Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story
(2004)

Forget the Nay Sayers!!, This is a Damn Funny Movie!!
I just watched Dodgeball last night and I can't remember laughing so hard at a movie in years, from Vince Vaughn finally being cast as a person you can like to Rip Torn who is always at his best as the sarcastic coach who is full of colorful one-liners, and I didn't start out as a Ben Stiller Fan, but his movies have seriously picked up in quality lately

From the supporting cast and the cameo's everyone does a top notch job, Gary Cole is especially amusing as the sports announcer and his always missing the point sidekick, The Dim bulb Chris Klein type Dimwit on Vince Vaughns team adds to the hilarity, and Missy Pyle(What A Babe!!)

Forget what all the Negativity from the other reviewers state, this is a comedy, a comedy is meant to entertain, it is not Casablanca or the Producers, but it is not meant to be

Desperate Housewives
(2004)

Desperate Actresses
I can't believe how the critics have applauded this mess, the title should be called Desperate Actresses, because they are basically taking no talent actresses and putting them in a medium mostly that women can relate to, how a woman is a stay home mother and deals with keeping a family together, who cares!!, Women want more than to stay home and turn into vegetables, most of them work unless you are a lazy woman who has no purpose or unless they are married to a man with an above average income, they wind up getting divorced and wind up on the food stamp line, Teri Hatcher is at most a below average actress, and she should keep her clothes on!!, Nicolette Sheridan hasn't been in a series since Knot's Landing, this show should be cancelled soon

Houdini
(1953)

Who cares if it isn't accurate, it sure is fun!!
If it wasn't for the movies and the books on Harry Houdini's life he would fall into a category of un-interesting performers who only could do one thing perform

He lived in a time where his talents were in great demand and despite the fact that this film is not accurate it is lovingly presented by Paramount a **Color Film** in a time where Black and White films were still commonplace, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh at the peak of their building careers and George Marshall a veteran director of close to 120 films

They knew what they were doing when the movie partially fictionalized Houdini's life possibly because he was a one note person, a magician, an escape artist, a performer

The movie is excellent!! and that is all that matters, if I am not mistaken almost every remake has fictionalized his life in one way or another, this movie is a true gem!!

Spenser: For Hire
(1985)

The Absolute Best PI Series Period!!
This was and is the best series about PI's ever, Robert Urich and Avery Brooks where what made this series great also Richard Jaeckal and Ron McLarty were great support, The episodes of the first season were the best of the series, the 2nd season had standout episodes, but was not as good as the first, the third season started to show the shows age but I can't think of a bad episode, I love a show which surprises you and causes the hair on the back of your neck to stand up!!, and this show did, Hawk was such a great character and there is only one Hawk!!(Avery Brooks), This show had the human touch which is lost on shows today, this show is not dated it looks as though it was released today

It is my desire to own all three seasons on DVD someday when they are released, Robert Urich was a TV god to me and he is truly missed, this is TV to be remembered, Oh yeah Barbara Stock was OK!(No Truly great acting there) and Carolyn McCormick had bite in **Eye For An Eye** but after that she was dull and un-interesting

Over all a truly great show!!

The Fifth Corner
(1992)

The Fifth Corner Was Superb!!
I just transfered the pilot movie and 1st episode to DVD last night for my own future enjoyment, this series had so much going for it, great stars, great music and a great story, unfortunately it just wasn't what the viewing public wanted, I think if the show friends can go 11 seasons then they could have given this show more time, James Coburn was perfect as DR Grandwell, but I can't imagine his committing to a series, Alex McArthur was perfect as Richard Braun?,If anyone has the whole series on videotape I would either pay or trade for those episodes, and to Sandcrab; I doubt you gave the show a chance!!, If this show was on TV today it would be a winner!!, it had the perfect mood and atmosphere, check it out if it ever airs again,

Friends
(1994)

Sucked for the entire run!!
What can you say about a show that took Six Loser and I might add **Unfunny** actors and put them in a critically overhyped drama, none of these actors before or after have made any contribution to TV history, they are not worthy of the large paychecks they received or anything resembling our respect

There are funny sitcoms out there in the present and past of TV history, Doctor Doctor, Cheers, MASH, and none of them made the money that these losers did, for all of you loyal viewers of Friends I say that you are probably the ones on chat groups that can't spell, and that have limited mental capabilities, keep drinking alcohol until your brain rots!!

