Star Wars
(1977)

A very entertaining sci-fi film
I found this film very entertaining from start to finish, There was good performances from the cast and the effects were brilliant.

It's about a bunch of rebels fighting against the evil empire and are trying to restore freedom to the galaxy. In one battle one droid called R2-D2 is sent on a secret mission with the stolen plans of the Death Star. With his friend C3-PO they escape the battle and go to the planet Tatooine. They then meet Luke Skywalker and little does Luke know that his life will change for ever.

I found this film very entertaining and I think it always will be. George Lucas must have a big imagination to have been able to put this film together. I think that this film is an all time classic and is one of the best films in the world and the Star Wars saga.

Beneath the Planet of the Apes
(1970)

A good sequel to a good film
Beneath the planet of the apes is a continuation of the first.Astronaut Brent is sent on a rescue mission to find Taylor and his whereabouts.Brent ends up on the same strange planet that Taylor did and is captured by the apes and suffers the same faith as Taylor did only in a shorter version.Brent also discovers a mysterious under ground place where mutants worship an atomic bomb as their god.Little does Brent know the ape army is trying to track him down and kill him.Brent gets reunited with Taylor but the ape the ape army are getting closer and time is running out.

Some bad acting and stupid parts of this film made me give it a 6 rating. This is a classic but to me its losing some of its magic.Recommended to Planet of the Apes fans,sci-fi fans and people who finds Planet of the Apes interesting. This is enjoyable to some but not all.I hope the next sequels are as good as this.

Planet of the Apes
(1968)

Enjoyable, what else is there to say?
Planet of the apes is a classic with the apes the rulers and man the primates. The make up was fantastic and so was most of the acting.Three astronauts end up on a strange planet where apes speak and rule the planet and the three astronauts are taken captive by the apes. One of the astronauts Taylor is trying to make many attempts to talk but he can't because of the pain in his throat. One of the apes, Vira pays more attention to Taylor because of his major attempts to speak and keeps asking Cornelious and Dr.Zais what will happen when he speaks and one reply is:"human see, human do!"

Planet of the apes did start boring but it got good in the middle and the ending was amazing. It was followed by four sequels and a remake. The sequels are called:"Beneath the planet of the apes","Escape from the planet of the apes","Conquest of the planet of the apes" and "Battle for the planet of the apes".I recommend this to sci-fi fans nd those who are interested in watching it.

I, Robot
(2004)

Creative,but gets far-fetched at times
I find this movie creative and far-fetched.I think it's creative because it is set in the year 2023 and robots have been invented.I think it's far-fetched because it seemed that the makers were trying to make the film longer by adding some stuff that wasn't necessary. It's about this scientist or doctor who designs a more up to date version of the other robots. When the scientist happens to commit suicide one detective gets very suspicious about the new robots and tries to find the missing answers to the scientist's death. When the new robots get delivered to the city, they have a revolution and set up a curfew. The detective tries to shut down the main machine but will he succeed?

I enjoyed this movie, but I found a bit of it far-fetched and made me give it a seven.I,Robot can keep many entertained with the action. Will Smith put on a good performance as usual.Recommended to Will Smith fans ,sci-fi fans and if you liked the movie "Robots".I thought it was great, but I didn't love it.

Watership Down
(1978)

When you read the book after you watch the film you'll have to give it a lower rating
I have seen this film before I read the book and wrote the review, now I have read the book and found it much better. Watership Down is a fantastic story that I will never forget. The film itself is not a very good adaption but it leaves out a lot of parts in the book which I thought should have been in it.

The film is about a young rabbit called Fiver who sees a bad danger coming to his warren, at first his brother Hazel doesn't believe him and doesn't like the idea of running away. The chief rabbit also doesn't believe it and thinks Fiver and Hazel are a bunch of lunatics. Hazel and Fiver set off and so does half the warren. Half of them get captured and only leaves eight to set off and find a new home. Along the way they encounter some dangers that are life threatening. When they reach their new home they make friends with a crazy bird called Keehar. The rabbits then realize that there are no female rabbits so they ask Keehar to find some. He finds another warren called Efrafa and says there are many rabbits. So the rabbits must find a way to take some females and finish Woundwort once and for all.

This film is good with its beautiful scenery and good artwork and was a bit gory. John Hurt does a great performance as Hazel. When I first saw this I thought it was fantastic and I gave it ten, now That I've read the book I had to give it a lower rating. It leaves out a few characters from the book and left out the stories Dandelion tells. I recommend the book more than this film. This film is recommended for those who love animated films. This film would have been a lot better if went exactly like the book. There was a television series that went like the book which I haven't seen.

