Vicky Donor
(2012)

Delicious Punjabi tadka
Vicky Donor is a nice attempt to bring conservative thinking of Indians and somewhat less discussed topic in our society, in a light manner. Movie starts on a light note, carries itself the same for 2 hours and ends happily. Spare few emotional sequences of course.

Movie revolves around the topic of Sperm Donation, people suffering from infertility and its serious effects on their lives and a crazy doctor who is too much deep into this profession that even his fingers start running when he speaks word "Sperm". A wonderful pictorial representation of the it.

Anu Kapur acted fabulously as the crazy doctor, who sees the world as a sperm. He finds Ayushman as an extremely promising sperm for his business. Ayushman, despite of fearing about the society and their talks about his unusual job joins the Doctor. Though his first commercial movie, he played his role of a Desi, careless, fun loving and wanna be a big shot young man, with superb brilliance and surprising ease. His quirky replies keep a smile through out the movie. Everybody else too have played their part quite nicely. Must mentions are the catchy sequences of Vicky's ultra open grand mom and his mom, their tuning and their comments to prove other wrong. It is certainly the show stealer in the movie. Music is pleasant sometimes and Dialogs are also helpful in maintaining the pace of the movie.

For sure, a not to miss flick. Watch it for a new topic, with some new faces and pacy movie with mix of Punjabi tadka.

Bodyguard
(2011)

An entertaining action flick with worst possible ending!!
Starting from Wanted, Salman started a special genre of movies which stars a hero which is Crazy, Insane, carries a unique attitude and style of doing things, have a punch line always with him, moves his body in a fashion, no one ever did and creates an aura around him, which overshadows all the other characters in the movie. After Dabang and Ready which just manages to maintain this, Bodyguard takes the Wanted tradition to a new height, spare the ending of the movie. Salman as a Bodyguard named Lovely Singh has a bookish and sincere approach to his job with all the strange rules, which certainly brings smile on your lips. His "Ahsaan" dialog, his breathing biceps as a dance step and his ruthless beating black and blue to the Gundas surely makes his fans jumping on their seats.

The movie starts with a sensational entry followed by a blasting action sequence of Salman. From the very beginning movie creates its own aura that continues in spite of few longer romantic sequences until movie reaches to last 15 mins. After Salman finishes and breaks down all the possible danger to Karina it was all well taken by the audience, whistling, applauding and shouting in praise and madness.

Nobody would have even imagined about such a pathetic ending of a nicely directed movie by Mr. Siddique which seemed to be handed over to some other writer for its ending and director for last few scenes. The end of the movie can very well be the last fighting sequence and everybody in the theater would have gone back with dancing legs, a smile and a tickle about such a Strange but lovable stud hero. Movie completely lose its track in its last 15 mins. Why these twists and turns when movie is actually not intended to be made in such a way.

Not to forget, mentioning the marvelous action in the movie which undoubtedly is the best in bollywood in last decade. Music as well as background score is also a positive for the movie. Overall it was again a Sallu movie and quite and entertaining one.

Cut this ending and release it again with an alternate one.

404: Error Not Found
(2011)

Hat's off for such a brave and successful experiment
Firstly I want to give a standing applaud for the brave and bold experiment in Boolywood by Mr. Director "Praval Raman". Mostly the fate of these movies are pre judged and decided in our country, same happened with 404 too. Not many movie enthusiast even know about this. What a pity! The movie is for every sincere movie lover, for all the Hollybood maniacs who claim Indian film industry having no sense, generates no meaningful movie.

The movie is based on the Psyche of human mind, its vulnerability to so called unexisting objects and ghosts. The movie is plotted in a medical college where freshers are being ragged and a boy named Abhimanyu, kinda stand against it. Also he insists his warden and teacher (Satish Kaushik) to allot him room no. 404 where a student died 3 yrs ago and a rumor was in the air about Ghosts and spirits in the room. In the parallel Prof. Anirudh is immensely impressed with Abhimanyu and working on a thesis on Bipolar Disorder. As movie gradually picks the pace, a series of events unturns and enters a slightly dark mode. Last 15-20 minutes are nail biting as the mystery unfolds.

