I am not sure how Thoovanathumbikal received more stars than NPMT - I remember watching this movie one New Year eve and coming out with such optimism about life! It may be a personal choice and opinion. This movie is about human life and love after tragedies. The story ending is one of the best as in many Padmarajan movies. I could still hear the tanker blowing horn outside Sophia's house. Classic.

Recently I googled to see the names of the most loved Malayalam movies. I think this gem of a movie was left out as no one is talking about it. In fact this movie was a trend setter for gen X movies in Kerala. I have watched it many times. Even the Malayalam movie such as God father came out after the trend set by Peruvannapurathe visheshangal.