Field of Dreams
(1989)

Field Of Dreams (****) Out Of (****)
This movie is without a doubt one of the greatest American masterpieces of all time, it will be remembered long after we are gone in the same way as **It's a wonderful life** and **Miracle on 34th street**

I have read all the reviews from you out of the country reviewers and I guess they just don't get the picture, I saw this movie at the theater and have seen it 35 times at least and it never fails to impress me

I guess some reviewers sit up with a dictionary or thesaurus and look up strong words to make themselves believe they are more intelligent look up the word hyperbole and you might understand what I am talking about

The performances of Kevin Costner, Burt Lancaster, and Ray Liotta are Flawless; also James Earl Jones, Amy Madigan, and Frank Whaley are superb, I couldn't find a minute in this film that doesn't belong, this is not a movie about baseball it is about Father and Son, it is about dreams, and it is about taking chances

A true American Masterpiece!!

Paradise
(1988)

Paradise/Guns Of Paradise/Fantastic Series!!
Recently I have been going through the series I taped in the end of the 80's and I found I have 26 episodes of the Series Paradise/Guns Of Paradise which I just transferred to DVD, this is a series that I would like to see released on DVD as each episode deals with the human condition

The lead character is Ethan Allen Cord a gunfighter who tries to escape his past by taking care of his sister's four children, who come into his care when his sister finds out she is dying, there is Claire, Joseph, Ben and Young George, each episode has the human element such as the episode "The Plague" where the town of Paradise comes down with Small Pox

I found every episode was excellent and I highly recommend this one as family viewing, the only characters I didn't like were Henderson(**The Banker**), Deputy Charlie(What A Wimp), Johnny Ryan was a hoot!!

To those of you out there who would like to trade episodes, please email me.

Wiseguy
(1987)

Wiseguy
Wiseguy was a risky series that starred Ken Wahl as Vinnie Terranova as an undercover operative for the OCB(Organized crime bureau), In its initial season you could not beat it you had Ray Sharkey as Sonny Steelgrave, William Russ as Roger Loccoco, and Kevin Spacey as Mel Profitt, each story line would stretch into story lines that would last as many as eleven episodes, with few stand alone episodes in season one

In the end of season one, Vinnie Terranova said to Frank McPike Played by Character actor Jonathan Banks(I won't be coming back Frank), meaning he was quitting, we'll he should have; because in the next three seasons(Season 4 Ken Wahl was replaced by Steven Bauer(Mistake!!)we had to go through a heaping pile of crap to ever get a decent episode out of Wiseguy after the first season, I think Women viewers stayed tuned to See Ken's sexy face, Oh Pinch Me!!, the only Arc that came close was the Washington D.C Arc which was tied into the Profitt/Loccoco Arc from season 1

Ratings (*****)= Excellent (****) = Good (***) = Average (**) = Poor (*) = Pathetic

1) Steelegrave Arc= (*****)Excellent!! 2) Profitt/Loccoco Arc (*****)Excellent!! 3) Pilgrims of Promise (*) Why Bother!! 4) Garment Industry Arc (*) Boring 5) Dead Dog/Music Arc (*) Waste of Our Time on Has been artists 6) Mob War Arc/ (**) Good Start to Season 3 7) Washington D.C Arc (***) Better Than the rest 8) Lynchboro Arc (**) Picked up by Roger Loccoco's appearance

Most stand alone episodes **Sucked to the Extreme**, and were boring, they should have ended this series after the 1st season or made the good arcs and there were few, into a second season

I will buy the 1st two DVD box sets, but I doubt I would buy any others

I understand Ken Wahl is currently disabled due to large bouts with Alcoholism and accidents he had due to his condition, that is truly a shame, anytime you base your life on past glories, you are in trouble!!