Thru the Mirror
(1936)

Hilarious!!
Thru the mirror is a very creative animated short of Mickey Mouse. In this short Mickey has fallen asleep after reading "Alice in wonderland",during his sleep he dreams that he has just after walking through his mirror. There, the furniture is alive(e.g a foot stool acts like a dog).Thru the mirror has some very funny moments like the part where the king of cards is trying to kill Mickey when Mickey is caught dancing with the queen of cards and when an army of cards are chasing Mickey,Mickey grabs a pen, jumps into a clothes basket and squirts ink at the cards, also a dance Mickey starts doing lasts for half the short. This Mickey Mouse short is very creative and if you want to see it get a copy of "Everybody loves Mickey".Recommended to Mickey Mouse fans all over the world.

King Kong
(1976)

Brilliant remake
This movie is a remake from the 1933 version but,of course doesn't go with the plot of the original. It's about a man who is trying to strike oil on an island before any other oil company gets there.Meanwhile someone sneaks aboard the ship and everyone is accusing him as a spy,but he really isn't.A woman called Dwan is found unconscious in a raft and is brought aboard immediately.Soon she falls in love with Jack(the guy who sneaks on the ship). When they reach their destination, the island seems to have natives living on it,but they don't pay attention to them they're to bust looking at an oil patch. The chief sees them and offers six of his women for Dwan. They refuse but the natives take Dwan anyway and claim her the "bride of Kong".

This movie has a very good story and is directed very well and a brilliant performance by Jeff Bridges. Also the scenery of the island was beautiful. The effects were terrible and the effects from the original had better. The reason I'm giving it 7 is because some acting wasn't great and at some stage it got into a pattern of boring to good and that pattern repeated over and over again.Recommended to fans of monster movies,Jeff Bridges and King Kong movies.

Hawaiian Holiday
(1937)

Quite good
In Hawiian holiday Mickey,Minnie,Donald,Goofy and Pluto are off on holiday and doing a lot of stuff to keep themselves occupied.Goofy is trying to surf,Donald is avoiding harmful sea-creatures,Pluto tries to make friends with a starfish and a crab,Minnie is doing the "Hoola"and Mckey is showing off with a guitar. This is a funny short and anybody would like it.

Hardly anyone hates Mickey Mouse or dislikes him but people who are not fans might even find this funny for example the sea won't let Goofy surf the waves and they just keep hurling him back to the beach. This is a funny short and no one will be disappointed.Recommended to Mickey Mouse fans.

Mickey Down Under
(1948)

Not a good Mickey Mouse short
This Mickey Mouse short starts off with Mickey and Pluto walking through the jungle with a boomerang and Pluto thinks it is some kind of thing wanting to attack him and Mickey.I am a fan of Mickey Mouse but this is a very disappointing short in my opinion. This just shows Mickey trying to calm Pluto down and the boomerang gets stuck in Pluto's mouth and Mickey is trying to steal an ostrich egg.Mostly I laugh through these shorts and would love to watch them again but this put me off in watching it again but a few funny parts made me give it 5.This has aged well but it lost its magic and normally these shorts don't.This is watchable but not great.

The Simpsons Movie
(2007)

I'm sorry but was I supposed to laugh?
What is so good about this movie?I saw it a first time and thought it was hilarious but the second time time really puts you off on seeing another cartoon movie.I like the Simpsons but this movie shows nothing special about the T.V show,in fact it is just a normal episode except it is longer and gets worst every time.I don't know what gave me the nerve to watch it again but it was like torture. It is about everyones favourite character Homer Simpson who gets the town in trouble by the government because he pours pig dung into the lake witch causes pollution. The town gets really mad and the family have to run away and hide, but how?the town is trapped in a bubble and they have to escape.

I began to hate this movie when I saw it a second time because nothing was funny anymore. And I say you're thinking that I have no sense of humour but the first time I saw it I laughed my head off but the second time made me bored stiff.Simpsons fans will be disappointed or maybe they won't but I'm one unhappy Simpsons fan.

