Dunkirk
(2017)

Best start to a Nolan Movie EVER!!!
As a follower of Christopher Nolan, like many others, I was extremely excited about this Movie. The first 1 to 2 minutes did not disappoint. With the tense music and quick pace in taking the movie to Dunkirk beach I knew I was in for a real treat. After around 2 minutes I was confused and trying not to lose focus. About half way through I thought I had missed bits. By the end I knew I didn't get the treat I expected and like most reviewers I cannot understand how it got rated so highly. For me, definitely Nolan's worse film by a long way.

V
(2009)

Slow start but the plot is thickening
Before I even read the comments on IMDb my opinion on the first episode was also that the 45 minute pilot episode seemed rushed and compressed with too much happening. It should have definitely been at least a 90 minute intro episode. However, I stuck with it and the story is now starting to take shape. I really do hope they continue for at least a couple of seasons (like the original) otherwise it will be a severe anti climax to the build up currently developing in the story.

The pilot episode was no match to the original but as the plot has begun to develop (in the more modern era) It has become much more entertaining. It seems to be the opposite to the original (which had a great opening mini series which then faded) This new series had, for me, a dire opening episode but is gaining my interest with each new episode.

Southland Tales
(2006)

Very Interesting movie IF you are a psychiatric patient!!
After the popular Donny Darko movie, I discovered Southland Tales was by the same guy, so it caught my attention. After reading a brief review I discovered it was also in the Sci-fi genre. Even better I thought, so I recorded it and one evening sat down to watch it. To all lover's of film here is a summary of what you can expect. 1. Donnie Darko type soundtrack 2. A creepy set of characters, the type normally found in a David Lynch Movie 3. An Amateur clone of Magnolia 4. Dire Dialogue 5. A totally ridiculous storyline In my opinion, this film is simply aimed at messing with the minds of drug users and psychiatric patients. Please don't get me wrong, I have NEVER written a bad review on IMDb before. If you still want to watch the film then please don't rate this comment until after you have viewed the movie. If you agree with this comment then please rate it helpful, so others don't waste their time with such tripe.
