I really wanted to like this show. The trailer had many of us, including myself excited to see what looked like a return to the serious, quality content we received from the Netflix/Marvel shows. Some people criticize the amount of representation in the show (which I get, seeing they focused more on that than the writing), but where this show falls completely flat is the abysmal storytelling.
Normally I try to think of ways a show could be better. I have nothing on this one. The story and the script were just bad. The actors were not bad, but they can only perform with what they were given. Maya was unlikable, Kingpin played like a jealous, controlling ex boyfriend instead of the crime boss we know him to be. The ending was probably the worst I've seen in a long time, if not ever (granted, I didn't finish She-Hulk).
The advertising hyped this show up so much. All the "violence" and action happened in the first 20 minutes of the first episode. The rest was a drag.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige said at one point that this show was unreleasable. He should've stuck with that decision.

I love Michael Fassbender as an actor and you'd think you can't go wrong with the creators of "Fight Club." The story is straightforward, but the movie honestly could've been half the time. Seemingly most of the dialog is done through a voice over. It takes nearly 15 minutes of voice over before anything meaningful happened. A few fast paced scenes, but mostly monotone talking and monologs that bore you to death. Fight Club had them too, but the was enough interaction between characters and action to balance it out and pay off what they set up. Honestly the trailer was more exciting than the actual movie.
I'm a fan of the MCU. This show does everything they've built a huge disservice. The writing is absolutely atrocious. Every character is underdeveloped and underserved. The overall plot is weak in comparison to the other Marvel projects. It admittedly lives by cameos every week (so far), and I mean literally admits it. The writers are laser focused on painting every man in the show as slimey. The scenes are all over the place. The CGI looks like Shrek. In the scenes with Bruce Hulk, his CGI is noticeably much better than hers, which makes her twerking 100x worse (not that we needed that anyway). I expect much better from Marvel, but we got this.