As a psyche senior Imad Shah and his friends did a decent job. None of the actors is a biggie yet has done a full justice to their characters. Background score is commendable and is fullon successful in creating the aroma of mystery, fear and suspense. Few scenes of ragging like one in the room with red light in the room is surprisingly esthetically shot. Also Ranjan deserves full points in creating the environment of a college, sketching each character with solidity.

Hats off to him for such a brave experiment. Kudos :)

No One Killed Jessica
(2011)

Stick to the theme, nice music, strong performances
There are very few movies which can live upto your expectations and this movie is one of them. As was shown in the trailers and during promotional events of the movie, it was an open message to the audience that movie is based on a real incident, come and watch the movie without anticipating something heavenly. No one killed Jesica will be remembered as a successful endeavor to depict the murder case of Model Jesica lal. The movie starts on a high note with scintillating sound track Dilli Dilli and catch the momentum pretty soon. Thanks to Amit Trivedi for this masterpiece of the background music which creates the real life in the movie. It echos completely with the emotions and various scenes in the movie. Rani Mukharji as an firebrand reporter, the practical but human side of today's girl played her part awesomely and made a strong statement every time she appeared on screen. Vidya Balan on the other hand looked a little thin in her performance. She was supposed to play a character, carrying immense pain but with a hope of justice in her heart. I felt movie going off track only once during the last 20 minutes when, craziness of public about the justice to Jesica was over stretched. I rate it 7 for good direction, clean characterization, awesome music and stick to theme effort.

Band Baaja Baaraat
(2010)

Feel good factor is the USP of the movie
Happiness and smile was, what spread in the theater during most of the parts of the movie and this is why you go to some multiplex. The BBB earns full marks on this front. It is not a nonsense comedy which is pestering Bollywood from last 2-3 years. Neither is this, some intense, provoking, thoughtful movie. BBB is a very colorful, commercial and typical bollywood style movie which has a cute girl with a Desi Guy. It wonderfully depicts the confused mind of both of them when they have to decide on their career and love. It has romance, love, comedy, emotional drama(Thanks God, it didn't last long) and finally a heavenly pleasant happy ending.

BBB is the movie of a college girl who is utterly ambitious about staring her own Wedding Management company and a guy, who fell for her during a wedding and situations lead both of them to become partners in their newly started venture "Shadi Mubarak". How their relationship go through various Ups and Downs is shown as movie progress.

Talking about the performances, firstly Ranveer Singh deserves huge amount of accolades for his awesome acting. He never seamed like working in his debut project. He was very natural and confident throughout the movie. Anuska Sharma had shown some promise in her last flick "Badmash Company" and this movie certainly raises the bar for her. She did a commendable job in the movie, with her energetic presence and freshness. Wonderful acting by her.

Though the movie overall captivate the mind of the audience, its second half has some lose moments where one can feel bored. First half of the movie is pleasantly wonderful. Music of the movie maintains the speed and carries the freshness of BBB.

Delhi people are anyway loving this movie as Delhi places and other famous things are referenced in various frames. It is a nice movie to watch and surely adding up to a very small list of good movies in 2010.

Phas Gaye Re Obama
(2010)

A must watch movie with some superb acting and tremendous direction.
After a long long time, I was overjoyed after watching some movie. Wonderfully written script and at the top of that marvelous execution on the screen. A commendable screen play it was in the movie. With the theme of recession and its side effects on different classes of society, movie progresses. First few scenes give you a gut feeling that its not a routine come and go movie and after some 20 minutes, movie changes its gear. After interval you find yourself so engrossed in the movie that you starts guessing What's next... and end of the movie gifts you a great satisfaction and admiration on your lips for this master piece by Subhash Kapoor.

