Even if you haven't read the book by Author Terri Woods you will enjoy this Urban Drama. Columbus Short and Erica Peeples play their roles exceptionally well as with Andra Fuller and the on screen chemistry was great. While some may agree that Vivica A. Fox's role in the movie is rather irrelevant its always good to see her in a film. This one is packed with female eye candy from Basketball Wives LA's Draya Michelle, to Real Husbands Of Hollywood's Nafessa Williams and even My Wife And Kid's Jennifer Freeman. The cinematography by Matt Wise is absolutely amazing. Popping with color, especially in the club scenes and Short's wardrobe was fantastic. Not a bad film at all but only a familiar urban drama storyline. Well directed by Preston A Whitmore II who's last big screen movie was the holiday comedy This Christmas.

Pastor Jones 2 is the follow up to the first film Pastor Jones. A low budget movie written and produced by Jean Claude Lamarre(Gang of Roses). The second installment of Pastor Jones didn't a good story line like the original. The acting was decent, especially from the teenage girls in the movie. You didn't see much of Pastor Jones(Lamarre) in this movie either. However this one carries has a strong positive message in it that is seemingly aimed at teenage girls( hence the subtitle: Lord Guide My 16 year old daughter). While the first movie was more aimed at an adult audience. The message in Pastor Jones 2 is suitable for all audiences. There's nothing special about this movie, and nothing drastic happens within. Its just a good positive movie, especially if you are a Christian.

This movie is another good Anthony Hopkins thriller. In this movie he is not eating people or anything like that. But what he is doing is what he does best in most of his movies, toying with the minds of other characters in the movie. It was a great cat and mouse film. It kept you wondering how Ryan Goslin was going to undermine Hopkins. It makes you kind of wonder if Hopkins is as brilliant as he seems in his movies. There is not a lot of action, but a lot of dialouge. If you want to find out who outshines who, pay close attention to Gosslin and Hopkins dialouge near the end. Its a good movie, with a very surprising ending. Its just Anthony Hopkins at his best again!

I must say that this film is extremely weird. The acting by Cuba Gooding Jr. is not surprising. He always lives up to the roles of the character in most of his movies. He was good. The producer used great colors and slow still images in all right scenes.(especially the love scenes). From start to finish this film is somewhat mysterious. It sticks with you after the ending credits are rolling. You would have to watch it and pay close attention to the dialogue to understand what is really happening. It's not an action movie(although there are scenes of violence), and the only thing that grabs your attention is how the movie actually ends. After seeing how it ends, i must say that the ending was very predictable(thats not to say that the ending was horrible, it was great). If you are into mystery movies you would want to pick this one up, but don't expect anything major. There should be a sequel!

Yes. That's right ladies and gentlemen, Snoop Dogg is clearly remaking the classical 70's movie The Mack. This was a very interesting movie and not a bad one. It is certainly worth buying, especially if you are a fan of Snoop. The role in this film played by Snoop came all to easy for him. It's seemed so natural, as if he didn't even really have to work hard at the role.(a listen to a couple of his albums and you will know exactly what I'm talking about!). I must say that i was impressed by the script of this movie. It was carefully written and not dragged out. The movie is straight to the point and definitely in your face. It's only humorous because of Snoop, who we know can be a bit humorous at times. All in all it's just a movie about Pimps and Whores. But the story line, from the very beginning, draws you right in, and you will want to see what happens to Corde'(Snoop) and Chardonnay(Shilae Anderson), who plays Snoops main "Ho".

Motives 2 is a pretty decent sequel to Motives. I must admit that it wasn't as good as the first one, but it is worth seeing. If you are a fan of the first Motives then you would want to see this sequel to find out what happens to Brandon(Sean Blakemore), Connie(Vivica Fox), Derrick(Joe Torry), and the cop(Mel Jackson). It carries an very interesting story line. There is a lot of dialogue. So in order to figure out the ending you must pay close attention or you will not understand what happens in the end. The producers and writers all did well. Stomp The Yard's Brian White does a stellar performance as Donovan, the brother of Emery(Shemar Moore, who does not appear in this sequel). If you saw the first Motives, then you will certainly be anxious to see what happens next.

Nothing special here. It is a journey into a day in the life of Mr. David Blake aka DJ Quik. It gives you an in depth look in to his studio time, some concert footage, and time he spends on the road with his crew( Suga Free, Hi-C, etc.). It includes 3 music videos and some pretty decent behind the scenes footage of Quik preparing for a concert. It is certainly worth having if you are a true fan. Quik is certainly a very talented guy. It's just something to watch. You probably want pull this DVD out much. It will just be in your collection, just like mine. And, last but not least, the music in this documentary is pure G-funk music by the man himself DJ Quik.

This movie has got to be a classic suspense/thriller movie. From the very beginning your mind will began to wonder about the "panic room". You will definitely be on the edge of your seat once the story line completely opens up. It doesn't drag out, about 10 minutes into the movie and it gets right to the action. All actors did a great job and the movie was well shot. The colors in this movie, which a mostly dark, gives it a very eerie feel. Which is probably what the director intended. The ending is one of the best that i have seen in a suspense/ thriller movie. Be sure to have this one in your collection. You will be satisfied.

