Valhalla Rising
(2009)

What just happened here?
I rented Valhalla hoping of an "epic" story about the Viking Valhalla and him rising to kick some royal viking a%%! Sadly I was terribly.. terribly mistaken.

To make things equal for everyone, think of this movie this way. Some people like to find art to be mosaic and to say something, like some of the things Leonardo da Vinci made. Some like to find meaning in a painting that doesn't show it up front, just like someone taking a paintbrush and just brushing streaks left/right then throwing a bunch of splash's everywhere. Valhalla Rising falls into streaks and splash's, it takes a bunch of people you know nothing and will never know nothing about, it puts you in a scene where you know nothing of, it has no dialogue to explain anything that's really happening, and in the end you end up making up your own mind of what really happened.

For me, I need to see and hear a meaning. I felt really appalled that I just wasted 2 hours and $4.99+tax on something that showed me and said to me, nothing. But for some it could of been the best thing they've seen all week!

My overall conclusion = Vikings are way more bada%% than this!

Dog Pound
(2010)

Truly a lesson and something that desperately needs to be improved upon.
Dog Pound had a huge effect on me unlike most films that have come out in the past couple months. You start to really feel for the characters and their issues also everything during the movie goes along smoothly. Every actor worked their role correctly and, in my opinion, perfectly. If people just truly gave a couple seconds to be down to earth with these juniors, just for once put yourself in their own positions, many of the problems in this film could of had a much better outcome. Great story, great action, and just overall a good watch. This is a must see for everyone who has the stomach and the mind set. These actions are actually happening today and needs to be solved.. but sadly I may not see it in my years.

The Descent: Part 2
(2009)

Absolutely a waste
Hello viewers,

Descent 2 comes not even 20% close to its first video. The amount of un practical practices in this video make it very "lame" and very very childish. The first descent focused on a great story, with great horror, and just overall scary effect, descent 2 on the other hand was a total opposite to all this.

More than 70% of this film had me complaining about how unpractical with the type of things that were happening, and the film turned into an annoying thing to watch. For instance, Sarah (the survivor) forgets everything about what happened - she also goes against the team that were just trying to help her in the first 10 minutes of going into the cave again turning everything into a mess - she causes the life of 1 member in the team. To be brief, I turned it off after that. Really why would a women forget everything after spending months in a scenario that was life threatening, she wouldn't explain to her teammates of a great hazard, and she also costed them their lives.

Hollywood needs to be more practical in films. An even better story would of been, the team going into the cave with sarah having her full memory intact and, working as a team, try to find the MIA from the previous team. Then during this time have them going through many scenario's with the unknown beings eventually having a meeting with the queen or breeder of these monsters - possibly costing them their own lives or killing the entire race.

But no, being Hollywood, lets turn the main character into a crazy person forgetting everything that she had stuck in her brain for the past 3 or 4 months. Have her kill off her own teammates 1 by 1, and just turn the entire storyline into blah from the first Descent.

Maybe tomorrow I will start it up again and see what happens. I'm almost 100% they all die at the end and sarah continues to be crazy and get through scenarios by herself without the others. Its cool now, in movies, to be selfish and non considerate of others.
