Nathalie après l'amour
(1970)

European Art Film turned Drive-In Scare Film
I have a very scratched copy of this film from 1972 with a tacked-on opening warning viewers of the dangers of promiscuity and venereal diseases, and added scary documentary on syphilis.

Though slow-paced at times, the late-60s atmosphere is exciting and Nathalie Nesle is charming and lovely. She goes out behind her boyfriend's back, watches a hipster artist, Stephan, paint daisies on a beautiful blonde, after which he gives her a tacky painting of himself. In no time she goes to his studio, models for him, and ends up sleeping with him. This is where a doctor talking about the dangers of VD is spliced in. Ten minutes later, it's back to the movie. :) SPOILER :) In the end, she leaves the blase Stephan, and goes back to

Maurice, whom she really loves. One of those lost films.

Something Weird Video put it out in the early 90s, but it's long out-of-print now. Typical European coming-of-age trash. *** out of *****

Forbidden Bodies
(1986)

Classic Mid-Eighties!
If you're going to watch good 80's hardcore, this is it. Candy Evans "delivers" the performance of a lifetime! It's not often you get to see a performer of her caliber...drinking whisky and even calling for it ("My drink! My drink!"). The bizarre yet seductive Elle Rio speaks about ten words of english and absolutely "nails" her scene with Ron Jeremy and, um, the other one. Rudolf Eckmann and Jack Baker act as filler and are hysterical. Sitting at a table in what's supposed to be a bar, Eckmann rambles about "lost dreams" and "endless passion" while Baker calls him "Sponge". Produced by Gregory Dark. Find it today!

Love Toy
(1971)

Wishman at her best! Role-playing never looked so fun!
This is a classic from one of the greatest softcore directors ever, Doris Wishman (directing under the name "Louis Silverman"). This one has it all! Gambling, roll-playing, bondage, spanking, playing 'horsie", lesbianism, bondage, a 3-way, great early 70's decor, voyeurism and a dollop of incest make this an unforgettable film.

Basically, poor early 20's "teen" Chris' father loses her in a card game, dooming her to be perv Alex and his oddly speechless wife's plaything. While Alex makes Chris play the role of every person or animal that ever let him down (mom, cat, horse, etc), his wife ties Chris' father (sicko Larry Hunter) to a chair and puts cigarettes out in his face!

This obviously isn't for everyone, but if you want to see a flick that makes you feel like you need a shower (or maybe a confessional), this is it, baby! RECOMMENDED. In fact, you're missing out if you don't see all of the late, great Doris Wishman's films.

Pray TV
(1980)

This is a remarkable piece of trash.
Imagine if you will... Dabney Coleman saves a floundering TV station (KRUD) by adding Christian themes to all of the same idiotic programming and changing the station's name to KGOD.

Never mind firing the guy with the ventriloquist dummy named `Woody', and they guy with beer in his coffee mug, and the guy sleeping behind the studio camera... Brilliant! We get to see Marcia Wallace host a cooking show in fake-Spanish (add `o' to the end of each word) with sign-language interpreter (???), a young Paul Reubens as a gay,chain-smoking exercise show host, stained glass set pieces that look like they were painted by the local middle-school, an Elvis impersonator with a cross-shaped guitar singing "You better not make fun of Jesus Christ', Coleman uttering the phrase `give away some of those crummy little Jap TV sets', Dr. John plays a revival, a nasal spray that fixes bad karma, and Devo. That's right, Devo (and not nearly enough of them) under the name `Dove'. Pray that you find this little gem. If you do, buy it, watch it 20 times, destroy it.

T-Bird Gang
(1959)

Fast car & teen gang "beat" classic!
John Brinkley & Tony Miller wrote & star in this tale of a high school student that goes undercover to bust a gang of twisted youths.

Watching these kids rob houses, even the rooms occupied with sleeping occupants, is simply delightful. These guys are slick! Big belly laughs at the similarities between some of these "sneaking" scenes and the dance in "Beat It".

Worth watching a couple of times. This film has recently been re-released on DVD & VHS.

The Loved One
(1965)

One of the strangest comedies ever!
This is a hard film to locate, but well worth the search! The all-star cast is amazing! It features Jonathan Winters in dual roles, Paul Williams as a child genius (he was 25), Liberace selling coffins, Rod Steiger as Mr. Joyboy singing the disturbing "Mama's little Joyboy want lobster for mom" song. The ultimate "60's sex comedy in a morgue"! If you see it, grap it.

Rollerbabies
(1976)

What a great idea!!
Alright. There is next to no plot. The premise is stupid. But this flick is a must see. It's a sex contest on roller skates. Nothing sums up the 70's quite like this one! Killer orals and bizarre "roller f******g" aplenty! Good luck finding it
