  • I'm so confused by the high rating of this show. I, like the rest of the world, watched Breaking Bad and thought the show was absolutely brilliant. I don't know if it's a matter of my expectations being too high knowing that it was somehow related to Breaking Bad but I did not love this series. I attempted to watch it a few years back but after 4 episodes in, gave up because it was too slow. Fast forward to now 2024, I thought I'd give it another go. I pushed myself to finish season 1 hoping it would start getting more intense and interesting but I found it to be too slow and overall boring. I think through the entire series, there were a handful of cliffhangers that actually made me want to watch the next episode. It's like things were happening but nothing all at once. The acting was fantastic, love love loved Kim, Howard and of course Saul but the storyline was too boring for me, especially with Chuck - it was painfully drawn out. I forced myself to watch to the very end and still felt unsatisfied. I'm definitely in the minority on this one but had to leave a review anyway.
  • LOVE this series. It's so different and the characters are brilliant. All of the actors are outstanding. Alia Shawkat in season 4 and 5, wow! I am really surprised at the rating score, I think it should be a lot higher. Fantastic series.
  • I thought Lady Gaga and Adam Driver were absolutely brilliant. The cast were all fantastic however I don't know why great lengths were made to makeover Jared Leto and not just finding a more suitable actor that is of a similar appearance. It was a long movie but a story told very well. I also think the accents were perfect.
  • I'm so torn with this review! I absolutely love Jake Gyllenhaal, I think he is brilliant in everything he does and I thought he was great in this. His acting is very believable in this, best acting in the movie because we don't actually see any other characters. I didn't know this was a remake of a film but it did already give me The Call with Halle Berry vibes. The storyline has been done before. I was disappointed with the end which annoyed me. I wanted the 2 storyline's tied up nicely in a bow but that did not happen. I think it's still worth watching but damn did that ending frustrate me.
  • I didn't look up anything about the movie before watching so I didn't know what to expect. I do mean it though, reading through the 5 and under star reviews gave me a lot more entertainment than that 2.5 hour film.

I have nothing to compare it to as I don't watch Zombie movies (I scare easily) but it was a very poor storyline. The characters were really frustrating to watch, especially the daughter. I was hoping she would die so we didn't have to keep watching her make such dumb decisions. It certainly didn't need to go for that long either, could have easily cut out 40 minutes.

I'm going to go back now and read more of the reviews for a laugh 😆
  • I watched this purely for Octavia Spencer and she definitely didn't disappoint, she is fantastic as always. I didn't have high expectations for the movie so I think that's why I enjoyed it as much as I did. Some scenes went from a 0 to 10 very quickly that made me think it was slightly unbelievable but it's not enough for me to not recommend. I didn't like Maggie - the main girl. I don't even know her name and I'm not going to look it up. She irritated me and I don't know if it was her as a person or if that was the character she was playing. Either way, I just watched to slap her. One last thing, LOVE Gianni Paolo. I hope to see him in more movies!
  • I stumbled across this series when searching for something new on Prime and my goodness am I glad I did. What a fantastic story. The casting was just brilliant. Every single actor played their character so well it was hard not to watch episode after episode. I will be very shocked if there isn't a season 2 because they certainly left it open. 100% recommend!
  • I am shocked to see so many bad reviews! I absolutely loved this movie. Rosamund Pike, my oh my, she was brilliant. The casting really was perfect and that's what made the movie so good. I enjoyed the storyline because it was different and I couldn't see how it was going to end. LOVED IT!
  • Vanessa Kirby and Shia LaBeouf blew my mind. Wow! I felt every single emotion in every scene. The acting was just brilliant. I felt like they both threw themselves into the role so wholeheartedly it left me feeling speechless. I thought they worked so well together. I personally really like Shia, I think he was perfect for this role. It was just a beautiful film.
  • I started watching this because I wanted to know what everyone was talking about and I don't regret it. Had it not gotten such a hype (just on my socials) then I wouldn't have given it a go. It's very easy to watch and you don't have to think much. I thought episode 6 really took it up a notch with adult themes and I liked that, made it feel less "high school" and more mature. I'm hooked in enough to watch season 2!
  • I was excited to watch this movie as the trailer looked really intense but gee I am so disappointed about the ending. I didn't expect the plot twist so I thought that was fantastic! However I felt like we as the audience went on such a emotional roller coaster only for it to come to an ending that gave you nothing. I haven't read the other reviews so maybe I'm just the only. I felt the acting was good but you have to really like Joey King or this ones not for you!
  • I didn't look at any reviews before watching this film but I'm not surprised by the low ratings. I really love Alison Brie and Jeremy Allen White so was excited to watch them in a movie together and I do they think were great, that's why I have given as many stars as I have. I enjoyed the acting and thought they were all very believable but the storyline was painfully predictable. I couldn't stop comparing this to 13 Cameras and the film that followed it 14 Cameras (or I See You). It's such a shame!!
