Sakutumba Sametha
(2022)

A Streched Short film with good actors
Actually there is no story in the movie. It is just like a short film that covers two days event of to-be-wed couple's life.

Storyline: Heroine wants to break the marriage and hero desperately tries to convince her not to.

To add drama, we have families from both side to make heroine rethink about her sudden decision.

Then the tussle between two families begins. They fight over opinions than sorting out their children's issue.

There are some awkward moments to make it look realistic and to cater some group of audience.

Why the hell did the movie team opt for Sync sound for a feel good movie? There was no music in the movie except in start & end titles. The rest of the movie is only dialogues + environmental noise.

The writing is a mixed bag. There are few really wonderfully written moments but lacked the impact. It was amateurish at parts so was the execution.

Overall, a short film released as feature length film in theatres. No wonder why most people didn't go to theatres to watch this movie. But instead waited for ott release.

Gargi
(2022)

Just Go Watch it as Open minded
The Director Gautham has to appreciated for the way he has portrayed the sensible subject very well in a movie form.

For 2hrs 16mins, we will be immersed into gargi's world.

Positives:

* Performances: Of course, Sai pallavi as Gargi lived in her role as always and Kaali Venkat, he just nailed it. Others too have given their best performances

* Technicalities: The Cinematography has added a lot of value to the movie. The one-take hand-held shots keep us on the edge of seat. Though there are no songs (👏good decision), background score works very well throughout the movie, too good. Production values are reasonably very good considering its budget. One of the best Technical team for the given budget.

* Thrilling Screenplay: The most biggest plus of the movie is its solid writing. Though the movie runs at slow pace, the screenplay doesn't make you feel exhausted anywhere. I watch a lot of movies, TBH this movie doesn't even have a single skip moment. So you can easily spend 137 mins of your life without having any second thoughts.

Negatives:

There were hardly any mistakes in the movie.

* Reason: The climax end unexpectedly & shockingly, but definitely one will ask 'why?'. Was it a editing call or it is what was in the script? - but for me the reason was like half-revealed.

In spite of this, the film stands out as a must watch category movie. The director wanted to convey a important message to the public and he has succeeded in it.

Hope this movie will change the "PERCEPTION OF SEEING THE WOMEN" in the society.

My Rating: 4.5/5.

VR (Vikrant Rona)

Weak writing saved by outstanding technical brilliance
Here is my honest review on Vikrant Rona movie.

👏 Positives:

* The cinematography is in next level. Never seen before in Indian Cinema.

* Ajaneesh loknath's great background score.

* Production design.

* Action Choreography.

* 3D Visuals are very good.

👎Negatives:

* Except Kichcha sudeep, none of them has given a promising performance. Also in some scenes, Sudeep has gone overboard with the acting and body language.

* Unwanted songs and their placements.

* Weak writing.

* Lack of subtlety.

Did you enjoyed it?

Yes, in parts.

Do you recommend this movie?

Yes, with some reservations.

Overall it was worth a Theatrical experience. If you are interested, go for 3D only. Because some intense scenes hit you different in 3D when compared to 2D.

My rating: 6/10.

A Fine Experiment by D Sathya Prakash
Stop reading the reviews and just go watch the movie. The movie is very engaging and filled with realistic twists. It starts and finishes organically.

Don't miss this movie.

James - It's Appu's Show All the way
I don't rate this film, because i don't want to be judgemental.

Bcoz i'm only here to share my Theatrical Experience.

James was a good sendoff for PRK. His screen presence was very good and shivanna's voice powered it to most of the runtime.

The team has shown great responsibility - The patch up can hardly be noticed by normal audiences.

Songs are composed by Charan raj, but dissapointed to know BGM is by Harikrishna.

Director Chethan Kumar has excelled in his work and shown great sign of improvement. All he need is a new age writer for his next films.

JAMES is fully action packed. Action scenes were choreographed & edited very well.

If u are judgemental, then JAMES is not for you.

JAMES is for beloved APPU fans..!