There is nobody in the cast, who did not do justice with their role. Rajat Kapoor played his trademark NRI role mercurially. It was an effortless, flawless, natural act from Rajat. Sanjay Mishra alias Bhai Sahab is also brilliant as always. Sarcasm in his super seriously delivered jokes forces you to an inevitable smile. Oye Lucky Lucky Oye famed Bangali, Manu Rishi has also displayed perfect timing with his role. His strong desire to go to US, his English classes and watching US based news with his glittering eyes and supportive dialogs in various frames ensured that his character is strongly written like every other character of the movie. Amol Gupte as NetaJi and Neha Dhupia as Munni gangster are also very promising.

The best part of the movie is, you never loose your smile. At the same time, you guess about the next action from either Rajat Kapoor or Manu Rishi or some Gangster. The light, humorous and a little sarcastic way of presenting some of the very sensitive truths of our society is really commendable. I am overwhelmed by watching this movie and hope, it would be liked and appreciated more than those clungy, crampy, non-sense movies, which are over flowing in the bollywood these days.

Allah Ke Banday
(2010)

A routine gangster movie with some nice acting
The movie started with a promise with some eye-catching act by younger versions of Yakub and Vijay (Played by Faruk and Sharam) but after few reals it changed the track to a routine Gangster movie. Second half of the movie mostly I feel, wasted in bloodshed and gun fights. Some of the "May be" strong characters were not sketched strongly enough and left the movie loosely made. Character of the Teacher by Atul Kulkarni could not make a mark because of too late entry and lesser part to play. Naseer Sahab too had nothing much to do in the movie. Anjana Sukhani was a showpiece in the movie like her previous movies. Movie would have the same impact even without her as she has nothing much in the movie and her frames can be counted on fingers. Though the music and background score of the movie certainly kept the movie going and maintained the overall decorum, it alone can not save the sinking ship. Sharman Joshi acted pretty maturely and Faruk also did well in his debut flick.

The unliked part of the movie was its strongly shown wrong, morally incorrect messages which overpowers the lesson from the movie, which kind of wrapped in a hurry in the last moment.

I give 6 points for its commendable background score, nice act by Sharman, Faruk and obviously their younger versions.

Saaheb
(1985)

Movie with a very hopeless theme
Looking at a bright star cast, I developed quite a few hopes with this movie but all worthless. I always found movie off track and progressing with no definite theme. It started on a light node and was moving smoothly with the entry of Amrita Sen. Though I could not figure out significance of his Mama's role played by Deven Verma. Many sequences of the movie did not make any sense to me, like Anil's visit to his brother in law's place, his visit to Amrita's place. Also why Anil's passion about football was consolidated again and again.

I am trying hard to convince myself that it was the story of the sacrifice of Anil, but sometime he was shown so lame that he is not absorbing, what is happening around him. Utpal Datt did a wonderful job but he is best suited in his typical energetic old man roles. His character was poorly sketched in the movie. Mostly it was a waste movie.

Badmaa$h Company
(2010)

Movie with awesome music and full bollywood masala
Its' the Idea that change your life. Running on this punch line, this is a movie of 4 friends, who are deadly fascinated about luxurious and ravishing life style and wanted to make some quick bucks. Shahid Kapoor as Karan has his own ambitions, which got sparked after meeting Bulbul and some fast tragedies in life. The nice thing about the movie is it's its fast moving story with it wonderful music. With the beauty of the music, their life also moves on a Rapidly swift pace, from "Dust to Riches", all riding on Karan's Idea. How things change, friendship perishes, an ordinary guy turned to savage, enraged chap and finally life throws him some lessons. Movie has all the masala, one expect in a bollywood movie "Love, Romance, Music, Emotions, fight and above all heroism of Shahid with punch of heart touching friendship". Anushka is looking awesomely hot and gorgeous and turns on the heat in few scenes. Chandu and Zing played their roles at par expectations and made a kind of good debut. Shahid also played his flamboyant, infuriated, Godlike role as it was demanded in the movie. Good work by him. Overall its a movie with full bollywood tadka. Full points for good cinematography and location selection. That was commendable.

