This had all the makings of a Pam Anderson comeback but her overacting at times (especially at a time of heightened emotional outbursts) drags the film down. Pam can't act when emotions are on the screen. But I applaud her for her willingness to make this work. Jamie Lee Curtis is a gem in this film. She's unrecognizable in this film. But her acting is awesome.
Very much like the film The Wrestler, it tells a similar story. But The Wrestler did it much better. You felt the pain in that film but in this film, the pain superficial. This is a very sad film but it could have been a lot better. The film is too short as well.
