Hannibal Brooks
(1969)

crazy
The idea of a film telling the story of a POW taking an elephant across the Alps is ridiculous but guess what? It works. Good actors, fantastic scenery, action and fun, what else do you need? Well worth watching.

Joshua
(2002)

Uplifting
I thoroughly enjoyed this film,It carries a message of love and hope.

It's the story of a simple carpenter and his unconditional love for all people no matter their race, colour or creed.

It was well acted by good actors and when F Murray Abraham said "Oh my Lord", a shiver went up my spine as it did when Joshua said "Peter, do you not know me?" to the Pope.

A nice wholesome film for christians and non-christians alike.

Blackadder Goes Forth
(1989)

Very, very funny!
Probably the funniest programme i've ever seen. The characters are excellently played by the best of comedy actors using one of the finest scripts ever written. The ending turns your tears of laughter into tears of sorrow. BRILLIANT!!!

The World at War
(1973)

The ultimate war documentary.
From the very begining of the first episode when Sir Laurence Olivier described the horrific events in Oradour-Sur-Glane 'The day the soldiers came'. To the final days of the war when the mushroom clouds appeared over Japan, I never missed a second of this classic series and I remember it well even though it was screened way back in 1974. This whole series should be compulsory viewing for as many of the worlds children as possible so that the tragedy of WW2 is not repeated and that bigotry, hatred, greed and intolerance are not confused with patriotism or religious zeal.