I have gone to Ken Wahl's website and I could care less about what he has to say, he is what happens when depression and no work causes an actor to go off the deep end, lets remember he is now 49, not the 33 he was when the series began, why do you think he won't do interviews on the DVD box sets, because he no longer looks 33

Narc
(2002)

Ray Liotta(**Narc**)
I have read the reviews on the film **Narc** and I am truly disappointed in what **Idiots** are leaving reviews on this movie, Ray Liotta is truly the best actor of his generation, in truth he gained a significant amount of weight for this film which is a Low Budget Film, just because a movie $costs 150 Million dollars to make, does that make it good?, answer no

Ray Liotta is probably the most intense actor ever seen on screen, he is not after the big paycheck, like the money grubbing Tom Cruise or Jennifer Lopez, he stands for art and the nature of his performances

Narc(****) Out Of (****)

This film deals with the dark side of undercover life showing what the undercover detective goes through at home as well, what is wrong with this movie, answer nothing at all

To all you reviewers who say this film is average, you can eat it!!

X2
(2003)

X2: X Men United(Jealous Aren't we)Fantastic Movie!!!!
I have read the reviews on this movie and I mean come on people, from the opening scenes of the Nightcrawler attack on the President to the closing scene this is a fantastic movie!!, longer than the original, but it has to be due to all the new characters, I didn't see one wasted scene

Brian Singer has truly proved that he is a great director, the fight scenes were all choreographed by professionals and everything is convincing, no un-believable over the top scenes that stretch credibility, but truly awe inspiring action

I truly hope there is an X3 and as good as the first two movies have been I am sure that one will please as well

(****) Out Of (****)

Note: To those of you who make comments like "I want my money back", I wasted two hours of my life and I want it back!!", and statements like that you need to get a life!!, Stop wasting our time with those Quipps!!

Scarface
(1983)

The stench from this movie is gagging, pure Toilet Fodder!!
If you are interested in Gut wrenching Awful movies then this is the film you should see, wallowing in unpleasantness for nearly three hours, how many people have seen this movie and become cocaine addicts because they envyed Tony Montana, and Michelle Pfeiffer it seems the only acting talents she has come out when she acts like a Bitch

If you want to see her best film I suggest **Hollywood Knights**

As for Scarface stick to the 1932 film with Paul Muni and George Raft Instead This film zero stars out of five

Baby the Rain Must Fall
(1965)

Credit Where Credit Is Due!!
I have read the reviews on the title "Baby The Rain Must Fall" and I say anyone who doesn't love this movie is out of their mind, to me Steve McQueen never gave a bad performance, and yes that even includes "The Hunter" and the Campy "The Blob", This film is basically about a dreamer who can't seem to stay on the right side of the law and out of trouble, and Lee Remick, I can never tire of watching her, this is a **** star movie and a real gem

For those of you who didn't like the film, well all I have to say is go watch Howard The Duck instead, because I am sure that is your "Casablanca"

24
(2001)

Watch it straight all 24 episodes and you will be rewarded!!
I just finished watching this series straight in two days, no commercials, no interruptions and I must say what a fantastic series, the dvd's are well produced and what a way to skip 480 minutes of lousy commercials, I also read all the reviews on this series and I guess 39 out of 40 is'nt bad, by the way they do know how to spell in Australia Don't they?

Gods and Generals
(2003)

**Sick Of Stupid Reviewers**
I have waited for over 10 years to see the prequel to **Gettysburg**, **Gods and Generals**, and I just finished it, that is the DVD Version which is 219 Minutes, and I can't say anything negative about it, I have read other IMDB reviews from people citing that it is a racist movie comparing it to **Birth Of A Nation**, these people are obviously racists trying to get peoples dander up!!

