Unrealistic screenplay, cast and visuals I really enjoyed the first Season. I'm having a hard time with the new season. It's clear that the screenwriters and casting directors have never been to Humboldt County or up State California. The setting is near Eureka, CA. I live in Northern CA. I've been there several times. It's mostly Rednecks, Hippies, Latino farm workers, and now legal Cannabis growers. It's not diverse at all. Very few Asians and Blacks. It's rural. The casting department added what looks like LA Hollywood types. They added a new character that is ethnically diverse. The writers seem to not make up their mind "Is it a Medical drama or detective story"? They cram to many scenes in one episode. The only reason that I keep watching it is the Actors are wonderful. They try their best to work around the badly written material. Plus the visuals are wonderful, even though it's mostly Green screen. Once Cannabis became legal, it seemed to change the story line. Perhaps they need to add a new perspective on the story.