Housefull
(2010)

Zero expectation, Zero brain and you will enjoy it
Housefull is a movie to watch out with your friends who don't carry their intellect always with them, at least not at places where its not required. You are finished if you are going a Sazid Khan's comedy movie with some brain. Don't put your logic, because it hurts when it fails, and it hurts more when it fails at every second scene. So Housefull is a flick to watch out for full fun and big laughter but with above mentioned condition : No Brain please :). Some sequences of the movie are killing and make you roll on your seat with laughter. It's a new kind of weirdo bollywood comedy on the ancient plot of lies and misunderstanding created out of it. Thanks Sazid for not reusing the formula of infinite chaos. Akshay Kumar's acting is Bindaas and his over innocent expressions bring numerous smiles at times. At places Sazid is 10/10 in creating situations and comedy out of it even if it is not taking story anywhere. Music is average apart from 1 track "Mar Javaan". Overall its a watch to pull out your stress. Just go, watch, laugh and enjoy it.

Tum Mile
(2009)

Watch it for Love and Music
Emraan Hashmi is back with his trademark style to lure girls and pitch in their lives as easily as breathing. His movies are the best school for "How to win a women's heart" and Tum Mile also adds a little weight in this statement. Before talking about the storyline, firstly I want to give all the hail to wonderful wonderful music. Its very melodious and all pleasure to listen, and for sure Romanticism filled in aroma of the movie is because of that aesthetic music. Thanks Preetam for this wonderful music. Now come back to movie, it is all about an artist who is passionate and talented but a low on his pockets. The guy has big dreams to buy an art gallery for his father. Accidentally he meets a beautiful girl and falls for her in very first sight. With his typical fundas and idiotic and sometimes irritating attitude, Hashmi make the girl crazy about him. The relationship blossoms but as girl is very successful editor and guy is still struggling for his punch start, they create differences and broke up finally. Life takes a U turn when they meet in a flight to Mumbai after 6 years and flowers of love that actually never died in their hearts again spread the fragrance in air. They land in Mumbai where rain is washing off the city completely. Here they meet again and in the shadow of that flood disaster situation the bond of love again shape up for them and brings them closer than ever.

Movie is a little slow when both have spats near to interval time. Anyway love birds will love the movie for sure and music of the movie make couples hold their hands tighter. On an average a good flick from Bhatt camp.

Kaminey
(2009)

Its a Vishal's experiment, which is not for all...
Kaminey is not a movie to remember for its novelty or superb acting but for its over hype. Vishal Bhardwaj is phenomenally talented person and having expectations with him is not incorrect but this time he failed. After movies like Maqbool and Omkara I was expecting some mind boggling stuff from Vishal but to be very true he is below par the expectations. This is analysis when he is compared to himself. Music of the movie is awesome. He has created some maverick music and for sure is the lifeline for the movie.

Why movie failed to deliver it was supposed to, because it took longer than audience bearing ability, in building the storyline of the movie. Till interval every frame was appearing with 1-2 new faces. It appears like Director sahab lost in his own excellence. Finally last 30-40 mins movie covered most of it weakness and managed to ended well, rather fantabulously.

As far as performance is concerned, all the actors did full justice to their character. Bhope Bhau and Charlie's frnd ( don't remember his name) were excellent. Even Shahid and Priyanka looked a little down to others in acting.

Overall its a Vishal's experiment to show the mean side of all of us. Good effort but meant for a little crowd.

Teree Sang: A Kidult Love Story
(2009)

Don't discuss the message in the movie, just go for entertainment..
A little confusing movie to me but finally ended with some meaningful message. One can argue that its a kind of clean-up in the end of the movie by Judge Anupam Kher, but actually its not very convincing. The movie started in flying colors with freshness of youth. It makes you smile to see immature love of the young couple. Satish Kaushik is fantastic in his role and did a commendable job. He played a poor auto-rickshaw man, who know how to be happy in limited means and have a very funny and light way to handling situations. His son fell in love with a big gun's daughter who is starving for her parents affection and seeking it outside the home. Rajat Kapoor, the father of the girl, is as always brilliant with his acting of a posh and rich man. The movie takes 90 degree turn after the girl gets pregnant and things start messing up badly. The second half of the movie was a little indigestible and appears very unrealistic, when the young couple don't bother for outside world and surprisingly they live a healthy life in most part of their out of home life. I personally feel, the movie is good in terms of entertainment but it conveys the youngistan of India a very dirty message. Satish Kaushik is a kind of person who has this gifted ability to make people laugh and convince. As a director he did justice with the movie with not so fairly big star-cast. Music is also good. Overall if you are not discussing the good and bads of the message in the movie, go, hang out and enjoy the movie.

