All About the Benjamins
(2002)

A Dud with a few good actors
This movie doesn't have much to offer. It isn't funny at any point, the characters are paper thin, and largely doesn't have a point.

Ice Cube and Mike Epps don't really do much as a comedy duo in this movie, it seems that they worked well in the Friday 2 and 3 but just kind of phoned it in for this one. This would be probably be a 3 star rating from me if I didn't like Ice Cube and Mike Epps. Hell, maybe I'd give this a 5 or a 6 if there was anything funny present in the film other than just the presence of the main duo. (Note: if you take a look at some of my ratings, you'll notice that I like a lot of stuff and give a pass to a LOT of stuff that you would probably think is way worse had you not seen this)

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning
(2012)

Very different and quite disappointing. Awesome in it's own right though.
Being a fan of all older action movies containing action stars(mostly the ones featured in The Expendables 1+2, including Seagal)and two other films in the Universal Soldier series, I was really really excited to see this one. Recently we had US: Regeneration. That movie was a fun and pulpy action flick that I was excited to see had brought back both JCVD and Lundgren. When I saw that both were in this movie and saw the CRAZY trailer that accompanied DOR, I was chomping at the bit to see it.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that the movie advertises differently, Van Damme and Lundgren were BARELY IN IT!

Basically I don't want to give too much away but the movie requires some thinking to wrap your mind around what the hell is going on, and some of the violence was a tad cheesy.

On the bright side, I did like the movie more after I thought about it and I did really enjoy all of the action and nudity present. I just am having trouble getting over the fact that the main two actors I wanted to see were barely in the damn thing. Although Scott Adkins is decent as the main character action-wise. I guess his acting is fine.

All of these flaws are made up for slightly with some action and bare breasts making this a film that will make you feel like you grew an extra pair.