Hero
(2021)

If Django Unchained is called a Masterpiece, then Hero is no less than it..!
I watched this movie on Zee5 (A-rated, 1hr 59 min), after having watched the movie, all i can say is "Wow, what a movie, it was a Great entertainer". I think this is because of me exposed to different kind of films & its styles. And this movie seemed to be inspired by "Django Unchained". I usually don't expect any solid story in any film i watch, but its presentation is what drives me.

I was shocked to see the rating (6.7/10).

Guys, you people need to grow up, actually what were u people expecting from the film. Uff..!

According to me,

Pros:

* Cinematography

* Screenplay & Direction

* Music & BGM

Cons:

* In some scenes bgm overpowered the dialogues.

* Wafer thin storyline.

* Some slow motion scenes tested patience.

* Dark humor wasn't enough.

That's it, I am not a Tarantino fan, but if people had watched django unchained before the day of release, then 'HERO' would have been a Blockbuster hit.

Kariya
(2003)

"A Cult Classic Underworld movie from KFI"
This was Prem's first debut and built a breakthrough career for Darshan. Right from the start to end of the film, the director has boldly presented the scenes with realistic approach. The movie is not only about crime, but it is also a story about Kariya, a gangster who is hesitant to express his love, which was brilliantly showcased with the racy screenplay.

If you have not watched it yet, go watch it and find out why it was called as a Cult Classic.

Rich Production Values keeps you Engaging..!
Umapathy Srinivas Gowda has yet again proved how passionate he is towards kannada Cinema. Because of him, the technical aspects of the film has worked out very well.

Pros: Rich Production Values Cinematography & Color Grading Performances Action Episodes Dialogues

Cons: Routine Story & Old Screenplay Needlesly added songs Runtime

You can watch this movie, i bet you won't be bored if u skip some parts.

A should-be social message oriented film was overshadowed by heroism - A Honest Review
* Firstly, Santhosh Anandraam dissapoints.

* Puneeth Rajkumar keeps us hooked on screens and steals the show.

The Movie had sensible things to convey, but execution wasn't up to mark. The only scene where everyone gets touched is when Appu enlightens the students who bunked classes to watch movie in theatre, with a special mention "Black Board". The story was very good, but the screenplay didn't create a feel of watching a Kannada movie. The most valuable part of this film is dialogues, especially at sometimes Santhosh Anandraam has shown his smartness and writing skills.

* Outdated story (won't even relatable to present dark side of Indian education) * Stereotypical screenplay * Some of the very few good action episodes were ruined by flying fights * Worst bgm & below average music album by highly praised SS Thaman (Goodbye man, keep saving worst telugu films by good tracks & tunes) * Most of the characters were lacking expressions (to be honest, having veteran actors). Because Director was busy in overdosing heroism.

* A Movie can either be mass or class. When both are tried to blend it turns out be a disaster.

Final Thoughts: A Director himself spoiled his great story.

Birbal Trilogy: Case 1 - Finding Vajramuni
(2019)

Best Crime Thriller in KFI..!
Yes, the story is adapted from Korean movie "New Trail". But there is a provision for fair-use given by the law. Both films are different from each other except the one-line plot story. "New Trail" is an emotional crime drama based on true event, at the other end "Birbal" is a crime thriller with completely different screenplay.

Evolving KFI haters are rating this movie as they wish. For me, this movie deserves above 9/10 imdb rating. Because the quality of making is top notch, edgy scenes, bgm, direction makes this a well defined thriller.

Operation Antha
(1995)

A brilliant sequel written by Upendra, but let down by slow paced screenplay & unwanted songs.
Firstly, i would like say, no one could have written a justifying continuation to 'Antha' like Upendra. 'Antha' ends with Susheel get convicted for conducting mass crime & his big evidence containing dark side of influenced politicians goes pointless in the court.

It was a challenging script written by upendra ever before. With a brilliant script in hand, upendra failed to progress the story with his screenplay. And the songs were needlessly included to make it a commercial entertainer. I personally felt this movie a average entertainer when compared to his previous blockbusters Shh! & Om. The film went controversial and was not commercially successful.

But Upendra deserve a big round of applause for his brave attempt.

Rubbish start with a Pathetic finale..!
The 4 stars is only for Production Values.

