The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
(1980)

Sunn Schick did some really wonderful films and this is one
I strongly believe that Sunn Schick Productions did posterity a great service. This film and Deerslayer are only two of the many films they did in the 1970's. Do you remember the Life & Times of Grizzly Adams ? They made that too.

Legend of Sleepy Hollow is as clear to Washington Irving's story as I can tell and they kept it in tact without this SDFX mess that so many newer films use now. Jeff Goldblum shines as Icabod and the cast are all favorites, including Mr. Woodman from Welcome Back Kotter as the elderly helper who looks after the school building.

I would rank this and all the Sunn Schick films a 10++ See if whenever you can get a copy.

The Deerslayer
(1978)

Deerslayer is one of Schick Sunn Classics and ranks high to me
I strongly believe that Sunn Schick Productions did posterity a great service. This film and Legend of Sleepy Hollow are only two of the many films they did in the 1970's. Do you remember the Life & Times of Grizzly Adams ? They made that too.

This film mantains it's accuracy by the fact that you learn and not just see SDFX hype. This is truly a classic movie about the early America era and I would recommend anyone watch it. I would rank this and all the Sunn Schick films a 10++ See it whenever you can get a copy.

Grass Roots
(1992)

Exceptional Movie !
I don't just love this movie, it was filmed right here in my home town of Greenville. No mention of that fact in the credits though because I recorded it off the TV and looked for them.

I saw many of the scenes they filmed at the old jail house, the courthouse, the Warm Springs Airport, and many others. Unfortunately I didn't get to be in the movie. I rank this movie a 10 ++ because it had ever known star you can think of. Mr. Adkins was seen in the courthouse square right across from the courthouse. Beautiful town but nothing of the inside of the courthouse was real. I would recommend you seeing it if it ever comes out on video. Rod Taylor and John Glover were outstanding in it !
