How to Train Your Dragon
(2010)

How to train your dragon
This movie was very very good, in my opinion.

Even though the story is a little predictable, it is still an amazing movie. The Characters are likable, the cgi is amazing, and the voice acting is very very good. I saw this with my little sister and brother, and we all loved it. This movie has a great message, and I hope you all go to see this too. Its a great movie.

In my opinion, the message of the movie is about trying to see things a different way. Like, to explore and delve. For example, wolves are very unwelcome here in the US, but we need them. So of course people try to hunt them, but there are organizations out there that are trying to put an end to this wolf killing as they ARE actually vital to our environment.

Then again, this is my two cents and what I think. Everyone has their own opinion.

Beowulf
(2007)

Beo-WHAT?
OK.

This movie.

Was.

Weird. It was OK. But weird.

I just watched this for the first time in our home theater. Excuse me for the late review.

The CGI I have to say was well done, they could have done better in some parts, but very well done. I understand that everything takes a lot of money so it's all good. But like, why all of this nudity? I love blood and gore, so that was a great little treat, but all the nudity was, a little unnecessary. We all know Angelina Jolie's beautiful. :P Anyway, I have to say, the voice acting was pretty good. However, I found that there were a few minor flaws. When Beowulf spoke. It seemed like he had his mouth full or something. Now no, I could understand him. Err, here, let me give you an example.

"That monster.....is.............no match.........for.........me" Like, gosh, could you make your dialogue go any slower? Stop it with the pausing! The way he, and amongst other characters in the film, delivered dialogue like that was a huge bomb on my rating. Which is what brought the rating down :(. Also what was a big bummer for me was the fact that the movie just....ended. Like, come on. I understand that not all movies usually end with the hero killing the bad guy. But seriously, I honestly wished there was a huge fight between Angelina and... whatever his name was... ha-ha. Sorry, I am bad with names. But yeah, I would have loved a final fight.

But I sort of understand WHY they ended it there I suppose. People are greedy, and therefore they do whatever they can to get it.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. It was nice, don't know if I'd see it again if I had the chance. :/ It wasn't too spectacular.

Up
(2009)

Up up and away!
This movie has touched my heart, as most pixar movies have. The CGI was excellent, the story was of course a little predictable, but nevertheless flawless and definitely a new breath of fresh air. The acting was great, and I especially loved the inside jokes.

"SQUIRREL!" :P. To be honest, that was priceless in my opinion. The dog was great, so was the little kid, just all the characters made this movie special. This is a great movie for both children and adults alike.

I loved what I thought was the "secret message" behind the film. I am guessing it's.... we humans are so caught up in catching what we want for "science" and whatnot, and yet we aren't even aware of the fact that it's hurting our environment, and thus hurting the food chain, in which, hunting for these special animals, makes them endangered, eventually leaving them to die out, and eventually leaving us humans to wallow in our own pity and stupidity.

Yes, I thinking hunting endangered animals is wrong, and I am so glad that there are people out there who think just the same.

Haha, yeah, loved this movie, can't wait to get it on DVD :)

Oh, EDIT: I also loved the "follow your dreams" aspect of it :)! Very well done. And for all of you haters that criticize this movie, please, see it again, but with an OPEN MIND. WE all know pixar is amazing, and sure, every film has its flaws, but if you see it with an open mind, like i did, im pretty sure you'll enjoy it a lot more.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
(2009)

It was good... but not the best...
In all honesty, I thought this movie was alright. It kept me entertained. I don't see why so many people hate it, it kept me on my seat.

Some of the humor was rather un needed. That's what really got me. I suspect a movie such as this to be rather serious, so the attempts at comedy is what got me.

The CGI was alright, looked pretty real, but boy do I miss the old days where animatronics were the rage...

Anyway, I suppose there isn't too much to say... it was overall an okayish movie... it really sucks that they just tossed Gambit aside.... he's one of my favorite characters. Well, I don't know about you, but I think they just tossed him aside.

Slumdog Millionaire
(2008)

Beautiful movie... rated by a teenager
Okay, before I go on to review this masterpiece, back in 10th grade I took Asian History. And Indian History was one of the Histories taught. Our teacher showed me and my classmates horrid, powerful, disturbing images of India and it's poverty today. So, I was a little prepared for the images to be seen in this movie.

On with the review. This movie was amazing, it was totally accurate to what life is like in India. It is so poverty stricken and it really makes you thankful for what you have. I loved the camera movements, and the subplot was good, doing everything in his power, so he can find Latika... very very beautiful and moving.. when they kissed in the end, oh, did I just about bawl my eyes out. All that suffering, and pain, and hurt and poverty... just everything. This movie is moving, but it gives you hope, hope for the future of India...

Did you all know that out of the 6 billion people in this world, ONE BILLION live in India? It's so overcrowded, and all these things go wrong all the time there, and this movie couldn't have portrayed that better.

This movie, made me so thankful for my mother and father. For all you teens out there who hate your parents, can't wait to get out, go out to parties and get drunk etc etc.... just watch this movie, and you GO and hug your parents. Hug them NOW. I hugged them so tightly after watching this movie... (yes as you can see, I don't like going to parties very much) That beer, my fellow young people, the money for that beer you're chugging could be going to a good cause. It could feed an Indian family for a week.

