Hannah has some exciting news, only Derek takes the chance to announce it for her. Annie has a date with Anthony, she asks Vicky to take care of something for her. Kev is gutted to learn that Janice is cheating on him, so he turns to his brother Geoff.
I've always struggled a little bit with this one, as I just don't find it moving or funny, sure the stuff with Annie and Vicky is funny and cringe, but outside of that, it just doesn't offer up a great deal. Sure it's still good, but compared to other episodes, it's nowhere near.
Joe Wilkinson is great as Geoff, talk about well cast, who ever thought there could ever be a character who could made Kev seem sane and sorted.
6.5/10.

Food critic Paul Gerard has a successful, but shady career, a man of influence who extorts money out of restaurants by threatening poor reviews should they not pay up. Vittorio Rossi refuses to pay up and threatens to expose Gerard, but it's a fatal mistake.
A good episode, not really a case of Columbo working out who, more why. A good game of cat and mouse between Columbo and Gerard, Louis Jourdan was really great here, cracking performance from him.
I loved seeing Falk chatting to Mario in Italian, good to see. Fall is terrific here, but then when wasn't he!
There is a humorous element, I loved that every single chef kept on feeding Columbo with haute cuisine.
I'm not sure if anyone else had the same sound issues with this one, perhaps it was just me and my dvd, at times it was quiet, then at the funeral it was blasting out.
I'm curious as to why the show came to an end at the end of this series, until the later series that is, surely it was a big hit.
I'm not sure I'd be tempted with fugu, the thought of it gives me nightmares.

Nora continues to answer questions, she continues with her story that she was unaware of her daughter's lifestyle and activities, she believes that all of the men that came by the house were boyfriends. The defence calls in witness James Carragher, a Social worker
I found it difficult to see how Nora could get away with this one, could anyone on Earth be so naive.
I'll be glad when I've gotten to the end of this one, it's excruciating at times, so uncomfortable, it may go some way towards explaining why crimes from this era were unearthed years later.
Nora gets the award for the saddest character ever in a TV series, wow did she have a hard life, but seems very able to live in ignorant bliss. Even her own defence seems a little perplexed by her answers.
I've seen a bit of Christine Hargreaves, who plays Nora, she was in Spyship, a fantastic BBC series, good actress, who sadly died aged just 45. If you've not seen Spyship and enjoy a good drama series, please check it out.
A little bungalow, they're now more expensive than houses..poor Nora.
