I thought this was very very powerful and exceptionally well done. The character development was incredible, especially considering the backstory for each person was virtually nonexistent. You immediately loved Geoff and Maryanne. They were good people trying hard to do what was right and questions the ethical implications as much as possible and as it ended, the jury was still out for both of them.

The story itself is an important and poignant piece of history, this gave it a very unique lens ( pun intended ) and a chance to explore the ethics of reporting and journalism as a whole.

I think the highlight of this film for me was the feeling of tension you could sense even many years later about the respiring and television side of this. The crisis itself is reason enough to feel pressure and sadness and grief and stress, what this film added was the very real element of quick decision making, pressure on truth and money, and a debate on ethics and deadlines.

Worthwhile and well done - a little confusing in parts remembering who is who based on name and which job they have etc but really quality overall.

I am not a LOTR die hard - I like the movies and have read the books, but far from an expert or a fanatic. I like a good anime and have seen many, but again not a true fan.

I can see how if you feel into one of the above camps firmly( and for sure if you fell into both) this could be something you LOVED or something you despised.

To me looking at it as a one off, isolated story with ties to things I have heard and seen I actually felt made the whole experience quite enjoyable. The soundtrack was awesome and character development was fantastic, the story kept you in and the animation was incredible, it was a fusion of these two worlds in a really cool way.

My only complaint was the middle section does start to feel very very very long - but overall enjoyable and quality and different and worth the watch.

Depending how far you are willing to take it metaphorically it could have been really good. I personally do not have the desire or motivation to do so on this one - so on a surface level - it was creepy , the filming was quality and the main actress was absolutely fantastic - so impressed with her.

I was interested and drawn in and impressed by the aesthetics, especially in the flashbacks . The character development held up and honestly the most tense part of the movie was the very clear anxiety that Lee has the entire film and total inability to connect with others.

I don't love the satan genre , it often feels cheap . This one did not feel cheap but instead the literal making a deal with the devil somehow made mental health , and the metaphor of making a deal with the devil feel lesser and in the real world those are the things that are scary.

It's creepy though , very dark and well done enough to make it worth your while if you like the genre .
