George & Mildred: The Little Dog Laughed
(1976)
Episode 7, Season 1

Innocent
This show transports me to a more easy going happy era where we laughed with Mildreds comments to George which today would(sadly)be frowned on or even cut out. Yet all our family, Mum Dad Kids sat and chuckled throughout the show.

Happy Happy memories.

Yesterday
(2019)

Best movie I have seen all year
I was not expecting to much of the film just curious what it would be like.

Well I was blown away by it !... I just did not want it to end. I'm of an age that Beatle mania is very clear in my mind.

And this film captures the fun that The Fab Four intended to put into the world.

My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough Thanks Netflix for a great film.

Brilliant Remake
This is so good it's a shame it has to be compared with the original.

In it's own right it's a fantastic movie and cast.is perfectly blended.

Comparing with a Hollywood classic is not fair I loved every minute of the great film. The best Netflix have done for a long time.

Thanks to all involved for such a great production.

Dad's Army
(2016)

I really enjoyed it
Well despite all the poor reviews I decided to see it;and how glad I am that I did.

The innocent humour was still there in bucketfulls and most of the parts are played with respect to the original roles.

All in all a great way to pass a couple of hours.

Wanted: Chelsea and Lola
(2016)
Episode 1, Season 1

Brilliant fun ride !
It's easy to follow fun to watch and the two women bounce off each other perfectly. Have now watched it twice it's a great bit of escapism.

I really would say if in doubt watch it you won't be disappointed.

The Last Post: Starfish
(2017)
Episode 2, Season 1

Yes it has faults but don't we all?
I really enjoyed this episode I'm not one to pick out small mistakes or logic errors ;just want to be entertained and this did the job. I was particularly impressed with the sets really authentic.

World on Fire: Episode #1.2
(2019)
Episode 2, Season 1

Let down after a good start
I really enjoyed the first episode and couldn't wait for the second, bad mistake, the storylines went downhill rapidly, For a starter the idea a factory girl with good northern values would suddenly decide on a pointless sex romp in the back of a car(just to get it out of her system as she explains)is just to out of character, The story in Paris of a relationship is pointless and irrelevant to the whole episode. The young Polish boy refugee would have most certainly been put into local care not kept as an unwelcome guest in the Manor house.I could go on about the Polish resistance parts but feel I won't. I will see how the third instalment goes before deciding if it's worth watching them all.

Another Life
(2019)

Terrible....
...That is the only word that comes to mind. Well a good few more but not of the printable type. I don't know if I missed something or the writers were having a bit of fun by creating THE most unbelievable cast and story in order to create a reaction amongst viewers. But Netflix have won no friends releasing this !

The Ritual
(2017)

Good start...
I really thought I was in for a treat,Shock start and tension built up. Then we are in Sweden(Romania actually) and the scenery is breathtaking and atmospheric ,I settled back in anticipation of a great story. Unfortunately that was it,once we passed the 45 minute slot it became a mish mash of absurd plot lines similar to countless other movies churned out in USA for many years. In the end I was just wishing it would be over sooner rather than later.

A Prayer for the Dying
(1987)

I looked forward to this movie....
Oh how wrong could I be... It was completely unbelievable, poorly acted and the villains resembled The Driscoll Brothers from Fools and Horses. I wasn't sure if it was a comedy or just a terrible unconvincing storyline ... Still as they say my loss is your gain... As you will now be able to avoid this waste of two hours precious time ,which I didn't.

Vengeance: A Love Story
(2017)

Unbelievable story lines throughout.
I sat through this movie as I was mesmerised how bad it was. The courtroom scenes would have given the KGB a bad press they were that stupid. There are too many script loopholes to mention. At the end I just breathed a sigh of relief it was all over.

Snatch
(2000)

Simply a Classic
This is the only film in a long time when I have laughed out loud at so many spots. The script is a masterclass not often found these days. I only found it by accident while browsing Netflix.. How glad am I that I did!!! Will be watching it again in the near future

Glitch: Two Truths
(2017)
Episode 2, Season 2

Seems like they are running short of ideas.
In what was a great first series where the storylines were really interesting. Now unfortunately as the second series has evolved it is begining to seem the script writers are just stretching out the plot to the point of boredom. What could have been concluded in series one and then be remembered as a great show is now in danger of being remembered as a series dying on it's feet

Timeless
(2016)

Just Great
This show is a really good fun look back in time that adds fun and adventure to a genre sadly neglected in the past. I love the storylines .. More Please

Wanted: Episode #2.4
(2017)
Episode 4, Season 2

Tense
Well the plot just gets deeper and deeper. And with all the spectacular scenery and the girls running out of money and getting into more and more scrapes it was was totally gripping. And a surprise ending. Although why Ray as an experienced and street wise ex cop would turn his back on his enemies and walk away somehow defied belief.

Ozark: The Big Sleep
(2018)
Episode 8, Season 2

ambush
Well the Snells car is peppered with a fusilade of bullets ,similar to the ending of Bonnie and Clyde(1967). Except a slightly different ending.... ONE clean shoulder wound !!! Where did all the other bullets go ???

Miracle Mile
(1988)

I'm speechless
I read the reviews before watching this. And I am wondering if I have been watching the same movie !! It is so poor. Acting/Script/props/Scenery/Effects.... At times it reminded me of Airplane and that it was perhaps a follow up film. As the dialogue was totally hilarious.I kept waiting for Peter Graves Julie Haggerty or Lloyd Bridges to pop up.But I think even they declined to appear in this !So in the end I gave it 3 points for the courage of the actors for appearing in it.

Cilla
(2014)

Brilliant
This is what I have been missing for a long time. Here we have a real drama that is totally down to earth English and something we can all relate to in one way or another. It is convincingly authentic in its atmosphere of post war Liverpool with the bomb sites and obvious lack of material things, but a feeling that things are about to get a lot better. A few dodgy accents does not detract from the work the producers and cast present us with.

Sheridan Smith is pure class AND She performs all the songs herself. This young lady has a great future ahead of her. This could well move on to Londons West End and be big success. Well done ITV for giving people what they want.
