Krakatoa: The Last Days
(2006)

Fantastic Documentary
I really wish "real" disaster movies like Dante's Peak, Volcano e.t.c would be more like this - and this was supposed to be a documentary/movie combination. Awesome special effects, especially the victims being burned by the pyroclastic cloud. The acting was superb!

The only thing that didn't look "good" was when the Captain saved the ship by "riding" the Tsunami. I'm quite sure that's now what really happened without the boat "falling over" or breaking in half, it just looked... unbelievable. I guess they went with a "special effects" bravery scene, since this movie was already heavy on special effects. There's also a scene where two men tie themselves to a pole to survive a tsunami flood, which also looked a bit fake.

Grey's Anatomy
(2005)

Always a happy ending!!!
Was some time ago I watched this, but I remember being so very angry when I did. EVERYTHING ends happy! It's happier than all the cartoons, Disney movies or children's stories I have ever read!

There was someone in the main cast doing something illegal which caused her to be fired, because she was considered to be a danger to patients. But to have a happy ending, they "forgive" her so she can come back to the job! WTF?

Another good example was an episode with a daughter that was transsexual, she wanted to be a boy no matter what. Her mother and father objected to this, hating her for even thinking that way. Of course the episode ends "happy" with the mother giving the daughter a boy haircut.

Actually every single episode has a happy ending no matter what. It seemed that the only time a patient actually died was if they were disfigured or fat, if it was a "pretty" patient, they never died.

I basically had it after the episode with the missile/bomb that was stuck in a man's chest. You KNEW that they were going to fix it, no problem, and all would end happy: And of course it did! Yeah, they even tried to create suspense by having the main character having her hand stuck by the bomb, being told "if you move an inch, the bomb will explode and you will die". Surprise - HAPPY ENDING

It's just pointless watching when everything ends happily ever after.