12 O'Clock
(1958)

Good thriller during rising time of Indian Cinema
Its always good to remember your old good days and watching these movies are perfectly a pleasurable experience. Late 50's and 60's is considered as the golden time for Indian Cinema and this movie proves the statement. It was one of classic suspense thriller of that time, with star cast like Wahida Rahman and Guru Datt sahab. The story is tightly written and basically revolves around a murder. Beautiful mix of romance between Wahida and Guruji and humor part added by Johny Walker makes it a perfect one to watch. Gurudatt Sahib is playing a lawyer who is in love with Wahida ji and fighting a case of murder for her, when she is charged with it. The way story unwraps layer by layer is really a lesson to learn. The movie is better than most of modern time thrillers.

MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar
(2007)

A wonderful, cute and lovely movie... Must watch
Love makes you do all the crazy things in world and the beauty of love is you never realize what you are messing up. It always seems like no body is having any clue about your smart moves to get closer to your love but reality is mostly the opposite. The movie MP3 is immersed into wonderful aroma of love in its every minute. From beginning to end it draws smile on your face and gives you the lovely feeling of love. The movie starts with 4 school going teenagers, having a strong bond of friendship and doing all the fun in their school times. Everyone is characterized so beautifully that one starts finding himself in those characters. The cute part of the movie starts after entry of Ayesha, the most pretty face in recent times. Then how seeds of attraction turns into full blown blossoming tree of love is really aesthetic. How the guy jealous about her other friends, how his friends show a strong bond of friendship in his lows, is really awesomely pictured. I loved the cinematography part of the movie and also the great mixing of music throughout the events of the movie. Its like the most watchable movie of all the times. Have a fultoosh relaxation and chill out with this must watch. Its a perfect romantic flick with entirely fresh art of direction. Kudos to Robby Grewal, the director of the movie for his masterpiece effort.

Ru-Ba-Ru
(2008)

Good direction could turn it into a much much better one..
Sometimes you don't expect much out of the things but you feel happy when you really get more. Ru-ba-ru is such a movie that will give you similar feeling. I always saw something different in Hooda's acting and this movie again proved he is front in the queue to next superstar. Movie starts a little slowly and I will say some sloppy direction can turn off your mood. But after around 45 minutes movie takes a 90 degree turn and transformed into a thriller. I would say better direction could make it a wonderful watch but apparently it's not. In first few scenes, it looks like there is big big mistake in the dialogue sync between Randeep and Sahana. Anyways last one hr of the movie, when Randeep is starving hard to change the fate, brings movie back in the tone. Mysterious character of Kulbhushan Kharbanda as a Taxi driver makes you feel like presence of God or super natural power. The best part of the movie is its ending and it really feel great watching a short movie with some perfect ending. I must say its a must watch movie, not because of its direction, but because of its storyline, concept and some very good acting by Randeep.

Meerabai Not Out
(2008)

A good movie with a normal stat cast..
sometimes you expect nothing, but you get too much out of it. Meerabai Not Out is a movie exemplifying this statement. by sighting at the start cast and reviews I too had nothing special about the movie in my mind but someday I been to watch this movie. I find it quite nice. I wont say its a must watch movie but certainly its a one time watch. Characterization of roles is what, makes a script strong and then how the theme is being displayed on the screen makes it successful. In Meerabai Notout, characters are very well defined and direction is also good. The passion for cricket is adequately played by Mandira Bedi. I think she can be the best actress to do this role and she did it beautifully. Mahesh Manjarekar is a very potential actor and he proves it in the movie. A typical mumbaiya lay man, having burden of his family and sister, not very lucky on many occasions is looking for a groom for his sister and trying all the possible options. Irritating on every second minute, is like a part of his character. On the other part Mandira is a cricket freak, maths teacher who loves Anil Kumble and can't listen any word against him. Kumble also appeared in some of scenes of the movie. Movie runs with a good pace and ends with some drama at the end. Overall, I will say " you will love this movie if you believe in your own opinion. Its very true these kind of movies don't become a hit in India, but certainly better to watch than other flicks having nothing but big names.

