although i found the actual story very depressing, i finished the book and could not possibly avoid the film with it, therefor i must agree with most that this IS the best Anne Frank film I have ever seen. The acting was rediculously perfect and the right people for the part, and a very good Anne Frank actress, rather adorable i think.
