This show was made for French Canadian TV. My wife & I both being Franco-American, LOVE this show. Not only is it very addicting, we find it gives the watcher a glimpse of what life was like for our Parents & Grand Parents. You must have at the very least, a basic knowledge of French to get the gist of the plot. The show, which was originally a half hour weekly, was on for six seasons. There was also a longer Christmas special which is just as enjoyable. Although originally broadcast 20 plus years ago, we first became acquainted with it on Cable TV. We are fortunate to have access to three French Canadian stations in this part of Maine, as one of them broad-casted L.T.D.P daily in 2006
