This movie is honestly good. The plot reminds me of Before sunrise but everything else is just amazing by itself.Let's start with the movie's strongest point: music. The soundtracks are pretty much the characters' thoughts and emotions being sung out loud. Their appearances throughout the movie are not annoying at all.Together with the script, they are able to tell the story of two young people in Saigon perfectly. Another great point of this movie is the script. It is simple yet enough. The conversations are well written. They don't feel awkward,they are witty and yet they don't lack the depth in it. This, along with their acting skill, helps a lot with the chemistry between the leading actor and actress. Other than that, film editing is a plus point to this movie. I really like the part where they add some fun illustrations to spice things up. They absolutely help telling the story better and they also make the movie look like a music video. And finally, this movie perfectly captures the vibe of its settings,Saigon.Throughout the movie, you can discover the beauty Saigon little by little. The cafes, the restaurant, the church and the streets. Everything just so youthful, bustling and somewhat romantic. In conclusion, this movie is enjoyable and I have no complaint about it. After watching it, I deeply regret not watching this in the theater. It's such a pity that this was not a box office hit due to the promotion strategy.

Honestly, I didn't expect much when I watched the trailer. To me, it's just another cringeworthy series about a loser/weird/socially awkward teenager.However,I still give it a go just to make sure I didn't judge it too quickly.There are 7 episodes, each one is about 20 minutes long, very short but they didn't make good use of it.The way of storytelling is lengthy and gets nowhere. They wasted about two episodes in beating around the bush.The characters, apart from Sydney and Stanley, are somehow cliche , stereotyped and lack of depth. In my opinion, Bradley and Jenny is even worse since they are exaggerated. My favorite character must be Stanley but sadly, they haven't dug deep enough into him (maybe they're saving him for the next season). Moreover, I find the way the protagonist talks and some conversations in this series a bit cringeworthy and forcefullyawkward. Sometimes I feel like they are trying to make a joke but it's just not funny. In addition, the climaxes in this show are not there yet, they're just not that tense. In conclusion, I think I've wasted the whole evening watching this. The trailer had wrapped up the whole series pretty well. In my opinion, this whole season is just the introduction to the next one. On the bright side, this show has some potential but they have to change a lot to make it big.
