I'm really hoping it's not like this the whole season.

I like the overall intention of the short, a senior who lost his wife meets somebody younger that opens his eyes to possibly getting back out there. But, the downfall is the writing of the child character and I would say he was miscast. In the short it states he's 8 and 3 quarters and they have him acting and talking over the man, as if the child's 5 years old. I also found it odd the way they made the 8 year old so obsessed with girls (one example being the end where he went to try to pick up a teenage girl). It has a sweet ending for the older man though.
