The Godfather Part III
(1990)

Payback, for real
Michael died a very sad, lonely man. The difference between him and his father was that his father died happily, enjoying life, while in the comfort of his grandson. See the movie, then understand why Michael paid the ultimate price (twice). I shall have to go on, for nothing less than the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of submission would permit me to explain the real meaning of the story. I could comment on all of the attributes that the actors have shown in their respective performances, and agree, or disagree, with comments made about Sofia, the daughter of the director, but my real reason for writing is to convey how a person might have to pay for the errors of his ways by losing the most important want in his life. Michael's biggest joy in life was his daughter.

Cold Creek Manor
(2003)

They fought for their home and won!
Was this about a foreclosure? No. This is what happens when you LET somebody just walk in uninvited. You feel FEAR. Why? because you don't know how to FORCE the intruder UNINVITE himself. If anyone is to learn anything about this story, it's to know HOW to protect yourself, your LOVED ONES and your PROPERTY. Hit somebody over the head with a chair if you have to, get a shotgun, or learn martial arts, but remember that once somebody starts bothering you, it's a never ending battle after that! As it's been said, nobody knows what somebody will do until the chips are down. No,this is not only a movie. This type of INTIMIDATION in life is REAL. When you watch this movie, ask yourself, "What should have they had done from the beginning?" What would YOU have done?

The Party Crashers
(1958)

They were looking to crash another party; they found their last one...
This was a movie that I had seen as a youngster, when I was around the age of twelve. The story was about a bunch of older teenagers (a lot older than me at the time) that got their kicks by "crashing" parties, in other words, upsetting others' enjoyment for their own personal satisfaction. Not to divulge, but I will say they finally crashed a party run by people old enough to be their parents, or by folks that knew how to really have a good time (for themselves). All of a sudden, the "crashers" seemed to behave like little elflings... It's a true reflection on behavior. Nothing has changed... this movie still makes a lot of social sense. Try to find it.

Jade
(1995)

Chaz and Linda are GREAT together!
Don't believe all the negs about this pix. It's not just another "Basic Instinct," either. Chaz and Linda are the consummate couple. V-e-r-y classy. The set decorations are fantastic. I absolutely vote Linda the quintessential queen of soft porn (or was it "hard"--I haven't yet seen the uncut version). Was it Linda or was it Memorex? Whoever it was, her legs are fabulous! Angie Everhart's sultry soliloquy describing her passion for LF (Trina) was like butter melting on a hot lobster. I found myself replaying that scene over and over just to capture the full essence of the moment. The hit-and-run scene was extremely graphic, (wow, what a stunt!) except to Friedkin fans who expect a certain amount of gratuitous violence. The final scene with CP and LF was perfect. I could feel the sexual tension jump out from the screen. The beautifully haunting song, "Mystic Dream," by Loreena McKennitt fit the dark mood perfectly. I still don't know why I love this movie; to borrow a line from the film, it must be "hysterical blindness." Go see this movie with a date, and have a great time together afterwards!
