The Magic Christian
(1969)

Funny, Sweet, and Artistic all at the same time
the first time i saw this movie i didn't understand it but now i do and this is a great movie. it makes you look differently at human nature and its very artistic. i love ringo starr and he was adorable! for example, peter sellers reads ringo a story while ringo is covered with blankets up to his eyes. also when they watch a canoe race and someone says "why are you wearing that hat?" and ringo replies "to keep me head warm." and there is a hilarious scene when sellers tricks a police officer into eating a parking ticket! there are many more funny scenes but i'll let you see for yourself. monty python's cast also appears for brief cameos. its a classic, once you see it first and get the gist of it!

Magical Mystery Tour
(1967)

All you need is love
hey this a great movie! the songs are wonderful and the whole thing is so much fun! one of my favorite scenes was when john was playing with that little girl and saying HAVE A GUESS! [what a sweetie!]. it was really cool when the beatles sang i am the walrus. george was fantastic when he sang blue jay way. the beatles are naturally fun and they express it to the extreme here! i guess i can dig why almost everyone hates it but true beatles [like me] will show some compassion and appreciate this movie as the classic it is.

A Hard Day's Night
(1964)

Fab as the Four Themselves
i LOVE the beatles and seeing them on a movie screen is a thrill! the liverpool lads themselves are adorable, but the cute antics they go through will melt a heart of stone. made at the height of beatlemania, a hard day's night shows the individual personalities of the fab four. paul [my personal favorite] the whimsical one, john the funny-leader, george quiet but insightful at times, and ringo the sad puppy-faced one. ok, so it isn't exactly like their lives, but its pure fun anyway! it will keep you laughing, swooning, and singing all the way through! a must see for beatle fans [such as myself] or anyone looking for a classic film starring the world's favorite mop tops!

Studs Lonigan
(1960)

Incredibly Realistic!
adopted from the novel, this movie is one of the best movies EVER! christopher knight plays the misguided teen through a tough life in chicago. i saw this movie to see frank gorshin in his early career and i've never regretted it! the story really makes you think and if you're looking for good actors this is the movie to see! the cast was really in tune with their characters which made the movie really real. a superb film with an excellent cast and a great story!

Cinderfella
(1960)

Jerry Really Swings!
this is a sweet, warm and adorable film but i would feel better if jerry wrote it. taken from the fairy tale, jerry does it again by being funny and throwing in some cute gags! ed wynn was great as the fairy godfather and the rest of the cast made this a great, heart warming movie. but, of course, jerry really shined. as in the nutty professor, jerry belts out wonderful songs with his swinging voice. the story was written and flowed nicely, but if the ending explained fella's and princess charming's relationship together, it might of been for the better. wow! who knew jerry could dance so well! the scene when jerry turned a swinging dancer was one of the best scenes in the film! i recomend this movie for anyone looking for a cute and touching story with some jerry lewis charm!

Bells Are Ringing
(1960)

Laughs, Songs, and Fun!
i admit that this is the first judy holliday film i have ever saw and from her performance i'm sorry that entertainment lost her. i found that this movie had frank gorshin in it ke barton] so i had to see it! i loved how judy holliday portrayed ella, the way she sang and acted. my favorite song was the first one that she sang ["i'm in love with a man....."]. dean martin was his usual suave self and that gave the movie flare. it was wonderfully casted and the songs and story were so beautiful. if you're looking for a great movie beyond compare, this is it! definetly a classic that should not be forgotten!

The Errand Boy
(1961)

A Jerry Lewis Classic!!!!!!!
i first saw pieces of this movie on AMC and just had to rent it. the story is so sweet and that's what it's such a great film. it's hard to decide what would be considered the best scenes, but these are my favorites: when jerry gets the jelly-beans for the 3 kids and when he talks to that puppet goose. these show the childlike innocence of jerry and how morty s tashman felt about the studio, [these are near the middle of the film]. i think that not only jerry-fans will like this movie but anyone looking for a good movie to sit back and enjoy! next to the nutty professor, this is jerry's best work! definetly a wonderful story to behold!

The Nutty Professor
(1963)

Nutty + Proffesor= Fun!
i enjoy watching jerry lewis's movies and this one is an all-time classic! the story is out of the ordinary and that's what makes it fun and enjoyable. it's very interesting to watch jerry's cute mannerisms such as:running his tongue over his teeth, stuttering [especially towards stella]and that memorable voice. i find the proffesor kelp character much more appealing then buddy love. b.l. can get on one's nerves with his smooth fonzie/gangster attitude. one of the best scenes in the movie was when j.l. sings "that old black magic". stella stevens portrays stella very well but how could a student/teacher marriage be looked upon? a must see and definetly a classic!

Where the Boys Are
(1960)

"....Someone waits for me"
i don't understand how anyone cannot like this film! the story about the 4 co-eds is mind-grabbing but i couldn't help wondering if all that sex talk would be looked upon well, it being the good old sixties. i would descibe this film as smooth, quirky, dramatic, and fun. i am a HUGE fan of frank gorshin and i loved his portrayl of basil. the whole cast was was very good and that made it a great film. i usually rent this film at least once a month. but am i the only one who adores basil's glasses?
