Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable
(1995)

This one really makes you think
I saw this film at EPCOT in Walt Disney World. It is a short, animated film about just what it's named: the environment. It's well done and good for teaching children using beloved Disney Characters (which I think was the goal of EPCOT). I don't want to give away the small plot, but it mainly makes you feel horrible for living in today's society. The audience learns A LOT about trash and pollution and all that in the film and really teaches them about how to work for a better future. It was a very touching film that I think everyone, especially in America, should see.

Mickey's House of Villains
(2002)

It's Our House Now!
What a great song!!

Anyway, this House of Mouse movie was much better than the Christmas one. The concept and plot of the villians was very interesting. Many of the segments were hysterical. Especially "How to be Ghost" (or something like that). You could tell that "How to be a Ghost" was animated very well. The classic segments were a great addition! Also, the music and animation matched perfectly for the "Dance of the Goofys" and the "Hansel-mickey and Gretel-minnie".

Great movie and the DVD's game was also very well done.

10/10

Return to Never Land
(2002)

One of the rare good sequels
Many movie fans want to see more of the story. Some are totally cheesy (Grease 2) while some are better than the original (Toy Story 2).

"Return to Neverland" is one of those rare good sequels. I felt the animations and colors were wonderful as well as the continuation of Peter Pan's adventure. My only complaints: Wendy should have been voiced by Katherine Beaumont (The original voice of Wendy and Alice in Wonderland and is still alive today) and the lost boys song could've been written better.

I've seen other comments about Disney Sequels and they're right. Disney's well of magic seems to be drying up. There were all those Beauty and the Beast Sequels, the Aladdin trilogy and tv show(which wasn't that bad), the poorly animated Cinderella 2, the unoriginal Little Mermaid 2, and so on. Now we see previews for more like 101 Dalmations 2, and I've heard about a Bambi II, Dumbo II, and Mulan II and III. But need I remind you movie watchers that Disney has been turning out some great Theater movies like Lilo and Stitch and Atlantis. (Treasure Planet looks good). Although usually, these sequels are done by the Disney television studios which I believe may have less sophisticated and talented animators.

Anyway, "Return to Neverland" was one of the better sequels to a Disney classic and I hope Mulan II is good too. I give RTNL 8 out of 10 stars.

Walt Disney World Inside Out
(1995)

A wonderful behind the scenes show!
I remember watching this show on weekends. It always got me excited to go to Disney world. The hosts take you behind the scenes at Walt Disney World and do contests with the audience. One was: how many stones are in Cinderella castle? The answer was zero(I think it was all concrete) and the winner, a teenage boy, won a glass slipper! The hosts did a wonderful job and JD Roth continued doing other game shows on the Disney Channel and Animal Planet. I loved this show and I was so upset when it was cancelled.

House of Mouse
(2001)

what a great cartoon show!
This is one of the best cartoon shows Disney has made! (But nothing can top the Disney Afternoon shows) It's so much fun watching all the characters together. The jokes are hilarious and the new cartoons are great. The ones with Donald and baby Shelby are soooo funny! What a great show and revival of classic, lovable Disney Characters!

The Great Mouse Detective
(1986)

Fun Disney Movie!
This was a fun disney movie! I received the very first video release of this movie on my 7th or 6th birthday. I've loved it ever since i first watched it. I think it partly encouraged me to play the violin(and I still play today!).

The mix of things is just right. You have the detective hero, the plump, comical sidekick who isn't funny on purpose and the lost little girl. The villians weren't to scary and the movie had just the right number of lovable Disney songs (what else can they sing about? - "I'm Basil of Baker street, I solve mysteries. Oh look! Toby has fleas!")

The comedy and action is just right. Most kids hate kissy scenes so leaving romance out of this movie is fine. All the characters are funny and lovable (okay except for Ratigan, Fidget, and that scary Tavern waitress). The music is great, the animation is wonderful (especially inside Big Ben), the mystery genre is just right, and Disney didn't ruin it by turning it into a musical. I give it a perfect 10!!!!

Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse
(2001)

Great movie!!!what are you all talking about?!?
Okay...so I'm a Disney fan.

This is a great holiday movie with a touching lesson. (that may be a bit overused in holiday movies. Christmas is all about friends and family)

I have to admit, the whole reused segments and in between animation is kind of boring, but they are classic tales from Disney and the in betweeners are fun to watch! It's not everyday you watch movies with loveable characters side-by-side. I think it's great that the other characters are able to chat with each other and take a break from their movie lives. It's just like actors and actresses getting together at a club and watching other performances for a change.

The classic tales retold with that Disney magic is great and the classic features mix well with the newly animated (though not the best animation) shorts.But...

What are you other people talking about??? You obviously haven't seen the Saturday morning show, HOUSE OF MOUSE, which the movie is based on!!!! Watch the show and you'll understand why all the characters are there and why cartoon shorts are shown! Mickey and Donald run a CARTOON club! Of course there will be cartoons shown!

With that said...this was okay for a Disney movie. It wasn't the Disney company's best holiday movie(Once upon a Christmas was much better!!), but they seem to be running out of material. I mean- Cinderella II, Hunchback II, Lady and the Tramp II, etc., coming soon- Dumbo II, Mulan II, 101 Dalmations II: Patch's adventuresomething like that], Tarzan and Jane...okay, it's weird I know all this stuff...Disney is running low on their magic.

Anyway, to sum it up...Magical Christmas was great and shouldn't be shunned so much by people who probably think Anastasia was Disney movie(believe me, most people think it is)

Mulan
(1998)

I loved this movie!!
What a great Disney Movie!

This movie is full of wonderful animation, wonderful voices, wonderful songs sung by very talented singers and great story. I haven't heard the real legend of Hua Mulan, but according to some other comments, it seems accurate enough (unlike Pochahontas, which was just...wrong). It's a great movie everyone should see, no matter what your age or nationality. I also applaud Disney for making more films based on other parts of the world (they've had a lot of American and English movies).
