Everything Everywhere All at Once
(2022)

Didn't know what I was walking into
This experience felt like a punch in the throat. I laughed, I cheered, and I cried. This movie will stick with me for a long time. I suggest avoiding any trailers or reviews.

Yellowjackets
(2021)

Pleasantly Surprised
This show has been a wonderful find. It gives off HBO's The Leftovers vibes which is exactly the kind of content I eat up.

I honestly wish I discovered this show at the end if it's run because now I have to wait for it to come back. That said, I'm looking forward towards future consumption.

Scream
(2022)

Could've Been Way Better
After watching Scream 2022 (Scream 5), I'm confused as to how critics and fans are rating this film a 9 or 10 out of 10. The 1st and 2nd act worked well, the 3rd act ruined it. The conclusion felt random and unearned. Certain intentions made no sense. I also didn't appreciate the writers pretty much asking the viewers to suspend logic while watching. Whoever is placing this entry into the #2 or #3 spot of the franchise is living in La La Land.

That said, this movie opens itself up to an interesting 6th sequel if written well. Bring Kevin Williamson back to write the entire script. Bring in some more humor. Surprise me with something original.

Don't Look Up
(2021)

The Left's Love Story About Climate Change
I really enjoyed this satire. Adam killed it once again. That said, this story is obviously a giant middle figure to the right about their so called denial of climate change. It's too simple of a story that divides people into right and wrong. It works as entertainment for sure. Not a fan of the demonization though. The truth is, we're all pretty wonderful, terrible, cringey, beautiful, and messed up.

The Matrix Resurrections
(2021)

I mean I guess
Did I enjoy the movie? Yes. The nostalgia factor had me fully manipulated and drawn.

Was this edition to the franchise necessary? I don't believe so, at least not this very edition.

There seems to be something that's missing and I can't quite figure it out. I feel like this movie could've been written better. The ingredients are there, just not the execution.

SLC Punk!
(1998)

Unexpected
I came into this experience with little knowledge of the existence of this film. So it's safe to say that I had no expectations set. SLC Punk! Surprised me in the best way. It felt like a coming of age, face the music type of movie and maybe that's why I liked it so much.

I won't give away the story, just watch it and give it a chance.

The Morning Show: The Interview
(2019)
Episode 10, Season 1

The Truth
The truth is a tricky thing. It's a shield in one person's hand and a weapon in another's. It's shaped by some to fit a certain perspective and sometimes it's left to it's bare bones and all, natural and pure. This episode was about truth and having to face it. It was also about speaking truth when the most convenient thing to do is simply sweep it under the rug.

The acting and story were wonderful and disturbing.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Watermelon
(2021)
Episode 4, Season 11

Best episode of the season so far
Really happy this episode exists especially since the season started off pretty slowly. Can't wait to see how they follow up this experience. It'll be hard, the bar has been set.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Five-Foot Fence
(2021)
Episode 1, Season 11

Yea it was good
Wasn't blown away as far as season premieres for Curb go. Some of the casting was off. We've absolutely been spoiled. That said, I think we're in for a pretty good season. The setups look very promising.
