The last episode was good enough to rescue a bunch of the weaker ones....
There was too much rampant sex. Many of the characters weren't very well developed Eric Tao is a horrible actor. But the final 'RIF' is brutal and so true, that it makes up for all the other weaknesses. Harper is great and so believable.... And who they accepted on Rif and for what reasons is just perfect.

I enjoyed it.
I see many mixed reviews, but I found it thoroughly entertaining. Almost all of the plot was explained through action, not dialogue. It was paced nicely and had some cool original ideas. If a movie keeps me watching the entire way through, and has me thinking and not bored, I give it 10 stars.

And this one kept my interest and had me concentrating.

Good job!

Cats
(2019)

CATS-2019
It has infected the world. And now all cats have human feet.

OMG, this is horrible. In my entire life I have rated two films under 5 stars.

CATS-2019 is so bad it can't even been good.

And James Corden. Nice guy. I love him. But he was the worst human cat of them all, and they all really bad.

The Amaranth
(2018)

Its was well done but they focused on the WRONG CHARACTERS.
Why did they focus on the old people?

They should have made the story about the young organ donors....

This was such a fundamental flaw.

It would have been so much more interesting to have the story about the young organ donors, and all the 'old' people as minor characters.

The movie was well paced but not as interesting or unique or shocking as it ould have been.

Vivarium
(2019)

It kept my interest but they should have ended it differently
Instead of killing off the main characters and going for the little alien twist at the end, it would have been much more satisfying to have Gemma somehow kill them and get out. But overall it kept my interest, and any movie that can keep me entertained the entire time I always give a top rating. A well thought out unique alien movie, but sadly with a deeply unsatisfying ending.

Cursed
(2020)

Why all the bad reviews, what is wrong with people?
I thought this show was amazing. The music is tremendous the SFX are awesome, the characters are fleshed out and believable. The storyline has some wonderful surprises at the end. Its fine to dislike a show, but there is no way this type of effort deserves one star, ever. I absolutely loved the show. Someone may not have that strong of an opinion, but it certainly was a wonderful original idea that was well thought out. It breaks my heart to see one, two and three star reviews of a show so well original and well done.

Mortal Engines
(2018)

Such a cool idea, but the movie came off as very scripted, and the scenes with the 'Shrike' are almost comical.
I liked it. It kept me entertained, and it was such a unique idea. But I feel like they forced this really interesting world into a movie formula to make it more palatable for a larger audience. And the scenes with the Shrike, OMG. THAT was bad. I literally laughed when I was supposed to cry.

Undone
(2019)

Cool animation style that augments the plot
They used some type of technique called 'rotoscoping', where they hand draw over the live video, and use actual oil-paintings as backgrounds? Sounds massively and overly complicated, but whatever the drawing technique it was really cool. It looked hand-drawn, as opposed to that fake CGI look you get. But this hand-drawn reality 'drew' (pun intended) you into the story line. It made the stretching of reality more fluid and believable. This entire series is a beautiful work of art. its really neat to see all the carefully hand drawn shapes and shadows, as opposed to the math and exact calculations that a CGI rendering would show. Very impressed. The movie CATS should have done this... and it would have been so much better. Anyway, great job!!

The Daughter
(2015)

Well written movie but too serious....
The first half hour it is nearly impossible to figure out where the movie is headed... Which can be good or bad. I was afraid the whole movie was just going to be drift around with no point. (That is not the case)

Then, you 'get it' and understand what is happening. But WHY? It is so disturbing. There is less than 15 seconds of humor in the whole film.

It is extremely emotionally taxing.

Normally, when anything in any genre is well made I instantly enjoy it.

This was wonderfully produced, acted, and well written but the topic. Too much...

Why make such a dark movie?

The Silent Child
(2017)

This really should win the Oscar... sadly I can guarantee Watu Wote will....
All of the Oscar Nominated short films are wonderfully done and interesting. And this IS the best of the best. So emotional... AND I learned something right at the end I would have never even thought about.

However, there is another film Watu Wote about Muslims and Christians that I would literally bet 5,000 bucks will win the Oscar due to the politics.

And this is why the Oscars should really try to stay neutral. Because this short film was absolutely wonderful, and should be the 'winner'.

But regardless. Great job! We loved this film and both of us were crying at the end. Lovely, lovely film.
