This show is very meh, especially if you didn't read any of the books this is based on. It doesn't have the heart of The Wire nor the grit of it either. Despite hiring at least two of the leads that were in the Wire. It's obviously also nowhere near True Detective season 1 and really I'd rather watch TD Season 2 then this show.
I didn't find the schlubby chubster looking lead with the fleshy hips of a woman to be too great either. Definitely a weird looking face. I was actually surprised to see him? In a bit role in the Mandalorian oddly. I think the SW universe is required for many actors-salespeople in devilswood kult.
So eh. I was actually an extra in this show in a few eps btw.

I found the bobaf character here a bit bland and tbh not acting like a ruthless criminal syndicate leader most of the time. I feel that this is a weird attempt to make an inherently criminal thing into some half good or all good thing, makes no sense. There is a lot of suspension of disbelief abuse like most of the Star Wars by The Diz content. If you watch a few of these SW by the diz series you'll see patterns and it's not a good thing. The only series of this franchise I found to be overall great is the Mandalorian.
The episodes with the Mandalorian were frankly the best ones however there is decent action and cgi in all episodes, enough to have kept me watching this short series all the way through. I feel like at least one of the episodes kind of belonged more in the Mandalorian series proper instead of here.
However it is a decent enough series that will keep you entertained in most episodes enough to continue but it's not exceptional and could be skipped without too much loss. Neutral score here.

This is a fairly bland show and unless you already get this as part of subscription I wouldn't seek it out or pay just for this show. Even if you already get it as part of a subscription it's really just a background show not worth focusing on, it's sooo bland. Unless you want something to help you fall asleep, this would be good for that.
From what I've read it's probably better if you didn't watch any of the precursors which I didn't as if you did it would be infuriating etc I became a bit interested in this diz+ star wars gravy train franchise due to the mandalorian being so good. I've yet to find anything outside the 70s-80s films that is as good as the Mandalorian frankly. I'm not a SW superfan by any means.
Andor was a snoozefest to me, gave up after about 3 eps, this so far is similar but does have more action and interesting to watch special effects. Since this is only about 7-8 eps I'll likely watch it in the background while doing something else. I am not a diz+ subscriber btw so it's no loss.
The diz sw and more is also full of dei,ism garbage, check all the boxes-ism. Has the typical marxist wahmens leaders all over the place, very obvious political stuff we've all been able to see since at least the 80s-90s just poured on very thick. Badwhtiemans good everyone else especially ethnikwamans they the besty bestest!! Cringe.