Manorama: Six Feet Under
(2007)

Perfect acting by all.. A good suspense movie to watch...
This is a class Abhay Deol movie, which has actually played a very important role is setting his image in Bollywood. Yesterday I watched the movie second time and now could not stop myself to comment. The movie starts in a speed that appears to be very slow in beginning but as story gets in shape after entry of Sarika, you start guessing about the next sequence and this is the best part of it. Abhay Deol has acted fabulously and did complete justice with the character of a unsuccessful writer who wants his wife to shower with all the happiness, but unable to do that. Gul Panag also lived her role nicely. Kulbhushan Kharbanda is 10 out of 10. Raima Sen looks beautiful but performance-wise I rate her lower than others. The script is tightly written and directed and portrayed on the screen beautifully. The suspense in the movie is not forcefully created, its present in the movie. Overall its an aesthetic endeavor by Navdeep Singh. A must watch.... :)

Delhi-6
(2009)

Disappointing and confused movie.....
Disappointing !! Expectations raised with the promos and trailers broke into pieces ! Horrible endeavor of picturing such a serious topic of Hindu-Muslim communal tension by Mr. Rakesh Omprakash Mehra. From very beginning movie confuse you about its subject. Still pulling my hairs, why the heck, the sections of movie showing families having conservative thinking and belief in old myths. What was he actually trying out by this? Characters of the movie were not defined, plot drives you confused, whether it is a love story, or a drama showing old India and its culture or movie with a message for communal tension. After a movie like "Rang De Basanti" this can be worst you can think for from Mr. Director. The pleasing part of movie is only the music. Truly Refreshing and ear pleasing. Abhishek and Sonam proved to be fillers at the end. Number of dialogs by Sonam can be even counted on fingers. Abhishek had nothing much to act in the movie. Above all his acting of an NRI does all the injustice with the character. Movie could be a bit better if Mr. director would have been tried for a art movie instead of commercializing it. Finally A bad and confused effort !!

Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!
(2008)

Masterpiece of a movie !!
Oye Lucky Lucky Oye ! Lucky to get such a wonderful movie. when bollywood is producing only crap on name of Big flicks, OLLO, comparatively very low budget flick, brings a Breeze of freshness. The movie is a true masterpiece and extremely original because of its sheer brilliant direction. Hats off to Mr.Dibakar Banerjee for this great, aesthetic and tasteful movie in all the aspects. Dibakar earns full points for being that courageous to experiment is all the parts of movie, whether it is characterization, or multiple roles by Paresh Bhai, or folk, traditional music. Creativity inside him seems to be boiling in full temperature and that really raises our expectation bar for the next time. Abhay Deol could be the only adequate choice for that Ultra cool "Superchor" and he proves it. Abhay, having a special crowd of fans, again gifts them a terrific movie. His acing is awesome and fits very nicely to the character. His chuckling face, innocent smile drives you crazy and evokes a sense of pristine happiness inside you. Paresh Rawal is one of the most talented character artist of Hindi film industry and this movie consolidates the fact.

One thing, I am sure about the movie, those who will like it, wont be able to control himself watching it again and again. Very solid performance by young lucky and his cute, innocent greeting card girl. That sequence of movie is super cute and makes you hold your heart and breath. Music adds flavor in the movie and very nicely transplanted in background, that makes movie very speedy. Also for those who does not know, the singers were selected by folk songs competitions in haryana and Punjab's villages. Brilliant idea!! Truly wonderful and natural music, superb acting and innovative direction ! Kudos to all !!

Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye
(2009)

Be ready to take a dreamy ride ....
The movie will take you to some dreamy ride and a surprising concept of interaction with your dreams. Bollywood is amidst of its most experimental Cinema time and this movie is a special effort by Director Madhureeta Anand in that series. Wonderful, artistic, awesome are not the words for this movie but still its a colorful, good movie. The movie portrays life of a woman, disrespected and mentally harassed by her husband, whose life takes a turn when she start talking with her dream. Raima Sen's performance is good when it comes to a harassed housewife. Randeep Hudda is effective as always and did a great job. His changing outfits in different scenes sometimes make you smile. The movie overall is good and a light and nice experience to watch. The rule for the day is "Throw your logical brain outside before you start watching the movie".

Luck by Chance
(2009)

Pathetic flick by Mr. All
Very high expectations from the movie and very low scoring performances in all the walks of it. Whether it is direction or cinematography or acting, no scope for the relevant people. The script does not give any chance to any one. Movie revolves around exploitation of relationships, selfish and professional attitude of every bird of bollywood. Perhaps Joya tried to convey some message from the movie but dramatically failed in doing so. Farhan was unable to portray role of a confident, selfish guy and is neutral like any thing. Konkana can only be crowned and appreciated for her solid performance. It was the only positive of movie. Overall rating would be like "A senseless, time killing, pathetic piece of crap!" Sky mounting expectations from Mr. Farhan Akhtar and just on the opposite pole response in form of "Luck By Chance" to his loving crowd. The big lesson for the extremely talented and God blessed Farhan, that Direction is the damn area, he is best at. Its his strength, his due to his enormously large fan club. So better to restart with direction and bang back with some more master pieces.

Pretty Woman
(1990)

Nice script with very good direction
I have not watched too much Hollywood movies and probably this was the first of Richard Gere for me, but his acting has truly impressed me. He lived role of a sound, calm headed businessman who also have some vulnerable traits perfectly. The script was tightly written and kudos to director to draw it in the same way on the screen. Every character was perfectly defined and artists did full justice to their role. Julia appeared as over reacting some times but over all that was a great show by the director. Richard Gere was awesome in reflecting his traits. The insane movement of Julia on roads and shops really put humor touch in the movie to balance it. Overall it was a light movie to watch and to turn your mood on.

Summer 2007
(2008)

An eye opener with a message...
Kudos to script writer and director for this gr8 and worthy endeavor. I started the movie with no expectation, but ended it with heavy hearted and droplets in my eyes. The movie never came into the limelight and reason probably being the serious message and no songs around trees. Movies with big guns are selling like hot cakes in India, but such movies with a off beat script and comparatively low star cast never get attention. The movie is based on the miserable life of farmers in an Maharastra Village. Farmers are hand to mouth and indebted to Some Jamidar, who is a cruel and heartless man. His son exploits farmers and rapes their wives, assault them brutally and kills them at time. Five funky ERP (Extra Rich People) students from some medical college unintentionally becomes part of all this. The movie draws a very sensitive topic of suicides of farmers in India in pretty nice and logical style. All actors did their bit quite nicely and Ashutosh Rana was commendably gr8. Over all transformation of movie from fun life in college to the reality ground in some village is surly an eye opener. I recommend the movie to all for the message in the movie.

Saas Bahu Aur Sensex
(2008)

A light, sense full comedy
Saas, Bahu aur Sensex is an unexpectedly light comedy movie and one will surely enjoy watching this movie. Movie did not attract much attention because of less liked topic to be filmed "Stock Market". Farooq Shaikh was fabulous in his role of a Gujrati Stock broker. Kiran Kher played an intelligent, clever, strong lady, seeking way to make money, also gossiped badly by his society mates, finally turn wind in the direction she wanted. The ladies in the society lived the theme of a common gossip atmosphere in these posh societies quite fairly. Movie is also good in the way, it is not overloaded with songs and unnecessarily extended love scenes. It sticks to the theme and keeps you in light, smiling mood through out the movie duration. Movie has some profound messages in its kit, which are conveyed in a sense full way. Some useful advises for those invest in Share Market, with only dreaming for money making. Over all, its worth watching the movie and enjoy it with your family.