This is by far the best hood movie i have seen. The whole story line just draws you right into the movie right from the opening scene. It has a positive message in it. The rappers Three Six Mafia( DJ Paul & Juicy J, Project Pat) do an excellent job as well. You would think that they were veterans at acting and not amateurs. The music in this movie was perfect! Every scene was backed up by the perfect background music. The music director did a good job on selecting music(not the rap songs) for certain scenes. DJ Paul and Juicy J will make you laugh in this movie! It comes down to a very sad ending. You kind of hate to see what happens to Three Six Mafia in the end. It is a good movie. Even if you don't like Three Six Mafia, you still will enjoy this movie. If you are a "Hood" movie collectector, this one should definitely be in your collection. The sequel sucks!

This is one powerful movie. After you have seen it, the situations involved within the movie will linger around inside your head a while. It will certainly make you think. This is by far one of actor Sean Blakemore's best. He and Robin Givens go well together in this movie. They both are great actors(actresses). The only major draw back from this movie is that it is low budget. It is definitely worth seeing! Producer/Director Reggie Gaskins who also stars in this film was not a natural for the role that he played. He was decent, but the character that he played would have fit someone else better. Last but not least, the beautiful Mari Morrow. She always somehow seem to fit right in with movies like this( you should see her in the movie Uninvited Guest) You will always try to figure out the ending. You're in for a surprise! Enjoy!

This movie is ultimately one of the best love stories i have seen on film.You don't even have to like hip hop to enjoy this movie. It will make you laugh, and it will even make you cry(tears of joy). Lathan and Diggs light up the screen together. It's a beautiful love story which sends a message of how to friends can really fall in love. It will certainly make you think twice about that friend of the opposite sex, that you have known for years, that you find attractive, that doesn't have a mate. It's just a wonderful movie to see, its not too raunchy on language or sex scenes. It's kind of funny how something like hip hop music can join two people together.

This is a really interesting movie. It is an action movie with comedy mixed in. Foxx teams up with comedian Epps in this movie to give it a comedic spin. It will keep you wondering whats going to happen to Foxx next. It was a well shot movie, the director used the right colors in this movie(dark blue colors) to give it the right kind of feel. Kimberly Elise also starred in this movie and it is always a pleasure to see her on the big screen. She plays her role well. Even Jamie Kennedy is in this movie. It's worth seeing it you haven't seen it. It's definitely worth having if you are a Jamie Foxx fan. It deserves more credit than it is actually given.

This is a good movie. As always Allen Payne always does a good job. This movie will draw you in and keep you trying to figure out how the "problem" happened. There are some funny parts but the best part is the ending. If you really pay attention the lines of the characters of Payne and Neal you will probably figure out the ending. Neal is so hot in this movie, its good to see her back in movies again. By the way Allen Payne can play some ball, check him out in the movie Crossover, now on DVD. There are some well known actors in this movie besides Payne and Neal. There the guy who plays the character Esqire in the movie ATL(he also stars in Idlewild), and one of my favorites Anthony "Treach" Criss, Traci Cherelle Jones(Baby Boy-Yvettes homegirl.

This was a good movie. The only thing i didn't like was the opening credits. The whole jazz thing they were playing kind of ruined the feel of the movie before you even saw it. Denzel got what he deserved in this movie. Sleeping with a married woman and it back fired on him. It keep you on the edge, wondering how Denzel was going to ease his way out of all the mess he got himself in. He got played by Sanaa Lathan, and the one woman who he had seemingly turned his back (Eva Mendes) on(don't burn your bridges!)came to his rescue in the end. It's definitely worth owning in your DVD collection. It's another great Denzel movie and he always does a good job in the leading roles.

Waist Deep is Tyrese's best movie to date. The movies that he star in seem to always center around South Central Los Angeles. That's good, because that's where he's from. He's from the streets, and this is a street movie and a good one. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. It forces the viewer to wonder what other measures will Tyrese and Meagon Good take to get his son back. Sort of a black Bonnie & Clyde. Good action! The only major drawback is Lucky, the character played by Larenz Tate. I wanted to see more of O-Dog, a character he played in Menace II Society. It was a great story with a happy ending. Tyrese and Meagon fit together well.

This movie carried an interesting story line. The acting was pretty decent and the girls in this movie were "hot". After you've seen this movie completely through and you examine the situations of the three girls. You realize that they were just whores or "ho's". 1 girl was married and she cheated on her husband(ho!), the other 1 was sleeping with a guy(s) to get some money(ho!), and the other 1 who seemed pretty decent slept with a guy on the first date(ho!)!. While watching the movie, halfway through it you just know something bad is going to happen at the end. Like married girl says at the end of the movie with tears in her eyes "What comes around, goes around, and if it don't come back on you, then it will come back on someone you love". And that's for real!

This sequel was certainly not better than the first one. The acting was off key and the story line dragged a little. It was more humorous than the first though. It just looked to low budget. The first one looked and sounded a lot better. The first one's story line had a meaning to it, therefore out came the name of the movie. While the second one takes away from the whole meaning of the name of the movie. DJ Paul and Juicy J are always fun to watch because they are so funny. That would be the ony good thing about this movie. They can't act too well but it's just pure Three Six Mafia limbo throughout the movie. DJ Paul quotes in the movie "Im as nervous as a catfish at a fish fry".

This was a really good movie. Even though it was a little low budget, its not a major draw from the movie. The story line is great. If you are a Christian you will definitely like this movie. The point that writer/director Jean Claude Lamarre is trying to make in this movie is that people can change their lives. Also, if you really love your spouse you will make the necessary changes to keep them in your life. I see there is a part 2 coming out. I cant wait to see it. Jean Claude Lamarre is a great producer. You check out more of his movies. Go out and buy this movie. You won't be dissatisfied.
