Polygamy Gone Wrong
(2020)

a stylish masterpiece
Wow. Just wow. The vibe, gothic feel, black and white, story, and bizarre nature of the movie I can't get over. All I gotta say is when enough women are abused and repressed for so long, revenge is coming. What another beautiful masterpiece from the zepstone team. Can't wait to see what's next.

City of Salt
(2020)

Kept me Guessing
I came here after watching rite of the shaman.

There are a lot of things I really really like about this movie. The cinematography, music and story are glorious. I like the mystery behind it. The lead actress, her dad and woman detective killed the roles.

That being said some of the acting is not so good and could be better. Worth a watch for the message and interesting weaving of Utah issues.

You can see how the filmmakers keep improving because rite is a masterpiece.

See You Next Tuesday

surprised at this comedy
I've seen zepstone movies before but they were usually dramas. So with this one i didn't know what to expect. It was so funny watching the wife descend into madness and thinking something about infidelity the whole time. Make more comedies please.

Cryo

An honest review
I really thought this was an impressive directorial debut. The cinematography and lighting were delicious. I also appreciated the thought that went into the interweaving leading up to that ending! While lower budget, this is the kind of indie filmmaking that gives other artists hope. If you have a good script, you can make one location work. Worth a watch and will make you ponder on its meaning afterwards.

Merlin
(2008)

The one I can go to again and again
This is a series that I can watch over and over. The characters and story are wholesome yet complex at the same time. The practical effects are really fun as well as the special effects. My favorite character is gaius. He is salt of the earth! I wish this series never ended.

Forgotten
(2023)

Troubling and boring
Don't waste your time. There were some extremely troubling problems with the story like the gratuitous shot of that poor kid getting kicked over and over by his uncles. Why did his uncles hate him so bad? Was that scene really necessary? And that ridiculous ending. Dad's just going to up and quit his job now huh and everything's going to be okay? Very unrealistic story and my friend and I were so bored that we just scrolled through our phones the whole time.

Rite of the Shaman

please get this in schools now
Let's just start with how this movie was made. After seeing the story on fox 13 my heart melted with why it was made. A mother creating a movie for her son that beat cancer. But what was born through this movie is an important message that is not pushy or in your face or crammed down your throat. It tugged directly at my heart and i could relate with the main character so much who by the way was played by the directors son who beat cancer. This message is so important now coming at a time when high school kids are lost and after the shooting. Please get this in all schools RIGHT NOW before more people get hurt.

Climax

What the hell did i just watch
I really appreciate the creativity and improvization here. The colors are also very vibrant, and i couldn't look away. But what the hell with the kicking of the pregnant chick? What was actually going on the whole time? What did i just watch?

Batman Returns
(1992)

The Best Batman
Even with the recent Batman release. I still have to say that this is the best one. The atmosphere, acting, and storyline - especially with penguin and cat woman, are top notch. You really can't get much better than this in cinema.