Mean Creek
(2004)

Great movie
Mean Creek shows the tale of a young boy who is bullied in school one day and he tells his brother and his brother gets his gang and makes a plan to get payback. The plan is to fake the little kids birthday and go on a boating trip in the woods. It all turns out that the bully is just a misunderstood kid that has problems in reading stop signs and minds his own business and likes filming stuff.Later, they decide to call the plan off but one lad doesn't want to abandon the plan and tries to make the plan work himself.Josh Peck stars in this movie and plays the part as the bully who is not a bully at all.I'm not a fan of the T.V show Drake and Josh but I watch it sometimes and I think that Josh Peck does a great job in this movie.

This is recommended to Drake and Josh fans and if you like drama movies. The acting was very good and had a few funny moments and memorable moments that won't go away.I would watch this again because I enjoyed this movie.

Johnny English
(2003)

Not the best but still good
I only like the show "Mr.Bean" if only his teddy is in the episode.I'm not really a fan of Rowan Atkinson but I have to say that he put on an excellent performance and Played the leading role as a secret agent called Johnny English.John Malkovich was brilliant as the French villain who tries to become king of England and turn it into the worlds largest prison.Johnny English is about an agent who becomes agent1 after all the other agents got killed in an explosion, but it really turns out that Johnny English is an idiot and makes too much mistakes which get him fired and because he won't leave a suspect alone.Johnny then just sits in his apartment wasting his life until he is offered a second chance by a woman who took his place. Can English stop the villain from his daring plan from taking over England.Watch and find out.

This movie just shows yet again Rowan Atkinson acting the idiot in yet another movie but at least he speaks proper English. This movie has a good plot and runs at a good pace and the acting was brilliant.I have liked this movie but some of the jokes weren't funny at all and Rowan Atkinson plays an idiot throughout and made me give it a 7/10.I hope it doesn't have a prequel or sequel because this movie will be 100 percent ruined.

Too Late the Hero
(1970)

Boring and too long.A big disappointment
Too late the hero is one of the most boring movies that I've ever seen, well its not that bad,the action was good, the acting is decent and the battles are good. For a start, half way throughout the movie some things can just drive you insane and I'm not going to talk about that. It's about an American lieutenant who leads a platoon of British soldiers into a jungle somewhere in the Pacific to destroy a Japanese radio station. At that time a Japanese Major captured two men and are threatening the rest of the survivors to surrender or else he will kill them.As a lot of WWII movies are found interesting I found absolutely nothing interesting at all.The atmosphere for this movie is good and the effects are crap.

This movie is nothing but sheer disappointment nd nothing can change that(yes, even a remake). The blood wounds are cheesy for a movie that was made in 1969.I don't know what the deal was on making this movie,it was probably seen as spectacular for its time.I was going to give it a 5 at the start but the boring parts made me give it a 4 instead.Mostly if you see a war movie you are expecting to see a lot of action but this is a war movie that should be avoided because there is barely any action in this movie.War movie fans will be disappointed with this heap of junk.

Daddy Day Care
(2003)

Eddie Murphy's worst performance in a movie
This has to be one of the one of the worst comedies to walk on the face of the Earth, the acting is dreadful, the plot sucked and Eddie Murphy put on a bad performance.I've seen Eddie Murphy in the Shrek movies and he put on great performances. It's about to lads who call themselves losers and put up a daddy day care center and they soon find out that they can't control the kids and an inspector comes and says they need more staff or else he will shut daddy day care down but fear not...the two boneheads have a plan that doesn't seem to work and daddy day care gets shut down. The only way to reopen it is to find a bigger place, more staff and try to get the kids back from some school for kids aged 2-4 or something like that. This movie is a real joke that can't make you laugh instead it makes you sleepy. The story isn't that bad but nothing is funny except the part when a kid comes out of the bathroom and says "I missed"and Eddie Murphy looks in the bathroom and the music from "Psycho" comes on.

Eddie Murphy fans will be extremely disappointed with this movie but I kind of doubt they will like it but its your choice to watch it.This really is a really bad movie and that includes Eddie Murphy's performance.

I would only watch this again if I have to pick a choice between "The Pink Panther" or this,I would watch this movie again This is a movie that should be avoided at all costs and don't say that I didn't warn you if you're disappointed. What a waste of time and film.

Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers
(2004)

Funny and unpredictable
Mickey,Donald and Goofy star in this cute musical as three janitors who dream of becoming musketeers because three of them saved them when they were young. When Pete is trying to steal Queen Minnie's thrown,he is hoping that his henchmen are doing a good job in kidnapping Minnie but when one fail attempt to "kidnap" Minnie(they thought they had to kill her)got in the way,Minnie wants musketeer bodyguards and Pete knows he's screwed but an idea comes to his head and he hires Mickey,Donald and,Goofy to become musketeers and protect her.But when Minnie was in a time of need when the henchmen kidnap her Donald hides only leaving Goofy and Mickey behind.Mickey and Goofy succeed but Minnie isn't safe for long....

This a good tale on how Mickey's,Donald's and Goofy's dream come true as they go on wacky adventures and do hilarious stuff that can get them into trouble. The songs in it are good for an animated movie and the plot is perfect and goes at a good Pace.No matter what Mickey,Donald and Goofy do their friendship is never broken and they stick together in attempts to stop Pete in becoming king of France and its never too late to see this movie. This a good movie that could make your kids who are fans of Mickey Mouse to be quiet for at least an hour and a few minutes but you watch it too its great!

Lonesome Ghosts
(1937)

Mickey Mouse hasn't grown old
"The lonesome ghosts" is one of my favourite episodes of Mickey Mouse. Its about four ghosts who get bored and want something exciting to happen so they call ghost busters who are also bored because they get no customers and not making money. When they get a phone call from the ghosts, one ghost has put on a fake accent to make the ghost busters believe their prank. Then Mickey,Donald and Goofy believe their prank and go there immediately with not so good equipment and unaware what surprise is in the house.I find it easy to say that Donald is the coward,Goofy is the goofy one and Mickey is the brave one, always encouraging the other two to do stuff that they are not so sure about but it shows in this that all three are cowards when they say they are professionals and fearless. It is always fun to watch this episode again and again because the humour never stops.

This a very exciting and funny episode that is enjoyable for the whole family and if you want to see it,get a copy of "Everybody loves Mickey" or "Mickey's house of Villains".Is it just me,or does Mickey Mouse never grow old?

The Wizard of Oz
(1939)

The book is better
When I read the book by L.Frank Baum I became a fan of it the and wanted to see this movie because I was astonished with the mystical land of Oz.The wizard of Oz is about a girl called Dorethy who gets trapped in her house during a storm and ends up in a strange land with her dog called Toto. There, she has to follow a yellow brick road that leads to an emerald city so she can meet the wizard of Oz.On her journey, she meets a scarecrow that wants a brain,a tin man that wants a heart and a cowardly lion that wants courage.A few annoying songs can drive you insane but there is no real hassle because there is a good plot and the acting is decent enough. The only bad thing is it doesn't show how hard they traveled to the emerald city like it dose in the book and the length it took for Dorethy to get to the good witch of the north. The wicked witch of the west,I have to say has a very sensitive hate of water because a small splash killed her.

I'm giving it 6/10 for a reason. And that reason is the book by L.Frank Baum really explains the story and this movie just didn't explain enough.A few laughs made me give it 6 but if I were you I would read the book, watch the movie and then write the review. This is a movie that is recommend to people who are fans of movies that were made in the 30's.

Singin' in the Rain
(1952)

Shouldn't be ruined by a remake
Singn' in the rain is an unforgettable musical that still entertains people today. It is based in the year 1927 when talkie movies come in and one film company is struggling to get their movies right and try to dub their squeaky-voiced actress. When one of the actors named Don falls into a car when trying to escape from fans he meets a woman who mistakes him for a robber and he has to explain to her that he is a famous actor. She introduces herself and says that she is a stage actress.Don later introduces her to the film company and they try to find a way of dubbing the squeaky-voiced actress in secret....

Singn' in the rain basically shows you what silent films are like and how loads of mistakes were made when talkies came in (you know, when new things come in they can't be perfect all the time). The performances and songs were excellent.

This movie is Fun for whole family and is a must see for musical fans that have not seen it yet. This is a movie that dose not deserve to be ruined by a remake.

Kingu Kongu no gyakushû
(1967)

Terrible!
Oh my God what the hell happened here?!! I'm not going to say this again but what sort of backward movie is this? The dubbing in this is way worst than the dubbing in "King Kong vs Godzilla",Linda Miller had to be the worst actress in it and the suits are really cheesy. Its about some villain called Dr.Who who gets henchmen to build a robot gorilla that has the same strength as King Kong but when this robot breaks down he builds another one and then tries to kidnap Kong. When he does(thats when Linda Miller gets annoying)he makes Kong his slave but everything goes wrong and King Kong escapes. Then Dr.Who sends the robot after him.