**Gods And Generals** is basically a movie about the Civil War and what it was about was how it effected both sides and the families at home, we in the 21st century cannot even begin to imagine what it was like for those in the 2nd half of the 19th century

I found Robert Duvalls performance very subdued from his usual type, but for Stephen Lang, he has been one of my favorite actors since his **Crime Story** days, he simply turned in a Tour-De-Force performance as General Thomas **Stonewall** Jackson and I personally can't wait until the third film is released hopefully before 2013 and hopefully Produced by Ted Turner and Directed by Ronald Maxwell

I think anyone who is throwing stones at this movie should consider themselves un-american, maybe you would have felt right at home when our directors and writers were branded communists in the 1950's, I think **Gods and Generals** surpassed **Gettysburg** for the humanistic element for the very least

Note: There was no sign of racism in this movie, there were two references by C Thomas Howell referring to the term **Darkies**, several times they used the word **Negroes** but nothing else

Perhaps you reviewers that cited there was racism obviously just have alot of prejudicism issues that we are unaware of

This movie is a movie for all involved to be proud of, it is a movie that a 10 year old can watch, there is no foul language, there is no bad message, it is simply another feather in the cap of its Director and production staff

It is a true masterwork of Cinema

For you reviewers; I suggest watching the movie before commenting on it!!

Once Upon a Time in America
(1984)

Sergio Leone's "Once Upon A Time In America"
I have been reading all the reviews for a movie "Once Upon A Time In America", and I have never been dissapointed with the movie, but the lack of interest by the part of the movie going public.

Today unless a movie has a nasty loud Rap soundtrack, and things are constantly being blown up, movies hold no interest for movie patrons expecially those under 30, I have seen Once Upon A Time In America over 50 times, I have seen the short version(119 Mins), I have seen the longer version(227 Minutes)(Laserdisc), and now on DVD for the 1st time I have seen the Cannes(229 minutes) version which was only shown in Europe up to now.

I read one review on the DVD where someone did'nt like how the DVD(Disc 1) ended in the middle of a scene, actually anyone familiar with the movie would tell you the scene was over, they actually could have removed the intermission on Disc 2, but they don't have a full intermission as on the Laserdisc it is 4 minutes.

I have a copy of the Soundtrack, Two copies of the Laserdisc and Two copies of the DVD, this is a fantastic movie and a new found classic by the current movie junkies(Not those who listen to Rap Music), I am talking about people who listen to classical music and like it!!

Also to appreciate a 4 hour movie, you need to watch it alone, no wife distracting you or kids annoying you which keeps pulling you out of the movie, remember movies were designed to be watched un-interrupted.

This is not a "Chick Flick", it is doubtful that women would enjoy this movie expecially the violent rape scene, this is a movie for the kid in all of us

The reason why the DVD is one two discs is because Disc oneu uses both layers and preserves the quality and sound, the same is said about disc two, if the movie was on one disc it would be grainy and the sound would be terrible

My gratitude to Warner Brothers for doing an excellent job on this DVD

Moonraker
(1979)

Nasty Reviewers
I have read all the comments about James Bonds 11th film **Moonraker** and all I have to say is if you were born after 1962 you should leave this film alone, I love it when the kids today review movies and they just don't get it, you have to have lived in the time when all these movies first came out or you just don't have a clue

I love reading how **Moonraker** ripped off **Star Wars**, actually **Moonraker** was written by Ian Fleming in the late 50's and they adapted the screenplay to make the movie

If you can't enjoy this movie then I truly feel sorry for you, because it has everything you could want in a James Bond film; Beautiful Women, Great Locations, Great Actors, and Great Stunt Work; the opening scene when Jaws pushes James Bond out of an airplane is truly fantastic!!

You young reviewers are truly pathetic!!