I started to watch this series only bcoz of shanmukh jaswanth. TBH, his acting was below par in this series. His two Friends who've acted in this series have lived up their roles.

Director Subbu.k tried to bring feel good series which is cliched. Weak plot, Life-less humour, forced emotions, amateurish dialogues badly impacted the series.

I don't know why people are recommending to their friends & calling it as this as GREAT series. You can't bear the unrealistic moments that has been shown in this series.

I don't think season 2 is gonna come. Thank God this was not released on any reputated OTT platforms. Only dumb audiences will surely like it. This is not for everyone.

Bãhubali: The Beginning
(2015)

Best Screenplay, Direction, BGM, Performance - Totally Full of goosebumps
Make a note that i'm writing this review after watching conclusion. The reason why i like Beginning rather than conclusion is: 1) its unpredictability in both story and screenplay; 👏 to legend Rajamouli's direction. 2) MM Keeravani music and background scores and very well written lyrics. 3) VFX, Editing, tone was fantastically awesome. 4) Performances by whole crew.

Cons: 1) Killed logic completely

Interesting but not Thrilling: A Honest Review
I'll try to keep my review as possible. First of all this is just an Action movie. I found not even a single thrilling moment. Let's look at the pros and cons.

Pros: 1) Natural Star Nani's high octane performance & Sudheer Babu's solid cop avatar. 2) Precisely Choreographed Action Episodes (Not like 1 vs 100 in typical commercial movies) 3) Cinematography & Editing

Cons: 1) Slow paced, Weak, Routine Storyline 2) Embarrassing & Childish Apoorva (Nivedita Thomas) & Family 3) Saheba (Aditi Rao Hydari) role is not well written. 4) Climax could have been better 5) Songs & BGM (Except the 1st song, i felt the rest were forcibly included. The makers claim SS Thaman has composed the background score (But it's a big lie to use as a bait).

It took me 1hr to write this review & is honest. But this is not a movie that can't be simply disagreed. Watch it yourself and i hope action lovers will definitely enjoy it.

Useless Director Anil Ravipudi...!
When i saw the film's first look, i thought it'll be mahesh's career best. But it turns out be way more disastrous when you sit to watch this movie. Only dumbass audiences gonna like it. Director Anil Ravipudi should be hanged & tortured like the same as Jesus for baiting patriotism element for commercial entertainment. At the era of content oriented why such telugu directors are spoon feeding the same routine masala.

To Anil Ravipudi: One Day, you'll end up like Sreenu Vaitela if go one delivering such dumbass films.

Not too good and not too bad..!
This film is one of the examples, when post production process is took in hurry. The First 30 minutes might make you feel boring. But after that, the movie comes to track. Though the movie has no intresting plot, but the cast members performed there roles very well. If you are expecting atleast a comedy relief, this movie is a decent watch. As it is released on OTT, the movie's songs and bgm is very bad (you need to skip the songs). Don't go for watching it with huge expectations. I call it a decent one time watchable movie.

Well Executed..! Nothing Flaw
Many are comparing this movie to Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. But this movie has more than that. This Movie has 5 Chapters. But 3rd Chapter haunts me more. A Mother-Son episode was remarkably well done. At the beginning, you may think it is a story of 1 Murder, but at ending the story unveils 3 Murders. The Film reminds Tarantino's Non-Linear Style, But Rakshith Shetty improvised it to be easily understood even for common audiences. Every Chapter is based on one's perception. This movie is a worth watch. After watching, you'll start recommending to your friends. Non-Kannadiga Audiences kindly have to watch it with English Subtitles. Even after you do, you may miss the feel at some runtime. But do not under rate this movie. This not for the ones with Low I.Q

Horrifyingly Awesome...
"One of the best movie that i watched in my Life"

How come this movie is below 8 imdb rated. I found some people commenting on cutties. Korean teens are always sexy, but this is horror thriller so you have to switch your mind to be seriously interesting. People should start looking at their faces. This movie is one of the best Korean in my list. Don't miss this & don't give a damn to the reviewers. Just go watch it. I'm Waiting... for Peninsula.