Later when I was watching the movie I got a headache when Linda Miller and the other clowns started moaning. As I sat through the misery of watching the DVD while it was playing I was hoping that the madness in the movie was going to end until the fight. The ending has to be a really bad one because they could've shown Kong back on his island fighting dinosaurs again.

Don't watch the movie under any circumstances or if you do... beware of the disappointment you will receive.

King Kong vs. Godzilla
(1963)

A low for Godzilla and King Kong
To start the comment I would like to say that I found nothing interesting about this movie, for a start the fights are too short, the dubbing is poor and the plot is not good enough. If the plot isn't recognizable to you its about a doctor who sends 2 explorers on a mission to an island to see if Kong really exists but at that time Godzilla breaks out of an iceberg and is heading for Tokyo...soon the explorers find Kong and take him back to Tokyo unaware that he will fight Godzilla.

King Kong vs Godzilla is cheesy and I don't think they call it a classic because in my opinion its not and never will be and I know its the 60's but come on!the 33 version of King Kong has way more action but at least this movie is better than "King Kong escapes"and God Im not going to talk about that movie in this comment.

If you are disappointed with this movie don't say I didn't warn you. Avoid at all costs

King Kong
(1933)

Watchable black and white movie.
When I bought a box set of King Kong,King Kong escapes and King Kong v Godzilla I had a feeling that I was going to be a little disappointed but I was a lot wrong. If you don't know the plot its about a man named Carl Denham who is trying to find the perfect woman for his picture. When one of his crew members doesn't seem to make an effort in finding a woman Carl decides to find a woman himself. When he finds a woman named Ann Darrow he tells her about the picture(but not every detail)she decides that she will do it.But everything goes wrong and she is soon sacrificed to King Kong on Skull island.

This movie may be very cheesy but the technology really surprised me and no wonder they call it a classic. This may have a slow start but the action is surprising for a movie that was made in 1933.The sound effects are amazing but I'm still giving it 6/10 for the slow start and the not so good ending.

I recommend this movie to people who are fans of movies from the 1930's.Who knows, you might find it better than I did but all in all a good movie.

Stand by Me
(1986)

excellent drama
Stand by me is about four kids who set off to look for a dead body of a missing kid.

Stand by me is an adaption of the Steven King novel The Body. When I rented the DVD I loved the film and it still hasn't lost its magic. The amount of times I laughed I lost count but the story Gordie was telling them was one of the funniest moments and so was when they were trying to cross the train track and Vern is crawling along the way until a train comes. fans of Cory Feldman (Teddy) will love this movie.

Recommended to all drama fans and you obviously won't be disappointed. If you don't like the movie I don't know what to say.

Kingdom Hearts II
(2005)

The best of them all
Kingdom Hearts2 (in my opinion)is the best game I've ever played. The animation and graphics really impressed me.It's a sequel to Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts:Chain of memories. In the game,Sora is still continuing his search for Riku but evil awaits....

I have played this game over again and I still love it.If you haven't heard of this game then I suggest you play the first one. Then play this one.

I don't know how people hate it 'cos I don't see anything wrong or bad about it.Kingdom Hearts fans won't be disappointed or maybe they will because I was not.Enjoy the game!

The Golden Compass
(2007)

Not bad at all
I first saw this movie in the cinema and wasn't expecting all of the surprises like a parallel universe, demons that followed the people everywhere they went and armored bears. After reading some reviews of people hating it,it's just hard to believe they hate it.

I don't think it should be 12a just PG but when Mrs.Couter's demon started to strangle another demon a boy started to choke and a girl around 3 or 4 in the theater started crying,no wonder it was 12a.I'm not a fan of fantasy movies but this has to be the best.

I'm giving it 8 out of 10 because the ending is boring but who would think a bear could knock another bear's jaw out! This movie is a must see for every fantasies fan there is.I'm looking forward to the sequels coming soon.

Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing
(2001)

A funny game
I found this game very funny with all of the character's big heads! Although its a baby game older people will enjoy it very much.

There are loads of weapons you can find during racing and arena mode is the same as a demolition derby but better.Little kids will love it as much as adults will/might.For some strange reason the character's heads are bigger than their ships and always spin in a circle when their shields are gone.On a Tattoine race some guy throws something that makes you crash into something.I love the arena mode but mirror racing I find difficult even though you are racing the same race but going in a different way and thats what makes it complicated.

Fans will enjoy it and probably won't be disappointed.
