I did remind this terrific tale, outstanding because of its message, its moral in the end. Not the kind of story that you could have found in ONE STEP BEYOND tv show. A philosophical plot speaking of beauty, and how human interpret the concept, the definition of beauty. It is some kind of ELEPHANT MAN in reverse scheme. It's strange that, from the beginning of the episode, you can't see the faces of the characters. Strange and fascinating. This element is a riveting way to glue you to this exceptional episode, very intelligent, subtle and esay to understand. An absolute must see. Do not miss it.
That's the first episode of the TWILIGHT ZONE series that really puzzles me. I did not get where the moral exactly was. I suppose I was too dumb to get it; and still am. For those who can understand it, I guess it's not a bad episode. The main interest for me was of course John Carradine's performance. It is however disturbing, confusing and I am sure many folks did not get it either. It seems this story is related with Bible or something like that. That's not the episode which I will remember the most anyway. I don't say it's lousy, only because I did not make it with the understanding. Check by yourself.
