  • silly

Too many silly caricatures of what a city folk or a country folk is. Yes, the opening 20 minutes has a lot of very silly things in it and I expected it to get better, but it didn't. It seems to me you should be able to make a faith-based movie without so many stereotypes. Not a fan. These are the kind of faith-based movies that give faith-based new movies, a bad reputation.

So many silly things. The city guy showing up to a farm looking to do work but not bringing any work clothes. His father going to church but answering his phone in the middle of a prayer. Just dumb stuff people aren't that silly..

Seems like it was written and directed by somebody in junior high. There is some good acting in some good writing, but it is sickening soap opera-Ish.

I guess that's 90 minutes of my life. I'll never get back.

  • What a cute movie!

A children's book editor, who really wants to be a writer, but isn't, "runs into" a very talented muralist.

At about the same time, her "eight year old self" shows up in her life. The little girl that plays that role is awesome!

The lead actress breaks up with the predictable, regular steady guy and goes out on a limb with the new muralist Illustrator. They begin to do a book together.

BTW Hallmark is putting the first kiss earlier and earlier into their movies.

Of course, the arc of the plot has to have a disappointing moment, and this one does.

This is funny, Hartfelt, and inspiring. I recommend you give it a try.

  • OK, but not good enough to recommend.

Could not find this movie on Hallmark. It showed up on YouTube.

Good enough to watch to the end, but not good enough to recommend.

The writing in the acting all seems very forced. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't warm up to it.

The former boyfriend is not even very likable. Of course, neither is the main character. I wish they would've written more lines for the dog, Zeus.

Continuity issue when she's at the house of the murdered woman. The detective tells her to stay there and don't knock on the door however she goes in and then they show her going for a run and getting whacked with a 2 x 6 in the head. A hit like that would've put her in the hospital and broken her skull.

No spoiler here, but it is a screwy ending.