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
(1991)

Fantastic Masterpiece!!
I just completed watching the Extended version of **Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which runs 155 minutes and includes new extended scenes not seen in the theatrical release, and I think the movie was fantastic, even the theatrical release version which runs 144 minutes is a masterpiece, all of you who wrote reviews negating this movie expecially the long winded ones you should seek therapy as we all have better things to do than sit in front of a computer and trash other peoples work, when we have starred in a major motion picture or have stepped in the directors box, then we can criticize, movie: 10/10, other negative reviews; Sourgrapes, get a life!!

Quantum Leap
(1989)

What Are Those Negative People Talking About?
I have read all the reviews for Quantum Leap and it really makes me sick to go through them again, I started watching the show in 1989 and never missed an episode, I can now go back through them as I taped them all from the start of the series on NBC and I have them all in their un-edited for maximum commercial value nature that is currently on the SCI FI Channel

This show Had taste and style when all other shows failed miserably, there has'nt been a show like this before and has'nt been one since

I think quite a few of the bad reviews from people are due to their lack of understanding, this show is about the human condition, not about the decline of human boredom

Since the show Friends has been on for 11 seasons so far, I have no doubt that you are all loyal supporters

Long live Quantum Leap and May Sam Leap forever through time!!

The Great Race
(1965)

Everyone's A Critic/The Kids Today Don't Get It!!
The first time I saw the Great Race was in 1971 on late night television, as a child I watched this movie and was never bored, as opposed to the crappy teen comedies that are out today, you can't compare movies like this to the dredge of movies that have no substance

The Great Race is a movie that exudes style and period detail, it has many great performances from all involved, I will watch this movie over and over until the day I die and I put it up there with very fond memories

I truly pity the reviewers who can't enjoy a Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon movie when they were in their peak

A Truly wonderful experience (****) out of (****)

The Twilight Zone
(1959)

The Twilight Zone **Whatever the Episode Was Never Boring**
I have read the declining comments by some of the reviewers, and I think what they wrote was degrading and utter crapola!!, What makes the Twilight Zone a classic is not only its great writing, great guest stars in early roles, but the show was made to be in black and white

It would not have the impact today in color, but I think Rod Serling was definitely the Jules Verne of his era, his was a definite visionary writer who deserves our eternal respect

Lets face it every show has some less than appealing episodes, but back then a show would not have survived without incredible viewer support and lets face it to throw stones at a man who died 27 years ago and who did something that none of us will ever do is beneath the lowest point of human contempt

Star Trek: Nemesis
(2002)

Star Trek; Is for true fans to comment only!!
I have read all the reviews on Star Trek; Nemesis by IMDB users and I think what I have read is appauling, I just got back from seeing Star Trek; Nemesis and I was blown away by this movie

I have been a Star Trek junkie my entire life, no I don't go to conventions dressed like Data, but I think under the current Star Trek Management at Paramount pictures Star Trek has flourished, Gene Roddenberry may have never forseen the immensity of has early incarnation to be this vast and involving

We need to remember that this is a diversion, and we need to lighten up, in the Star Trek movie series this one just beat First Contact in the top seat and Khan just made it to 3rd place

To all you reviewers who did'nt like the movie as far as I am concerned you can eat my shorts!!

10 out of 10

Star Trek: Generations
(1994)

Incredible Surround Movie, Great Special Effects!!
I have listened to alot of other reviewers on this movie and I simply cannot agree, I think this movie was incredible however they could have trimmed Data's emotion scenes as a first movie for The Next Generation crew it was a good one to pass the torch from the old series to the new one

The space battle scenes and the special effects are great to watch on a "Widescreen TV", I saw this movie theatrically twice, and I usually won't see movies more than once at the theatre

I would place this movie in the middle of the three films being; Star Trek: First Contact; Star Trek; Generations; and finally the Lackluster film; Star Trek; Insurrection

8 Stars out of 10
