I saw this movie when I was about 10 or so and I absolutely loved it. The animation was fantastic and I actually thought it was better than the Disney movie. The story was very involved, but not too hard for a kid to follow. I hope to find this movie on DVD.

The first Darkman movie was awesome. The 2nd was stupid. Durant comes back from the dead to torment Darkman once more, please. If you're in the kind of chopper crash he was in, you're dead and you stay dead.

This sequel however was pretty good. Darkman is tricked by a doctor into allowing a procedure to reconnect his nervous system, but instead it's connected to some kind of electric shock device. She uses it on him if he doesn't obey her.

Darkman's skin formula and diskette the forumula's on are stolen by the doctor's boyfriend Rooker. Darkman has to try to get them back, but while he's doing this, ends up falling in love with Rooker's emotionally battered wife and child.

The movie would've been better if it wasn't done on a shoe string budget with lowgrade special effects (like garbage cans sailing into the air when they explode, please). But it's still a step up from the 2nd movie.

Beautifully done movie. The landscape scenes are breathtaking. The horses are all gorgeous (esp. Thowra) and the music is haunting. The scenes with the mother and daughter sometimes interrupt the flow, but it's mostly horse footage. And yes Russell Crowe is a hunk as always.

I liked this movie because it showed the consequences of being vengeful. Peyton Westlake was a scientist who experimented with artificial skin and hoped to perfect it to help burn victims. When he was mutilated and burned beyond recognition by Robert Durant. He turned his experiment into a weapon of revenge. He would disguise himself as his enemies and turn Durant's criminal organization against itself.

As he goes through this Westlake becomes Darkman. He no longer cares about helping humanity, but only about getting revenge. His soul loses everything that made him a man, and in the end he's a killing machine. He's just as bad as those who made him that in the first place.

But that's why I liked the movie. It doesn't glorify vengeance seeking, instead it shows the reality and consequences. Seeking revenge doesn't just hurt your enemy, it hurts you as well.

This is the only movie that manages to scare the crap out of me when I watch it. I saw it the first time when I was maybe 8 and it messed me up in the head a bit. But as an adult I can appreciate its powerful story and magnificent acting.

George C. Scott plays a composor named John Russell whose wife and daughter are killed by a semi truck running over them. Russell moves to Seattle, WA where he attended college. He becomes a music teacher at his alma mater. He rents an ancient mansion from the local historic society.

Soon after he moves into the house, strange things start happening. Every morning at 6 AM, there's this terrible banging sound that goes for about 30 seconds and then stops. John also sees doors opening by themselves and hears strange voices in the house. One time he's going thru the house and hears water faucets turning themselves on and off. He goes into the bathroom on the 3rd floor and the tub is filling itself with water. I won't say what he sees when he looks into the tub cause that would spoil it.

This movie is definetely worth watching if you want to be truely creeped out. Instead of relying on blood and gore like Friday the 13th, this movie relies on plot, acting and atmosphere to reach you and chill you. It relies on man's primitive fears of the dark and unknown.
