Jackass Forever
(2022)

Not the best entry.
Recycled bits and lots of dicks. Nothing really new just more of the same. I feel like some of the guys knew what was about to happen to them at times and they just played along. It had its moments but its not the same without the entire crew. They did put something in the end for Ryan which was cool. Overall though it was just ok.

Hellbender
(2021)

I really enjoyed the first half of the movie.
Unfortunately the 2nd half wasn't as good. I felt like the movie was building up to a bigger ending but it didn't deliver for me. It's definitely original though and worth checking out if you like movies about witchcraft.

Huang jia shi jie
(1985)

Really good action film!
Underrated movie 100%. Great fight scenes and display of martial arts. Cynthia kicks major ass in this one. I wish all of her movies were this good. I wanted more by the time it was over.

Trailer Park Boys
(2001)

Great show through the first 7 seasons.
Great comedy from Canada. The cast of characters is great and hilarious. Lots of funny moments and seasons. The show was funny but kind of tanked once Netflix brought it back. The movies are pretty good too.

Slice
(2018)

Ignore the negative reviews.
If you go into this expecting a serious movie you will be disappointed. This movie knows what it is and its a fun watch. I've watched it a few times and still get a kick out of it. Fun horror movie that doesn't take itself seriously.

The Green Knight
(2021)

I don't get all of these negative reviews.
If your a fan of fantasy movies with great cinematography this is a good one. Lots of magical element mixed in also. Overall it's more original than a lot of recent movies I've seen. The dialogue is a bit slow and at times there isn't much at all. But sit back and enjoy the journey. Ignore all of the negative reviews and make up your own opinion.

The Water Man
(2020)

Ignore the negative reviews.
This was a good movie with a good message. It's geared for a younger/family audience but that's not a bad thing. The movie has a point at the end of it and that's better than most movies these days. Worth watching in my opinion.

Yakuza to kazoku: The Family
(2020)

Really good movie!
Well written, acted, and directed. It's slow but the characters and story kept me interested throughout. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. This movie deserves a higher rating. The way it all wrapped up was harsh but perfect. Give this one a watch!

Possessor
(2020)

Definitely not horror. They shouldn't attach that label
This is a straight up sci-fi movie. I liked it but they mislabeled this movie. It's a slow burn 100%. Nothing about this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat but it's still a interesting watch.

Boys from County Hell
(2020)

Entertaining
I read about this one in Fangoria and decided to give it a shot. I'm not disappointed at all because I knew what to expect going into the movie. Low budget horror/comedy from Ireland. It had some funny moments along with some originality. I wish the horror aspect of the movie was a little stronger and got going a bit earlier but overall it was a fun watch. Worth checking out if you have Shudder.

Jakob's Wife
(2021)

Very disappointed in this.
I'm a lifelong horror fan and this was barely watchable. Barbara Crampton and the make up effects are the only things that made me finish it. Story was really weak and the movie is extremely slow. Not worth the rental fee. Wait until it's free. Sorry Barbara.

Ernest Scared Stupid
(1991)

This movie deserves a higher rating.
In my opinion this is the best of all the Ernest movies. I'm a huge Ernest fan and also a Halloween nerd. For nostalgia reasons this movie will never get old ( along with most of the other Ernest movies). The make-up effects are awesome and it has a funny storyline. RIP Jim.

Happy Happy Joy Joy: The Ren & Stimpy Story
(2020)

Great documentary but I never knew about the allegations.
It was really entertaining. I was a kid when the show came out and watched it religiously. It was cool getting the inside perspective on the show. Unfortunately it was new to me hearing about the abuse by John. It does take away from the nostalgia of the show for me because what he did was disturbing. Hearing him acknowledge what he did only made it worse.

Smoking
(2018)

Great series.
I really liked the characters and their relationships. Storyline was pretty gritty and keep a good pace throughout the show. From what I've read there isn't going to be a 2nd season. Too bad bad definitely worth checking out as they wrap up everything nicely.

The Fundamentals of Caring
(2016)

Wow.... I wasn't expecting that.
Great movie! I was really impressed with the cast. Well acted movie with a great story. I wasn't expecting much from Selena Gomez, but she did a great job. One of the best roles I've seen Paul Rudd in! Craig Roberts did an amazing job as well. The chemistry with all of the characters was there and it made you care about them. Great drama/comedy.

Wrong Turn
(2021)

Not good.
This felt like 2 movies in 1. I will keep it spoiler free but it reaches a point where it completely shifts directions. Not very entertaining and the end to put it plainly just sucked. Not worth the rental fee at all. BEWARE.

Under the Skin
(2013)

Really weird movie.....
I wanted to watch a sci-fi movie I had never seen before. I wasn't entertained at all during this movie. I was always waiting for something to happen and it never really developed. It was just a wierd Scarlett Johansson getting naked (only good part of the movie) and seducing odd locals. The movie just kind of ended without explaining much.

Saint Maud
(2019)

I've seen some bad reviews and some great reviews. Mine is in between.
This movie really sets a dark almost altered reality tone from the very beginning. After finishing the film I believe the movie is completely from Maud's perspective. Ultra religious and suffering from mental health issues at the same time created a strange atmosphere and build up to the climax. This is definitely an original movie.

Super Dark Times
(2017)

I really liked this movie up until the final act.
First off this is NOT a horror movie in any way. So I'm not sure why they have labeled it one. It's a dramatic thriller. The story was really good and I liked the era and setting it takes place in. But then towards the end it kind of loses me. It doesn't really wrap up anything with the individual characters and abruptly just ends. If there was some kind of a hidden meaning in there I didn't see it. Good movie but the ending just leaves you thinking but not in a good way.

Seuwiteuhom
(2020)

This show doesn't make any sense at all
The story is all over the place. I don't see how this show is getting such good reviews. I really wanted to like it but gave up after 5 episodes. Has some pretty cool visual effects but that's about it.

The Rental
(2020)

I checked this out after reading about it in Fangoria.
I would of rated this movie higher if it didn't kind of fizzle out in the last 20 min or so. I still really liked it though. Franco did a good job as a first time director. I didn't lose interest the entire movie. Definitely worth checking out.

The Ritual
(2017)

This movie deserves a better rating.
I liked this movie a lot. I think it's really well done and underrated. It has some original elements and some of the ones you are familiar with but it's still great. Lifelong horror fan right here and I recommend it.

Kol
(2020)

Pretty original movie.
This movie didn't hook me at first but once it got going it was pretty good. Pretty original story. I can't say I've seen a movie like that before. I do have to agree with a lot of the reviews on here the scenes as the credits role kind of ruin the story. Doesn't make any sense and they should of left that out. Other than that it's a pretty messed up fun time!

Blade Runner 2049
(2017)

The original didn't need a sequel but they did it right!
I loved this sequel and enjoy the slow pace and the hopelessness vibe from the very beginning. I like where they went with the story and how it left you with unanswered questions like the original. Leaving things up for debate among fans. The first movie is genius and I think this one is close to it. Awesome sequel!

Blade Runner
(1982)

Tears in the rain....
This movies is hands down the best science fiction movie ever made. The world they created is phenomenal. This movie is layered and saturated with originality. I can watch this one over and over again. I appreciate it more every time. The story is fantastic and leaves you with some unanswered questions that are up to the viewer to determine. I love this movie.