Yes, this movie has also risen my awareness of poverty around the world, despite the fact that I have taken Indian History. I hope that, fellow young people that may be reading this review, you go and watch this movie, and you make sure you take in EVERYTHING. Go and hug your parents, your cell phone, hug your computer you're reading this off of!! You should be so thankful for what you have!! I loved this movie so much... I can't wait to see what the amazing director comes up with next.

10/10 five stars!

Twilight
(2008)

It...was.....okay?
Hm, it was okay for a movie. I've only read the first twilight book. I was excited to see the movie. and I left feeling, sort of satisfied. The movie was nothing spectacular. But lemme get on with the problems before i get on with the good stuff.

First, one thing that bugged me VERY much, BELLA SPOKE IN A MONOTONE! Just what the heck is up with that? What is that supposed to set up? The mood of the movie?! I don't know myself but still, I could have done better and i have NO acting experience.

They took out SO MANY IMPORTANT SCENES out of the movie! Like, come on! They really didn't show how Bella and Edward's friendship grew, it was a huge thing in the book, Bella went from hating him to thinking he wasn't such a bad guy to hating him again in the book, where as she goes straight into loving him in the movie! NO! They shouldn't do that i mean i know it happens a lot with us teenagers today, but really, take a big important part like THAT out? Just nun uh.

The scene with the glitter, no, just don't do it. Just no. It wasn't portrayed like that in the book, just no. I'm sorry but that scene was so bad, i could write a review on just that particular scene.... don't dump glitter on someone and have a random chick call him beautiful, good god. -___- I REALLY REALLY expected that the part where Edward played the piano for Bella to be so different, it just looked fake to be honest, all that lighting, its like they were in a studio seriously. In the book i just thought it was a regular like, family room or something. Which brings me to the music of the movie, it was, mediocre.... should got Joe Hisaishi in there :P! (for those of you who like hayo miyazaki films, you should know what I'm talking about) Okay, also i really didn't like the bit where she was running in the forest "I KNOW WHO JOO ARE EDWARD CULLEN D:!!!" Like, that was done so differently in the book and why didn't they do that in the movie?! they were IN the car! Ugh, and like, i loved all the questions that Edward and Bella asked each other in the book, and they were all teasing each other about it too saying "NO its my turn now." That just made it extra sweet :). They hardly asked questions at all in the movie! Also, like, after that scene when he took her up and he just zoomed off with her, i didn't like that either. it was portrayed so much better in the book, i mean she was going on a date with him, they hiked, clayed down at the top of the nice field, and they confessed their love even more. Loved that bit in the book, VERY disappointed they didn't do that. Besides, wasn't their FIRST KISS on top of that mountain anyway? Why was it in the bedroom then?! Ughhh....

I could ramble on for hours, but seriously i think i have shown you enough proof.

Anyway, good stuff now. Edward was pretty nice looking, but his acting was alright, coulda done better. same with Bella. I LOVEEEDD the way Alice looked, she was VERY pretty. Rosalie.....HM...nah, not how i depicted what she'd look like. Bella was pretty, but, they should have casted someone else, I'm sorry.

The scene where Bella's hand was burning definitely kept me on the edge of my seat even though i knew what was going to happen. :D which is good. The leaping around the trees with Edward etc.... just jumping around in general, it REALLY looked fake, they could have used some different angle shots to make it NOT look fake. just looked too fake. Hehe I'm saying more bad than good but still. The fight scenes were mediocre, coulda done a lot better.

I Liked VERY much how that person was watching at the end, i think it was Rosalie or that red headed girl i cant remember now ha ha. But i liked it a lot. Defintiley a cliff hanger for sure! Overall, get a new director, get a new Bella actor, fix up your....stuff....

MAKE THE NEXT MOVIE MORE TRUE TO THE BOOK Don't ADD ANYTHING IN THERE!!! GOSH!! D:!

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging
(2008)

Horrible movie
I just hate this movie. I'm a teenager myself and this movie disgusted me. For one, the main character in the film ,Georgia, was hideous looking. Oh my God i wanted to leave as soon as her face appeared. Now, now, before you go and reply back or whatever, hear me out, good god. Anyway, back to the movie itself. Her as a character is a completely different story. The way the characters put emphasis on their way of speaking made me just cringe, like i had to cover my ears it was so loud. The parenting was just disgusting. Like, in the end "I'm going to take you to your first night club!" as her mother said. WHAT THE HELL?! She's fourteen and SHES GOING TO A NIGHT CLUB?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! That's just. OH my god.

The story line is over used. Honestly, i think I'm actually going to read the books so i could get the REAL story and not some Hollywood trash they brought out. This movie was rated PG when i went to see it, it should be PG 13. Let me give you some examples

"LETS GO BOY STALKING!" "Yeah, my mom could put a whole pencil case in her boobs." "Well YOU DID ask what it was like being felt up!" "OH my God, you're like, going 7 on the scale already?!"(which basically means sex in what i heard from the movie. I don't know)

They put so much slang into their way of speaking, i should have brought a translator. Good Lord.

I have so much more to say, but this movie's so bad, i don't think it's even worth it.

I'd give it a ZERO, even a negative one if i could.

This movie is worse than EPIC movie. Id rather see THAT than this pile of trash. Just don't see it. Just don't i beg you. I wasted my money.

Also this is my first review ever. How lucky! Expect plenty more from me in the near future.
