Frontier House
(2002)

The Real Home on the Range
What's more dangerous than Survivor? More intimate than Big Brother? It's `Frontier House'! PBS offers a quality reality show in the vein of those previous hits. This is a must see show. This is totally different than any of the shows on today. If you want a true reality show that is also different, then Frontier House is the show to watch. I loved every minute of the show and wished it could have been longer. This show focuses on the complexity and depth of human nature as it faces new challenge everyday.

The show depicts what life was like for the early American's of the frontier. Three families are given a chance to relive this amazing experience. The virtual frontier was recreated using period experts to show an accurate representation of the west.

There are no challenges for food or gifts, no alliances to backstab each other or any ratings booster. The show does show how the families lived, worked, played and interacted with each other over the five months on the frontier. We are treated to real emotions that show that life wasn't always easy on the range. Can three families coexist with each other being their only neighbors? The ultimate goal is to see who can survive and thrive on the range.

Tarzan & Jane
(2002)

More $$$ foe Disney
If you have seen the television show then you will be familiar with this movie. All the characters from the television appear in Tarzan and Jane. IMHO this isn't really a sequel to the movie but to the television show. The movie revolves around flash backs to the past year that Tarzan and Jane met and now. The movie is just a couple brand new television shows put together to make a movie that Disney hopes to make a profit. Even though i did find the movie enjoyable, i didn't like how it was presented. If you like the morning show, i think you'll also like "Tarzan and Jane"

Tokyo Fist
(1995)

Confusing boxing movie
I can't believe what other people are writing about this. DON'T BELIVE THEM. I rented this movie, almost bought it, and wanted a refund. I guess I had false expectations. Fight Club was amazing to me and I wanted some more. Too bad the most exciting aspect to Tokyo Fist was the box art.

The movie's interesting plot was a whole love triangle between a boxer, his friend, and the friend's wife. The friend/geek becomes a boxer to win his girl back. The wife turns from housewife to Freaky, S&M psycho. Sounds great but nothing came together right for me. The movie is slow with the use of long shots throughout the film that just put me asleep. In terms of violence, it was pretty tame with cheesy effects. I like cheesy over-the-top violence but this was pretty sorry and sparse. I have seen better action scenes then this even on 80's American Action movies. If you are expecting action or a deep thought provoking experience, look for something else. People call it a masterpiece, but I am wondering if I rented the same movie that I did.

The only way you can truly judge this film is watching it yourself. Be prepared for a serious letdown.

I don't usually do this, but I felt the need to warn people about this much often overhyped movie.
