At 7 stars it's underrated This is more closely aligned to vikings with its myth, magic and folklore than a period piece. Like Vikings it's violent , raw and at times disturbing. Like Vikings it's humorous, warm, and magical. Britannia, is not as tight aa Vikings or quite as compulsive but its very close.
There are some wonderful characters and top notch performances. The sets are good and locations very good.
Compared to Vikings , which just may be the best action drama ever , Britannia lacks the epic feel and the lavish production but I still devoured each episode and didn't want it to end. I had no hesitation in buying the second and third season and I was not disappointed.
It deserves a 10 because it delivers in every episode.
